  1. This cable is connected to the fog light front fascia support bar. Maybe an ambient temp sensor? I’ve also got a random bolt next to the off side horn. Any ideas, maybe the OEM horn bracket required two bolts?
  2. Can anyone help describe the following part numbers and how they’re attached please. This part is discontinued, it’s part 3 on the above drawing. It looks like a cable tie, is that right, where does it attach? 24228-89984 I can still get this part from CZP but again it looks like a cable tie. Where does it go? 01552-00431 Cheers, Chris.
  3. For you information... https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-49661636 Please check your appliances... https://dryerrecall.whirlpool.co.uk/
  4. SWEET! All there apart from 2x part number 2 and 3x part number 8. I’ve already found the jets and covers. :cool3: Thanks for the heads up Andrew.
  5. Nothing as precise for me but I did find time to remove my off side headlight, air box intake pipe and front bumper bracket. I’m really happy to find solid metal with every item I’ve removed.
  6. My wife measured it?!
  7. Cheers mate. It’s just come about so quickly, if it hadn’t of been for the massive sleep deprivation after my second, I still feels like only yesterday he was a little bundle of baby sleeping on my tummy.
  8. Archie, my eldest, had his first day at big school today. It was only a half day but he had a great time and emotionally kept it together way better than I did. Thought I’d share a few photos with you. Much more relaxed on the way home.
  9. This sound great, unfortunately I’m on a day shift. :bored:
  10. I would have pressed the like button but your post is missing something.
  11. Ok guys, I’ll look into it.
  12. Thanks Ian, they haven’t but to be honest I kind of like the perversion of having to fight to get them out properly. :devil2: Now welding a nut to underside so it’s fix from the top for easy removal and cleaning would be cool.
  13. I know Howard, why am I doing this to a perfectly good car. :confused1: So I managed to grab an hour to have a go at removing the headlights today (every little bit of time helps) and had a bit of a mixed bag. Firstly, what a pig it was to remove the near side headlights rear off side bolt. I couldn’t get to it without removing part of the intake and in doing so snapped my first bolt and split the grommet in half (I’ll be posting a request for the proper name of the offending intake part in my What’s this part called? post soon. Offending intake pipe Snapped bold and rubber grommet. IF ANYONE CAN POINT ME IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION TO REPLACING THESE PARTS I WOULD BE VERY GREATFUL. I will try Nissan but I doubt they’ll be able to help. Nice rust free empty space where a headlight once sat. And a dirty light that is the cause of all this effort. So who thinks I should clean up what I’ve got off and reattach before I do something silly and who thinks I should carry on going and see where this road ends? Oh and for your amusement here is a picture of all the parts I’ve had to take off to get this far.
  14. I think it is two but without reassembling the number I couldn’t be sure. Thank mate.
  15. Thanks Andrew. I think I’ll clean them up and tuck them away with the standard intake box in the loft.
  16. After removing the air ducts from my car, in preparation for a good clean, I was left thinking that I must have missed something as they looked really ineffective. I took a look at the drawing of the system and it really does look pointless. Does the air ducting really just “draw air in” from the top of the front quarter panel? If I’m using a cone filter is there any point in retaining the ducting? Cheers, Chris.
  17. I think so Andrew. It’s unlikely that even if I found a white one that the paint wouldn’t need a full respray among many other things. My car has such a strong base, it’s just seems to make sense to spray mine the colour i want. The only bug bear is that the VIN plate and log book won’t line up with the colour however I think you can change a log book and the white I go for probably won’t be OEM.
  18. Umm, only god knows. It was just meant to be the front bumper, to get that mesh off, and get the headlights out for a good clean. However the more I see the more I want to do. I can see it ending with Jim getting my engine on a crate for a forge rebuild and the engine bay getting sprayed white before hosting an engine fitting party. :w00t: :sweatdrop:
  19. So to help me list what parts go where I need to know the names of things. This way I can bag everything separately and label accordingly, making the rebuild a whole lot easier. My first part is this water bottle? And this bracket? Thanks for your help.
  20. I haven’t got them nor will I part with that kind of money for them. I’ll hold out for a clean used set.
  21. Hi guys I thought that while I’m busy cleaning up the front of my car I’d have a look at reinstalling the headlight washers. Personally I love the look of them. Has anyone got a drawing of how they are installed and a list of parts I will need? The only clue that I think where my plumbing should start is a blocked hose coming off the washer tank. Cheers, Chris.
  22. I’d be very happy to read a comprehensive how to guid with lots of pictures as it’s a job I may end up doing myself.
  23. George I’m going to hold off with the seat bolster group buy until after 31st of October. What with all the fuss about Brexit and the week pound we may be better waiting until Donald Trump gives us our amazing trade deal, who knows it could be free seat bolsters with every lump of cheese.
