Simply Japanese 28th July - 2019
Unfortunately my shift pattern has just changed and I’m booked on for a day shift on the 28th now. I’ll try and see if I can get the day off but due to the shift change my first day (well it’s a night shift) will be this Sunday. If this is too late for confirmation then I’ll have to say I’m unable to go.

Hard lesson learned!
Oh no, sorry mate. Do you think that even if you had brought it properly via eBay you would have had more luck getting the money back from the seller? I doubt it, so don’t beat yourself up to much about that. I hate buying “big” items on eBay. I thought you wanted to go for a manual conversion?

Boxhill to Brighton - Summer Run ?
I’ve also been through this before. After 4 years of ignoring them I never heard anything further. It was laughable that I had an £80 fine that would go down to £40 if I paid straight away. Then when that bonus time elapsed it went back to £80, a year or so later it went up to £160. The following year the threat of bailiffs being sent round came, I was then offered that paying £20 will have it settled. Eventually we moved (not because of the threat) but I didn’t have any further correspondence forwarded to me. Maybe I should check UKs most wanted? I just need to decide if I want all these harassment letters sent to me again?

Boxhill to Brighton - Summer Run ?
Thanks mate, I think I will call the pub and see what they say. However I can imagine they’ll tell me to take it up with the parking firm who typically tell you to poke it. I’ll keep you informed.

Project UK rewind
Thanks Andrew. The problem is I now want to start unbolting parts to send off to get painted but I don’t know what parts are simple and safe for me to remove. For example is the balance bar easy to remove (just a few bolts and gaskets) or will it need “setting up” once it goes back on?

What did you do to your zed today?
Today I started cleaning the engine... You can read my journal for more details (subscribed members only though, so sign up today.)

Project UK rewind
Whilst at the recent Boxhill to Brighton summer run I was asked to pop the bonnet of my 300zx. This has always been a shameful task for me as my engine always looks grubby. Previous attempts to clean under the hood have always been disappointing, I’ve tried steam cleaning and G101 with both products having little effect. During the recent shaming Andrew suggested I tried brake cleaner and I’m very pleased with the result. I only had a few hours but here are the results so far... Little test area... After I’ve cleaned everything I can get to without unbolting parts I’ll try and get parts off for painting. I’ll be looking for advice on what can come off simply.

Did you threaten the staff, like you did yesterday, that if you don’t get your food within two minutes and before everyone who placed an order before you that there would be hell to pay?

Injector connector replacement
Thanks Jim. Are you talking about this one Jim? It doesn’t sound like it’s OEM.

Injector connector replacement
Do I need the loom for my chassis number if I’m changing the injectors? I’m also going to be changing the gear box to a “98 spec, would that be relevant to which loom I order?
-
Injector connector replacement
Jim, shall I order a new loom from Nissan? I seem to remember you saying there are inferior looms on the market to avoid? That loom can sit in the loft until the engine comes out.

I was ok until we got to Brighton then I just started to feel my forehead heating up. I should have put the roof on for the drive home but the weather was just too nice.- Injector connector replacement
Thanks guys. Are the coil pack connectors also easy enough to do?- Boxhill to Brighton - Summer Run ?
