Cheers Tony. I’ve tried google and I can’t find a particularly good S8 specific platform. I have found www.a8parts.co.uk which seems to be ok but not really what I was looking for.- UK Audi forum recommendations
Hi guys. Can anyone recommend a great UK based Audi forum. I’m looking to change my daily runner towards the end of the summer and I’m being tickled by a D3 Audi S8 (among other cars) and would like to get involved in a forum for pre purchase home work. Cheers, Chris.- Project UK rewind
A lot of the work I’m doing at the moment isn’t very expensive, just time consuming. But in fairness my car was perfectly serviceable to start with, just not been as loved over the later years by the previous owner. Pick a small area to work on mate, start a “project thread” and get to work. ?- Project UK rewind
Hi Jeff I left it soaking in a few different products (bleach, bicarbonate soda, vanish etc...). Vanish gave the best result. I also filled the tank half way with cold water and added a fist full of chickpeas to dislodge all the gunk from the inside.- Project UK rewind
I was just reading that post again. Don’t know why I thought it was a tampon that got used. ?- Project UK rewind
Not to a satisfactory standard Andrew. I did get a load of muck out but I couldn’t get the angles required, my product left too much residue and my cloth (tampon) left a load of fibre on the glass.- Project UK rewind

Have you been before?- Classic car and restoration show
For the attention of Jim @ PowerZed, I have a wonderful idea and opportunity for you. I propose that next year I supply the car, you supply the parts, labour, tools and together we could put on a wonderful show for the paying public on how a master totally refurbs the underside of a 300zx. ? On a more serious note is anyone attending, has anyone ever attended this event and was it any good?- Wet zed

Which would you guys recommend? I’m about ready to start rebuilding the off side area around the intercooler and along the front box section where the oil coolers sit (I can’t think what this areas correct name is). The tin work around these areas are in great condition but I’d like to make sure it stays that way. As there is no top coat here (it looks like it’s just painted in primer grey) I was toying with painting the area black. Would this be over kill? There is a strong possibility that I’m going to spray the bay black one day and will certainly get it professionally painted when the day comes that there is an engine out job to do. What would you guys do?- What Shocks to go for?
I currently have Tokicos on my 300. I’ve got them set to the softest setting and they’re comfortable enough but I’ve no idea how they compare to OEM, set on level 3 they’re way to hard for me. This set up is on standard springs.- Hampshire Z
You can buy many used parts from Paul at Banzai Breakers. I can and so will a lot of other members recommend him. ?- Happy Birthday Jimmer
Happy birthday Jim, hope you’re having a great day. ??- Project UK rewind
Thanks Andrew. ? It’s not been clamped up yet (as you see) as I want to give it a flush after I put the cooler rad back on.- Project UK rewind

Yesterday I gave the PS pot a good rub down with some 1200 grit paper and applied the lacquer. Without question this was the hardest paint to apply and unfortunately I have created a few runs. It’s nothing that I can’t fix but I’m a little frustrated with myself that I was so heavy handed with this coat. ?♂️ I’ve now got to wait a week for the lacquer to really go off before I can start the shave, rub down and buff. ? On the plus side the lacquer has mad the pot look a lot darker, it’s still not as dark as OEM but I’m sure only a few would notice the difference when fitted. ?- Project UK rewind
Thanks mate. I’ve still got to put the lacquer on and I’m excited to see it fitted, should look really good with the newly plated nuts and bolts. ??- Project UK rewind
Colour went on today. Overall I’m very happy, the paint laid down very well, my only issue is that the colour is a little lighter than the OEM colour in my opinion.- Project UK rewind
A little bit but it’s too cold to spray outside and I had a reasonable vent path. - UK Audi forum recommendations
