Rather than clutter up Howard's thread, just wondering where everyone is coming from? Not sure there are too many, if any coming from Somerset, I have a friend and her father wanting to bring their Z down who are based in Kent. I know Andrew, Gary and Howard meet up somewhere near Croydon; are you guys doing that again this year? Any details would be great to pass on. If anyone is coming from Somerset (Wells, Yeovil, Glastonbury etc) and want to drive down from Podimore services, let me know.

So as part of my engine rebuild I started to work on the valves and after giving them a good clean I noticed that a lot of them are very badly pitted . My thought are rather than replace the few than need done i'd just get the whole lot replaced. The below set on concept is what I was planning to get but wondered if any extra work was needed to the block they fit into. Looking for people’s thoughts on the following, and real world exeperinces. My new set of Equip wheels are currently finished in silver anodise. With 2 of the wheels needing a refresh, and two needing two new lips for the rears to fill the arches, I can either have them all anodised again, which will give me a relative easy time when it comes to cleaning and maintaining them. Alternatively have them highly polished and stock up on wheel wax and elbow grease!

Hi all, I have a mirror folding button on my zed and when I press it only the drivers side folds in meaning I have to fold the passenger by hand...however when I press the button to open them out they BOTH open and not just the drivers like you might expect...is this normal?

Hi Does anyone know where i can get a Drivers side Window Glass from, Mine is scratched from perished Rubber trim and needs replacing, standard glass required as it is obscuring Vision now, either local to Fareham Hampshire or mail order if possible. Thanks simon

Hi All, My Zed has decided to start cutting out randomly at while in Neutral or Park. Also when I select drive, the revs dip and occasionally it cuts out. So i decided to let it tick over and roughly every 30 seconds or so, the revs climb slightly then go a little erratic and then the engine stops. Has anyone seen this before? Cheers all. hi guys just had my windscreen washer pump fail, so i looked on courtesy nissan and got the part number 28920-30P10 which is for 4 seater front, however i asked nissan genuine who have advised me it's part number 28920-30P15 which lists as a rear washer pump for something else and is £20 cheaper, do the U.S. cars have headlamp wash? my car is a jdm so guessing nissan genuine have got it right using my chassis number but if anyone knows for sure please do let me know. got to wait 6 weeks to get it from japan anyway.

Changed my front brake pads yesterday and now my Z idle is very high. I did clean around the bottom if the engine and remember hitting the wire in the picture below.It had tape wrapped around it so removed it and there is one yellow wire. What is this for?

My spoiler was damaged and I have removed the spoiler only to find there is a large open slot, I have seen the cars without spoilers and imagined it would just be metal when the spoiler was removed. I was shocked to find this opening. I am not sure what to do now, wondered if anyone can help. Thanks

Well I have lost number 3 cylinder....... Pulled coil connector and no change on 3 only...... I am going to test the coil pack and injector in a while..... Out with the multimeter again........ Bloody typical, just reinsured her again..........

Hi all, 1990 UK TT here. I'm aware these beasts have their headlight gremlins, but I think this may be a unique case. I'm borderline just rewiring all the lights myself and having manual switches cut into the dash. The headlights have never worked right since I got the car, and I've cleaned connections up by the headlights themselves. So this is what happens when I change the lights settings (might need to click 'download image' after clicking the link to make it appear right): Are the fuses in the engine bay labeled as LH = LH of engine bay, or LH = nearside/passenger side? The days of the petrol engine are closing faster than ever. Our time is not up just yet, but things are changing quickly. Has anyone any thoughts on the suitability of a 300ZX (shell) as the basis for turning into a well performing EV. Technology is moving so fast and it would be great to see some classic cars that would otherwise go to scrap born again into EV's with performance to match. I know that some really old classics have been changed over to electric and there are companies like electric classic cars but I dont think these are that useable every day.
