I’m just looking for a bit of advice on how to remove the standard UK gas struts. I can’t see any retaking clips and I’m worried I’m going to break something if I push them any harder. Cheers, Chris.

Well I brought my first 300zx n/a at start of this year, didn't really now rust areas but I liked the colour grey. So here begins I new it needed work after putting it on axle stands the horror showed its self and to be honest it should of never passed an MOT which was a new Mot in Jan 2018 (this was sold to me with MOT). all arb bushes were shot front discs well below wear limit the master cylinder had been leaking for a very long time so refurbished with new seals and de-rusted servo and painted. body wise where the subframe bracket meets cill rust was covered in gum poked hole in with finger. Undid front wing omg rotten. Must of spent a thousand on it already puttin…

This has been covered before but I can’t find the thread, I am looking for details of the stock 300zx in various guises eg SWB NA Slkck top manual, LWB NA Manual, to get an idea of the differences. Just as they came “claimed” as stock? Can anyone point me in the right direction please? I’m specifically interested in the differences of a NA slicktop manual and a stock TT LWB Manual.

Hopefully looking at making some changes to my Zed before I put it back on the road in spring. I'm looking at rebuilding as much of the underside as I have time for over the winter, including undersealing but mainly looking at swapping out the suspension and possibly adjustable arms and the like. Does anyone have any suggestions on available stuff, there seems to be a fair few options on Concept Z or are people preferring stock arms? Any "well if you're taking that out you might as well do..." to be aware of? (I'm sticking with HICAS). Current setup is KYB AGX/Eibach fitted by a previous owner. Its had a bushing kit a few years ago before I purchased it (c…

Just to make people aware I will be putting my Slicktop NA manual up for sale very soon! with most of the bits I bought for it that I spent an absolute fortune on. I want to move on to something else now after terrible experience I've had recently with trusting someone... I've lost all interest in it now! I'm super busy at the moment but I should have some free time in the next couple of days so I will try to list as much as I can which is quite a bit of stuff I will be selling that I got from CZP Arizona.

After seeing the centre caps that I painted to a similar colour to my newly acquired SE37s Bobgenie asked me if I would re colour a pair of SE37s for his car. Challenge accepted. We both new before I started that it is impossible to 100% create the look of anodized aluminium with paint. With that in mind I made a start. Someone else had already painted them ...but it was way too dark.. I flatted them back and masked off the inner faces. I already had a paint process that worked so I just repeated it..... The final tone adjustment comes from misting on a very light coat of the "Rays Racing Bronze" aerosol supplied by Wheelpaints.co.uk. Once I was…

First off like to bid say a big thank you to Josh at gorilla imports for sorting me out with this awesome looking spec S twin turbo. He's even going the extra mile to drop the vehicle off at Jimmy's at power Z to give it the once over before the keys are handed over to me to ensure everything is good! Turbos reconditioned cambelt changed in 2017 all this will be checked at power Z for peace of mind. this is what a club import should be doing to ensure customer satisfaction and not just trying to cash in for a quick Buck like Gazwoz did to me! The Z Should be landed in August. I'm really excited now my only regret is I didn't ask Josh first time around. with…

Evening guys. I’ve got a squeal on the belts, even tight, probably worn out or oil contamination. Where’s the best place to source? I’ve got an underdrive bottom pulley but standard pulleys on the others.

Just replaced the stem seals and went to fire up the car after being built back up and seems to be firing when the inlet valve is open? (won't start, backfires and seen fireballs out throttle body) I stripped down the front end and redid the timing belt, had my old man who is also an engineer to check I wasn't doing something stupid and both agreed it was right (also turned engine over both ways and set back to original position and all marks lined up again) Tried to fire up before putting all back together but issue is still there. Only other thing I can think of is if I mixed up injector or coilpack wiring which seems unlikely as they are all different lengths so …

I just wanted to say an enormous thank you to Jimmer. As a newcomer to Z32 ownership, Jim has guided me through everything, serviced my car when I found it and significantly and gradually improved it over the last 18 months. He has been absolutely brilliant. Sadly my work mileage is going to have to go up and it is unrealistic and unfair to expect the Zed to cope. As such it needs to find a new owner - https://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?189441-Nissan-300ZX-Twin-Turbo-Manual&p=1978140#post1978140 I have one last trip to do in her. Swansea to London on business and to take newbie Deegan out so he can fulfil a life long dream. The old g…

Hi guys I been wondering if it’s possible to adjust the rear pipes of an exhaust? I’ve currently got, what appears to be, a very well made, nice sounding full custom exhaust. The only issue is I really want a quad exhaust. Has anyone made adjustments to their pipes, where did you go and where you happy with the results? Cheers, Chris.

Hi guys I thought I would share my experience I have had recently with asking someone from the club to import a z32 for me.... I would have come on sooner but to tell you the truth I've not been really happy lately. building my hopes up with something that was promised to be great but turned out to be a complete utter hunk of shit to look at putting it bluntly. Also the experience I had with the garage that he uses for the jobs is unbelievable. I had to get them to stop all the work on it, and not to touch anything else and get someone straight over to collect the vehicle and trailer it away to someone that actually knows what they're doing. There's a few g…

The current amount of available information at your finger tips these days about potential purchase cars must drive some garages / traders nuts, so much so that its the norm to see plates blanked out in pictures of a the selling garage temp fit they garage name over to hide the registration plate. However sometimes they miss it on a photo or show service history paper work a little too close and the reg can be seen, and is often a reason behind it, I am talking general, all cars, but as an example this 300zx here > https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1992-J-NISSAN-300-ZX-3-0-TARGA-TURBO-2D-280-BHP/173321776318?hash=item285ac86cbe:g:49AAAOSwc~NbOYVz been on Eb…

I'm swapping my car soon and I need to situate my p/s lines but don't have any bolts to use to test what size they are. Whatever size the bolt thread is, I'll be getting the proper an fitting that goes with my setup to the pump. Does anyone know what size bolt the power steering rack lines take? When brand new 99-spec rear lights cost £300 delivered. When I bought this, I picked it up from a dealer whilst I was in California (brand new OEM gear shifter), I paid, with discount the sum total of 50 bucks, this was at a time when the US to Pound ratio was 2:1, so essentially, this cost me £25. They're over £120 now I believe, that's an increase of 480%.
