Time to renew my insurance and try and get a valuation on my zed. Now I know eventually I will need to get this properly done by a garage but they are asking now for a figure and then detailed pictures. By knowing what I've spent its up about £25k or more but what's other people opinions on it. Last year during the build process it was agreed at 10k but I think its double that now easily.

I was driving the other day my 300ZX. I have a 370Z also and I always notice how weak are the brakes on my ZX. What options do I have if I want to put a bigger and better brake on my car? I have 17 wheels on my car.

I have owned the car for nearly 16 years and have decided its time for a new respray. I was considering going back to the original pearl white but with a fresh new twist but cant seem to get the right pearl white combination i want. https://photos.google.com/photo/AF1QipPMDMS4viDqbf7ZJiqwXh0mQedoE-E1KHHB1O02 Also im considering midnight purple pearl, i would spray the wheel centres matte black and leave the polished rim in this case - pic 2 https://photos.google.com/photo/AF1QipMgnM89tuuDPlFSXBFeBhNoN9dWv1INkMhRYXwd https://photos.google.com/photo/AF1QipNQfhOjWiWSean978bIplRo0ubQaK0QkPfvMVwu https://photos.google.com/photo/AF1QipPL1ED6GEXablXYOirUIu9ltyah3VxX…

Looks like one of my heater matrix hoses has started to let go. I can't seem to locate the part number on nissan4u and the part code on CZP is for a twin pack (both hoses included) which doesn't appear on allcarpartsfast. They look almost the same from images I've seen, but sometimes that can be deceiving, so just want to double check before I press the button. https://conceptzperformance.com/nissan-infiniti-nissan-oem-heater-core-coolant-hose-set-nissan-300zx-z32-92400-30pkt_p_959.php

Hi all, Just got my beast MOT'd, 3 year project at an end, just got a question about the normal operating temperature though. Where about does the needle sit on your dials? (if that is accurate enough). One observation I had, temperature is about midway all the time, but then I turned it off for 2 minutes, started it back up again and the temperature was about 3/4 of the way up, not sure if there's a circulation issue with the sensor sitting with an idle part of coolant or? Any thoughts welcome! Cheers Colin 1990 Z32 UK spec auto TT

Currently sat outside a sports hall in the dark, so any help would be greatly appreciated. The car was working and driving fine. Pulled up and got out. Car wouldn't lock/arm with the fob. So just locked with the key. Anyway, now I've come out, the fob still ain't working and the immobilized is on. So I can't start. There's normally an led on in the car, and that's not on or flashing at all so I'm guessing it's a wiring issue. Anyone know how to bypass an immobilized or have any idea where it might be wired to if it uses a fuse? Many thanks, Lee

Hi! Just after some quick advice or recommendations. I picked up a second car so I can keep the mileage and winter damage off the zed, when the time comes to wrap up for the winter I'm just wanting to know what is best practice. It will be getting kept on a drive way and I'll be purchasing some kind of waterproof cover and disconnecting the battery. Is there anything else I should be doing? Also prior to this I'm wanting to take her somewhere for an annual service, I think Jimmer is a bit far from me to be going down for a service so wondering if there are any recommended places up north? And what should be maintained during the annual service? Thanks guys :)

Took the car today to a MOT test place that I hadn't used before and passed with flying colours. Before I went I swapped out the HID bulbs for the standard Halogen bulbs just in case. After the test I spoke to the examiner about fitting aftermarket HIDs to the car and he explained that if they were of the bulb and invertor type plugged into the projector he would not have passed the car. How he would know if the HIDs were aftermarket and not factory fitted I didn't ask and he didn't tell me. I did ask about fitting '99 spec OEM HIDs and he told me that since they were manufactured by Nissan for the Z32 and I could show that and the bulb and projector…

Thought I'd start a separate thread about this particular ECU as it really interested me. The ECU is the Link G4+ and its a direct plug in replacement for the standard zed ECU. General retail price I have been quoted is £910 plus vat which matches up with what I see on ebay. I managed to get a glance of one of these ECU's today as it was getting fitted to a Skyline which apparently uses the same connections as the zed. This is a MAP device so when hooked up properly you can disconnect the standard MAF. Options available that was recommended to me but i'm unsure about is to replace the standard O2 sensors and install new wideband Sensors …

Never done it before, and am reluctant to do so in case it becomes a horrible fiddly job that you get stuck half way through. I have seen a few vids on youtube and there seems so many bolts, clips and lines to remove, so should I leave this job to an experienced hand? Main reason for removal? 1) Have 1 bad injector which I see as a real ballache to remove as the 2 screws that hold it in place have probably been there for 20+ years that will probably end up with stripped heads and without the plenum removed will be impossible to get to! So who's been in the same boat when facing the above? and what would you recommend?

https://www.copart.co.uk/lot/43154028 Shame to see another one off the road. Been over a year since one shpwed up on copart and that one was exported. Clearly not the best example but it is nice to see insurance valued it at £6000. Even insurance agrees our cars are going up

Hello Looking at buying a Z, but as i odnt know much about them I thought I would ask questions about things I dont understand before i go and look at it. I know rust is a massive issue, and just about all the ones iv seen have some form of rust or another on them, but another recurring theme seems to be the rear steering not working. Firstly, am i right in assuming that the rear steering is the HICAS system? I've just seen a Z for sale, but on previous MOT's its been noted that the rear steering does not work (although the rear wheels are held in a substantially straight line and this not affect steering). Its also been noted on another MOT of the sam…

My car has developed a bit of an annoying issue lately... It starts no problem most of the time but occasionally, I'll put the fob in the immobiliser, then go to start the car. At which point it's completely dead. The key also gets stuck in the ignition barrel. I can the leave it for a while and it'll fire up no problem, but I've lost all my radio stations and the clock has reset. Any ideas, I'm thinking an earthing issue somewhere but everything appears OK.
