The video below is a heart breaker to any petrol head, why the government thought this was a good idea is anyones guess, but years after the scrappage scheme ended now the storage costs of the cars must of out weighed the benefit to the new car sales. and yes some 300zx in there too !!

I think there’s a bug going around regarding enthusiasm and the Z’s. I’ve been push and pushing to get my project off the ground and collecting spares as and when I can but right now I have no motivation to get in with it or make the time for it. Whether it’s because I’m getting overworked and exhausted at work due to staff shortages and too much to do. Joys of being an engineer I guess. I’m torn between stepping away from the car for a few months and then going back to it to see if I can reignite the passion. Or completely selling everything I have. Which I am sure will make a few of you rather happy given what I’ve collected in the last year or so. …

I'm sure we've all been through it, I have in the past, but only vaguely. Despite spending a fortune on my Z and putting many hours into making it as good as I can, I've been slowly falling out of love with it. I mean I do still love the Z32 as a car, I still think it's an awesome machine from a really interesting era of automotive development, but feel the passion of ownership slowly ebbing away and there's seemingly nothing that I can do to reinvigorate that. I've always said I'd never sell it, but the more time slips away, the more I am contemplating it. I've been toying with the idea of an Aston Martin V8 Vantage or something completely at the other end of the sp…

A number of you have asked for a photo showing the result of using Frost's Ali Clean - Aluminium Castings Cleaner. The product is great at cleaning aluminium castings such as plenums and I've used it on a number of occasions with excellent results. https://www.frost.co.uk/frost-ali-clean-alloy-aluminium-castings-cleaner.html

Hi guys, I am new here and originally living in France. I am searching for a TT engine for my 1990 300ZX, US model as mine seized. I have found that NIPPON AUTO SPARES proposed some lately and are able to import from JAPAN with a 3month guarantee. Anybody has some experience with these imported engines? Rgds. JulloSK PS: I own also a Strosek 300ZX US model with automatic gearbox who is driving well.

Not sure if we have a detailing thread but I will start this one so if you have any thoughts on different waxes or any cleaning products then post it here and dont forget the pics. Naviwax is the wax I used today and it gets a 9 out of 10 from me. Very easy to put on and easy to take it off. You put it on in long strips instead of small circles and the results are very shiny. https://nubawax.com/products/naviwax-ultimate-carnauba-wax

Hi guys. So what’s really letting the exterior of my car down now (apart from the colour I hear some of you say) is the various trim and rubbers around the glass. I’ve been able to find most of them but need a hand finding others. There seems to be a lot of difference between prices from supplier to supplier so I’d like to see option rather than got straight to Nissan. I’ll also use this post to ask for help fitting the pieces as they arrive. The first piece I’m struggling to find is the rear quarter glass upper edge trim. Do you know where I can order it from? Cheers, Chris I’ve attached a photo so you can see the bit I mean.

This thread is aimed specifically at the GB participants who are having seats retrimmed by me, but it could also apply to anyone who just wants to freshen things up a little. I've done a couple of Z32s this year so far and one had brand new seat foam from Interior Innovations, whilst the other one didn't. With the best will in the world, most of these seats are over 20 years and probably with a fair few miles on them... that means the foam will be way past its best! My recommendation, therefore, is this: anyone having seats trimmed by me should strongly consider purchasing new foams beforehand. To that end, I'd like to gather interest on a possible GB for the In…
