Hi All, I’ve just found my leak I posted the other day and now moved on to removal of the original spoiler as I fancy something a bit more tasty. So I’ve got the old spoiler off which was a bit of a faff, but managed to get it off clean and the metal is all solid thankfully as I was worried that the spoiler was like a wet sponge for 20 years. Now I have it off I’m faced with a few holes and a large recess I’m not sure what to do with. Can anyone point me in the right direction to smooth off the lip at the edge of the boot and fill the hole with say a centre brake lamp or some kind of facia I can buy. I did buy an original spoiler off of Ash, but he’s gone…

Right guys D Day is coming Blown engine is out forged engine is going in The engine is capable of about 550BHP so I'm thinking 500 is sensible. While its out a new clutch would be a good idea. The car will be 99% road with the odd speed run any suggestions for a sensible road clutch that I don't need 2 feet to use? Cheers

So I've been hunting high and low for a '93+ drivers door for my '95 car which is at Jimmer's pending a respray. I finally found one in Scotland of all places on Gumtree at a breakers. "Yes it's from a +94" "Yes it's completely rust free" the guy tells me. £80 +£50 shipping. Seems a bit steep but no choice so do the deal. I find out yesterday from Jimmer that it is a '89-'92(optimistic at best that it's a '92) and very rusty indeed !!! So it's completely useless for me ! WHY THE F cant people be honest ??? He MUST have known it would be completely obvious that it was NOT what he told me it was !! Rant over - sorry !

Hi All, I’m getting through an alarming amount of coolant. The drip is constant while hot and coming from the centre of the car. There is a small pipe that is not connected to anything that is dripping. A couple of people have said it’s for the ac condenser. But I’m not so sure now as I’m losing so much water and this pipe seems to be the culprit. Does anyone know what this pipe is? Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

So I want people's opinions on what oil i should put in my TT Z. I put oil in it 2 years ago and its only done a couple hundred miles, but im installing an oil pressure sensor so oil needs draining and refilling. In the past ive always gone with 5w-40 or 10w-40 of whatever is at the local petrol station but I'd like to be a bit more prepared this time. I've read through oilman's post about viscosity and synth, but still not sure specific. oilman says synthetic because it gives superior protection than semi, but nissan/Jeff have recommended semi. Saw in an earlier thread that the auto box runs the car at 70mph at 2600rpm. My car is away at the moment so I can't check but happy to accept that. So the question is can I make the car any more long-legged ? I was out in my wife's 118d BMW and at 70mph the engine is almost just ticking over and as such I'm guessing is therefore more economical ? Can you change ratios in an auto ? Alternatively, provided the mating plate can be fabricated and the input shaft matches, are there other gearboxes available ? Guys, Looking for some help with wheel widths and offsets please, from you gurus out there. My current set up is as follows: Fronts - 9J x 18 et +24 (235/45 IIRC) Rears - 10J x 18 et -31 (295/35) I am considering some Work Equip wheels, they are: 9x18 et+22 8x18 et +22 The fronts seem easy I can use the 9x18 Works on the front with just a small difference to what I have now. The rears are way off. I am happy to run up to 12 on the rears, in theory is it just as simple as buying new outer barrels for the 8x18,giving me a decent dish. Hi guys I'm having a bit of an issue with the zed and wondering if anybody can offer any insight. I have been driving the last few weeks without any issue, however I come to leave work today and can't get her to start. Turn the key and all the electrics come on, turn it further to start and can feel/hear the starter kicking in but no life. Try again and same thing happens. I get out the car and can smell fuel, I'm not sure if this is indication of a leak or just the unignited fuel in the engine. Since ownership iv not checked the spark plugs, but the car was serviced before purchase. Anything else I could look out for or check?

Since the blue car is now finished, and I haven't been massively active here, I thought I'd post some photos. I know some have followed my billion photos on Facebook, but some aren't there, and won't see notifications etc as I haven't been posting on the various 300 pages. Being doing bits and pieces over the last year or so to get the car back on the road and to a decent point. It's by no means perfect, but I think it's come on very well. Just wanting people's thoughts on whether it's worth while. On both standard and modified cars. I know you lose some top end speed, but I doubt I'll ever be trying to travel at 190 or whatever the top speed is

The blue fat booty car is pretty much finished, but i have a couple of screws that are needed and im hoping someone can confirm the right ones. I have screws lying all over but I want to use the right ones if possible. The first is a bracket/trim piece on the series 1 door card. Has 3 screws. The other is the cover at the back of the wing mirrors. Could be a push type screw. Photos would be awesome if anyone can help.

Hi All, I have a correct set of UK spec OEM alloys that I have just had completely refurbished and was wondering what size tyres to fit?? What make tyres came from the factory?? I have searched but can't find any info on this and I am currently 6000 miles away from my car trying to organise tyre fitment this week!! Thanks in advance. Cheers Ryan

I went under my car yesterday and noticed some oil accumulating on the transmission about half way up by the drain/fill plugs. The leak seems to be spraying either side of the transmission tunnel and the transmission but I don't see any on the turbos or nearby. Looks to have been this way for a while. Any suggestions?
