Are there any differences between a Jap import and UK cat section? I know the Jap has heat sensor (not used) and AVI pipe. What about the UK? I imagine they are the same but was wondering if there is anything as ive approached a cat provider and they said there might be. Cheers

Bit bored since lockdown so thought I would Che co2 my drains. I found front pipe just hanging there allowing water into front footwell. I also could not see or find the rubber connector for the pipe! So I took indicator unit off and could see the hole where the rubber pie e should have been. I cut the pipe about 4 inches from top connector and this allowed me to pull excess through so I could poke it out the hole and I drilled a hole in plastic wing cover and push pipe through, now I next got some normal hosepipe and connected both loose ends with some sealant. Water now goes out near front wheel. Easy way for me to check. Not perfect but it works! …

So with the good weather I got another job cracked in the Zed or should o say parts to be fitted. Picked up an excellent dash some time ago and planned to install the 3 gauge mount in the centre for AEM widebands and coolant gauges and then something a little different by flocking the dash. Here are the mid results on the flocking progress. The gauge pod has been mounted and sealed in to make it more of a seamless fit. I’ll follow this up by doing the dash cowl and A pillar trims. Colour is Anthracite and the DIY kit was produced by Floc-King. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Has anyone got one of these that I could purchase as the main agents are closed and they are crap anyway and I have looked on eBay but can't find any for sale. If your not sure of the part I'm on about its the round plate that fits on top of the valve spring and hold the collets in place Thanks Richard

Hi all, finally got the car from under its cover ready for another summer and Noticed that the interior has been showing signs of mould....bummer. So anyway I have totally stripped the interior for cleaning and a revamp and poured a little water into the drain holes to make sure they were doing their jobs ok. Passenger was fine but the drivers leaked into the footwell behind the fuse box. I know that this has been covered a billion times but I cannot find the fix anywhere. Any helped would be greatly appreciated. pS missed you lot!,, STEVE.

So.... After not being on the forum for sometime now I thought I would start her back up again. While I have been gone me and the zed have had so many ups and downs. As some of you will remember before this was the case back then aswell. I'm back with a fully forged engine, 740cc injectors to go in and a link g4 ECU to join it aswell but with this Corona virus... It has to wait. I'm glad to be back to be honest. The YouTube page is still going strong but I forgot how nice this community is

Hi all, I have been around for a few yrs now lol but have lost a lot of contacts ref exhaust options. What i thought was a gasket blow has ended up a hole on the passenger side exhaust by the cat area. I know i could do a cat delete but my turbos have never been renewed and i don't want to go from an exhaust to a full engine lift replacing turbo seals. So my questions are where could i get replacements or if the worst comes to the worst.....where is the best place to get de-cats. I already have stainless from cat back. I suppose they haven't done bad considering they have never been changed. Thanks

  20. Hello first off it is great to see so many gorgeous Z's on this site. Truly has inspired me to go the extra mile on my build and hope many of you give advice and guidance to help me along the way. The first build is a 93 usdm 300zedx non turbo. I am seeking help with the following: 1. Instrument cluster, aside from changing the bulbs to led, where can I find really neat gauges and how to change those? 2. The front h3 fog lights I would love to use an HID kit of some sort, any advice on how to go about this? Thank you kindly in advance Thasey

Hi, can anyone recall what the cheaper alternative part is for replacement of the slave? A new Z32 one is about £100 but pattern part ones for other Nissans are about £25. Pretty sure S14 ones fit.

Hi all Anyone seen the latest Modern Classics? There is a great feature on 1990s GT cars - pitting the likes of the Jag XKR, BMW 840, Merc CL500 - along with some lesser cars, like the Corrado VR6, Pug 406 Coop, Fiat Coop and Subaru SVX...… Oh and one certainly no lesser, the mighty 300zx..... The verdict - "The Nissan 300zx is the most engaging driver's car here. It's not quite as refined as some of the others, but its prowess more than makes up for it, and it's still a comfortable place to be....."! As they wrote, when eliminating all the others save for the Jag XKR. Second place, compared to a Jag XKR - which was designed and built a few years after the…

  24. Started by andyb,

Got the Z out last weekend after it's winter hibernation and it fires up fine and drives ok under light to moderate load. However, when asking for more power it judders and runs rough, seemingly misfires and does not boost. I do tend to let it turn over and drive up the road every now and then on dry days in winter to avoid it being stood completely for several months. I have been very lucky with the car as I have owned it 17 years and had only one major failure, ECU. My first thought was the turbos but there is no smoking or obvious leak from what I can see. Seems more like a misfire related issue. Looking for a bit of a 'checklist' to run through some obvious …

Due to my extreme bad luck in engines recently i've kind of been ignoring the zed as i don't want to feel any worse than i do by thinking about it to much but that being said the cover has been off and parts lying about that there was a layer cake of dust and other contaminants that could have spoiled the overall paintwork. So today with the help of my wifes car we hauled her out of the garage for a reassembly and thorough clean. Afer a scale and polish she makes my proud again to say i own her - minus an engine for now.
