i know you guys dealt with this many times, but im really desperate, spend weeks trying to work it out... so, error code 34 knock sensor problem... my ecu shows 0.568ohm knock sensor shows 0.580ohm so i would assume i need new knock sensor but i bought two (so i have 3 all together, mine old one and two new ones) bought both not from ebay, from proper shops, one for 85£ another for 160£ and both shows freaking 0.560-0580ohm put 1meg ohm resistor like it say in here http://www.zhome.com/ZCMnL/PICS/detonationSensor/detonationSensor.html same code 34 so that is it? thank you Z32 TT 1991 ATM

So I am going to upgrade my suspension (shocks, arms, bushes), I've done some research and found that the TEIN VSN22-C1SS3 FLEX Z seem pretty good and are just in budget. Does anyone have any experience of them? I did look at the street advance Z (cheaper), but they are missing the top hat bit (you reuse the OEM one) and I would rather have all new components and I dont have the tools to be releasing springs off shocks. I've been looking at Driftworks adjustable arms (https://www.driftworks.com/suspension/adjustable-arms/?car_make=nissan&car_model=300zx-z32) and have compiled a list of components using this blog: https://conceptzperformance.com/blog/suspension-10…

This is a bit of an odd one. Last year I has a misfire on one of the cylinders. After pulling the offending coil pack off, testing the voltage and resistance across parts in that area and checking the spark plug everything looked good. I replaced the spark plug, as I couldn’t find an issue, screwed everything back together and all was fine. That was it for the year and the issue didn’t reoccur. The other day, when I pulled the car out for it’s MOT, there was another misfire on a different cylinder. This time I thought that I’d just pull the coil pack and pop it back in. Bingo, it cured the misfire. Today I pulled the car out and the misfire was back but on …

so following on from my front under tray issue, I've bitten the bullet and bought the Ali kit from z1, so while I'm waiting for that to be delivered I thought I would crack on and remove the old front tray, anyhow on the rear mountings in the radiator support the middle one was already snapped off, passenger side was missing and drivers side snapped when I tried to tighten it slightly to try and dislodge any rust before trying to loosen it, so is my only option now to try and drill out the offending bolts?

Any ideas why the ABS warning light would be on and how to test for possible issues. The cars been in the air for 9 months with the battery disconnected and there wasn’t an issue before it went up. To the best of my knowledge I haven’t touched anything to do with the brakes and the car passed its MOT yesterday (the light may have been on yesterday as you can hardly see the warning light in the bright sun). The fluid level is spot on and the ABS fuse in the engine bay is fine. The car also drives fine and brakes well although I obviously haven’t hit them hard enough for the ABS to need to kick in. Thanks, Chris.

So i want to clean my block properly as i want to be 100% sure that there is no contamination inside. What i know and wont do is the obvious method you see all over youtube with people using a jetty and hosing it down. Trying to do this DIY as much as possible for the moment. Below is a quick video of the block, i'd like to strip off all the silver paint and degrease the full thing. Whats the best solution without the chances of using the block by using water. As you can see the crank is turning nice and smooth at the moment and i really dont want to upset that.

hi guys hope you are all keeping well during this pandemic, (I will renew as soon as I start working again, being a full time dj at the moment sucks) anyway onto my problem, my front engine splash guard/ under tray has pretty much had it, it's gone brittle and split at the back by the radiator support, anyway don't seem to be any new ones around, so my question is, would the car be ok without it? and are there any available alternatives to them? I've seen the ally ones in the U.S.A but shipping is horrendous.

Hi, I know this subject has been covered numerous times but from everything I have found via the search has not solved my problem, car is a 92 NA and has a aftermarket actuator in the drivers door, when I operate the remote the drivers door locks but the passenger door does not. From what I have read there is a actuator on the drivers door lock that operates the passenger door lock when the key is turned either to lock or unlock, the aftermarket actuator performs the same action as the key and locks and unlocks the Drivers door fine. I have the bottom of the drivers side dash off, the kick panel off and the door card removed, If I have understood previous posts …

Soooo, on Saturday I decided to revisit my "alleged" groaning ABS pump - as per previous thread..... I have a spare pump, but before taking the plunge and swapping them out, I performed a few more tests - as the ECU diagnostic didn't reveal any faults. I swapped the relays - but the noise still persisted; I took the Zed out for many test-runs, Julia patiently sat in the back right seat, listening for where the noise may be coming from. We both concluded that it was probably from the pump - I had removed the plastic cover in the boot, just to be sure the groaning noise could be heard to the fullest. And then, I hit upon another idea - I removed the relays al…

Well new to me. Updated my original jap speakers to a more modern set from RichardS (thanks Richard) Door panel off and speakers changed over but of course I had to clean the inside of the door and the door air vents. Drivers door had been opened before for the installation of the remote locking and I had replaced the glass location roller thing. The passengers door panel was never of before and the plastic never opened. Any way here are the pics.

Just refurbished my wiper arms in satin black, now re-fitting the arms I would really appreciate if someone could post an image shows where the original rest position is. At the moment they are sitting right on the beginning of the black part of the lower part of the windscreen, but for some reason doesn't seem right?? A few images much appreciated:)

Spent ages today trying to work out why my washer jets were not working, started by filling the engine bay reservoir, still nothing just the motor buzzing..... Stripped out the N/S/F wheel arch liner, water bottle seemed ok, pipe at bottom nice and tight.... Then found another reservoir in the boot area... filled it up... still nothing but motor buzzing sound.... Then put air line on front washers, air pressure forced out apparent blockages.... front washer jets now working Also can someone confirm is the front reservoir for the rear wiper, and the rear reservoir is for the front wipers??
