Hi guys new here just got a twin turbo 300zx Jap import, automatic. On a g registration 1990 I believe. It ran like a lawn mower misfiring so I currently have the intake apart ect I’m looking at putting new oem injectors in just wondered if anyone knew of a set or am I better upgrading them ? If so what’s involved ect. Also while the intake plenum is out am I better deleting the egr and coolant lines as many do ? Any help and advice while I’m there is greatly welcome and appreciated. Note: I’m renewing the valve and cam cover gaskets while there [emoji4] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Back again to ask you guys for a bit more help. Got my Zed back today with a new mot but seems to have a bad stuttering issue when it reaches 2500rpm in all gears, the revs also hunt a bit too on idle and this seems to happen when both cold and up to temp. Cars a manual UK TT. Any advice would be appreciated

Japanese Performance Car Club NI got together with PhoenixFilm to put together a video of the Japanese car scene in Northern Ireland/Ireland. This took place on Sunday so we are all waiting to see the final cut of the film. Here are some teasers to keep you going. Watch this space. ?

Right, I’ve got a late spec NA long block split and ready for a clean and rebuild sat here. I was keeping it for myself to rebuild as a fully forged TT as it’s a perfect candidate, but it’s not going to happen any time soon and to be honest I want to free up the space so I’m going to sell it. I will start a proper listing with pictures etc but I wanted to gauge interest on the format of its sale, ie either to sell as a long block or short block and heads separated etc. What’s here; A late spec VG30DE short block, this has the NA oil squirters you’d want for forged pistons and is set up to hold the turbo oil lines etc. The bores are clean with the OEM honing still…

Ive been through the manual download section, found that I need three cables to replace, cant seem to find the part numbers though, could any one help? The hand brakes on both of mine are terrible and definatly want to sort them out. When I google hand brake cables, everywhere seems to be out of stock. Also on one of the cars, it only seems to work (barely) on one side. Is that the cable or would I need to replace the drum shoes?

  9. Was out driving the other day an while driving snapped the crank bolt. That happening also damaged the pulley braking a piece off at the key way slot. I'm having a heck of a time finding either one. Any suggestions.... thanks for your input Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

So many sale posts recently, that i presume everyone wants in on the 400Z when it is launched, and needs to save purchase/import fees to get the "first in UK" kudos? ? I had given thought to trying to sell my lot, simply because i have no room or time to do anything with them at the moment, but looks like this max exodus and saturation will have a bit of an impact and might as well go to welding/painting night school instead ? Seems sad to think that so many great members are selling up though.

Now i live away all week im struggling to progress. I was wondering if anyone had any pointers. Im going to start with the usual coilpacks resistance and go from there. One thing i did though was move the PTU from the engine bay. Wonder if thats got anything to do with things. Its been ok for months though. Cheers all Or i might just get it to Jimmer LOL

  17. Started by Jeff,

My Zed continues to languish untouched and unloved, which is not what I want and not good for the car. It was running a couple of years ago, but now is in need of revitalising. If anyone's interested, drop me an email or call me up. I'm near J11/M25, Chertsey in Surrey - the car's in Egham, in a garage. Don't have any photos but will get some over the weekend. It's auto, pearl white paint and nice black/blue velour seats and is all there. Lots of spares, doors, roof panels, exhaust boxes, bonnet, engine bits. Talk to me

  19. Started by TheRealNips,

my socket has never worked since I have had the car and thought I would see why... The tang on the actual socket has been snapped off and there is this mess underneath: (Please see photo) I am guessing one of these is the 12v feed for the socket, another is a feed for heated seats or mirrors or something and the blue circle seems to be a blade plug of some sort that shorts on the hand brake and blows the headlight fuse (hence I wrapped it in tape!) Any ideas on how to sort this out?

  22. Started by Tochigi,

Does anybody have, or know of an aftermarket brake kit that will fit behind the standard 16's on the front without wheel spacers? The reason I'm asking this is that I'm prepping my Z to go back on the road after sitting unused in a garage for about 5 years. It currently has 18's with worn out tyres all around and a D2 big brake kit on the front. I'm not very keen on paying for new tyres on wheels I intend to remove as I want to return the car to stock for a long term project. The current brakes will stop me from doing that and the original disks and calipers are long gone. The obvious answer would be to just re-buy standard calipers and disks again, but the…

  24. Started by Sparkysparks,

Evening. If I am removing the clutch booster and all the pipework can I route this pipe from the balance bar through the valve to the servo? Then remove all the rest and blank off the blue x in the plenum? Is there any other pipework to this stuff or electrical connection I need to watch out for? And finally I'm doing all of this to remove as much old pipework as I can to minimise leaks. But is it even worth it. Does the clutch feel much different? I've not driven it in so long I won't even know the difference if it does now. Thanks

'Evening all. It's certainly been a difficult year for most of us, there's no denying that.... And whilst all the big shows have been cancelled - or held with a much reduced capacity - the NEC Classic Car Show is (for now) set to go ahead. https://www.necclassicmotorshow.com/ We have provisionally been given a stand with room for three cars - so who is up for it this year? As always, it's a pretty big commitment - you have to be able to leave your car there from set-up on the Thursday morning until take down, later Sunday evening. And preferably be on hand to man the stand (albeit possibly in shifts with fellow exhibitors) from Friday morning until Sun…
