My Zed continues to languish untouched and unloved, which is not what I want and not good for the car. It was running a couple of years ago, but now is in need of revitalising. If anyone's interested, drop me an email or call me up. I'm near J11/M25, Chertsey in Surrey - the car's in Egham, in a garage. Don't have any photos but will get some over the weekend. It's auto, pearl white paint and nice black/blue velour seats and is all there. Lots of spares, doors, roof panels, exhaust boxes, bonnet, engine bits. Talk to me

my socket has never worked since I have had the car and thought I would see why... The tang on the actual socket has been snapped off and there is this mess underneath: (Please see photo) I am guessing one of these is the 12v feed for the socket, another is a feed for heated seats or mirrors or something and the blue circle seems to be a blade plug of some sort that shorts on the hand brake and blows the headlight fuse (hence I wrapped it in tape!) Any ideas on how to sort this out?

Does anybody have, or know of an aftermarket brake kit that will fit behind the standard 16's on the front without wheel spacers? The reason I'm asking this is that I'm prepping my Z to go back on the road after sitting unused in a garage for about 5 years. It currently has 18's with worn out tyres all around and a D2 big brake kit on the front. I'm not very keen on paying for new tyres on wheels I intend to remove as I want to return the car to stock for a long term project. The current brakes will stop me from doing that and the original disks and calipers are long gone. The obvious answer would be to just re-buy standard calipers and disks again, but the…

Evening. If I am removing the clutch booster and all the pipework can I route this pipe from the balance bar through the valve to the servo? Then remove all the rest and blank off the blue x in the plenum? Is there any other pipework to this stuff or electrical connection I need to watch out for? And finally I'm doing all of this to remove as much old pipework as I can to minimise leaks. But is it even worth it. Does the clutch feel much different? I've not driven it in so long I won't even know the difference if it does now. Thanks

'Evening all. It's certainly been a difficult year for most of us, there's no denying that.... And whilst all the big shows have been cancelled - or held with a much reduced capacity - the NEC Classic Car Show is (for now) set to go ahead. https://www.necclassicmotorshow.com/ We have provisionally been given a stand with room for three cars - so who is up for it this year? As always, it's a pretty big commitment - you have to be able to leave your car there from set-up on the Thursday morning until take down, later Sunday evening. And preferably be on hand to man the stand (albeit possibly in shifts with fellow exhibitors) from Friday morning until Sun…

Discovered today that the ignition barrel on the Zed is goosed. Key can be removed at any position etc. CZP sell a JDM one, but states for Manual only. My car is an ex auto, converted to a manual a number of years ago. I don't know how the conversion is done, so wondering if the manual lock barrel would work?

hi guys just a quick one, my car is currently running a stage one map which when jimmer pulled it up on consult he said dosen't look like a uk map because of quite a few red areas on there (I have no idea) but I believe it was remapped in Japan before it came over. anyhow ever since I have had the car I get popping from the exhaust when I'm on over run, which I guess is unburnt fuel entering the exhaust. would changing to a more uk friendly map get rid of this? it currently sounds like the local boy racers fiesta with a baked bean can exhaust. I have also noticed a vast improvement in acceleration after fitting newer style injectors on the car. my current set up 370…

So then. After a 380 mile round trip with a car transporter (which inconveniently blew its turbo 200 miles from home) I finally made it back home with todays purchase. Just about everyone knows this car, even the Rozzers in Lithuania probably know it. So I'll not do much waffling about the cars history. Other than to say it's a 99 spec NA and I envisage some pain in my future. Now where to start.... Well it'll have to be with rust. So first on my list is to get the interior trim out and see what is to be seen. And then see if I can get a boroscope into the sills and see how bad they are. Other things to investigate/sort (if anyone has anything to check f…

So my pump is dieing, it works when it feels like it which is a bit annoying. Ive been looking online for a new pump. Ebay only has a couple of 2nd hand TT versions. Mine is a NA so the pump is different I believe, it doesnt have the extra connections for the HICAS pump. I found this: https://www.buycarparts.co.uk/ridex/8100193?gshp=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjw-O35BRDVARIsAJU5mQUYKFrFhV_cHhTVprhii57D6tnUgapJz6HGPXwR3M6ml8KuzxNTdjQaApUNEALw_wcB It looks right, but the website says it wouldnt fit my car. Does anyone know where I can get a new pump? I would prefer new or refurbed, however ill take a breaker part if no choice.

The first public sale of a 1989 Nissan 300ZX Turbo IMSA GTO car. Morning all. Just had my Nauruan W renewal quote from performance direct and I’m looking to increase the agreed value from 12k to 16k. The response they have submitted is the following to be able to achieve this. This wouldn’t be an agreed value at the moment, to get an agreed value you will need to fill in the form, send over pictures of the car and get someone that specialise in classic car or an owners club to value the car. Once you have sent all of the relevant details to us, we will pass them over to the insurance company and if they agree with the value then there will be an agreed value on the car. Therefore are we as a club in a position yet to verify ag…

I know it's a "how long is a piece of string" question, but I'm wondering if anyone who has had the work done recently has a ball park figure on the cost of inner and outer sill replacement (rear end). The car I'm considering defo has rust on the outer, so I will assume there's a chunk of the inner needs work too. I can cut and prep myself, but my mig welding ability isn't up to welding in new parts. Any price indicators greatly appreciated.

Hiya folks. Yeah, so it's been a while. I'm the standard "should never have sold the car" ex owner. But then I say that about most the cars I've had. Anyway. Does anyone know anything about this car: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/184379531034 I've messaged the seller about it, but heard nothing back. I think it might be one that Gazwoz imported 2 or 3 years ago? But without a reg number to check it's history I'm no sure. Thanks. Lexx

I have a '94 Nissan 300ZX convertible with a stainless stail exhaust, I want to replace it by an original again. The thing is, I can get one from a 2+2, but my convertible is a two seater, is it possible to use the exhaust? (maybe cut out a small section out of it to make it shorter?)
