So I have this stupid aftermarket alarm/immobiliser system on my Z, had it when I bought it I attempted to start car after sitting for a bit and primed the ignition with the button on the fob as usual, lights came on dash as normal and car failed to start due to low battery, so I removed battery and charged up in house put battery back on and went to start car, turned key and pressed button on fob to "prime" ignition, usually you wait about 5 seconds and all the dash lights up and start car, however now nothing happens so I presume something has triggered the alarm to immobilise the ignition this has never happened before in my history of ownership (since 2…

For some months, the drophead kept the rain out. Then it started to leak and this ended up worse than my old MG Midget. After some research, I found Sonax GummiPflege (Rubber Care), cleaned and treated all the rubber seals. Great improvement. And the wind noise reduced (something reported by other convertible owners). The RH side is back to dry - however there is still a slight leak when windy/wet on the LH side which appears to be coming from one of the meeting points (arrowed). I have re-treated the rubber in that area and await the next downpour. When driving, there is still more wind noise from the left than the right (which sounds as normal as any Z). It's alway…

Following one of my wheels getting popped, I decided to change all 4 tyres as the car seemed to go sideway/wheelspid car too easily which gave me a little lack if confidence. Did have Yokohama tyres but they were on the old side. Anyway, changed the tyres, and it still spins up too easy. Just after people thoughts, do you think i should look to change the suspension and possibly drop it down a little? At the minute the car has some yellow Koni struts. I do have some coilovers somewhere I could put on.

Hi all. I am collecting my 92’ Z next weekend. It’s currently wearing a kit that is...well not to my taste ? I would like to put it back to stock panels and was wondering if anyone had any pictures of what a 1992 import 2+2 LWB naturally aspirated Z looked like (I don’t trust google nor can I find anything concrete). any pics attached would be much appreciated ?? thank you.

Hi All, picking up a 300zx after approx 15years without one. So firstly, I can’t wait to get back behind The wheel again. it’s a clean car structurally and the engine sounds in good condition. Although after a 2nd test drive (first drive I found the MAF hose was loose and a Vac pipe was off the drivers side intake pipe) it ran, idled and revved, however, it sometime stuttered at 2.5k rpm and almost felt like a ‘limp’ mode situation? I plan to drive it the 50miles or so home, but should be fine on the motorway as after 2.5k it’s alright. Any advice on the matter would be appreciated? car is a 92 LWB na auto ? thank you Aron.

My zed has been parked up a while. The central locking is working, at least I hear it, but the drivers door won't unlock. I've tried to unlock manually from the inside but that isn't releasing the door lock either. Anyone with an idea how I'm going to sort this? Already sprayed in wd40 to no avail.

Hi All My TT manual zed doesnt have a rear boot spoiler. I know someone could have removed it, but also wonder if it could have been a delete option at the factory? The spoiler is the model that does not have the brake light in it - the brake light is in the top of the boot lid. I would have thought that the turbo models would have had a boot spoiler for the aerodynamics? Does anyone know if this is the case. Also I will need to source a rear boot spoiler if anyone has one for sale. Many thanks.

Hi Guys, Had a lot of misfiring in my 1990 TT and narrowed it down to a couple of injectors gone bad, so I replaced them all with series 2 and redid the connectors. Seemed to run better but still 1 cylinder was missing. Narrowed it down to number 5 by pulling coil connector and number 5 didn't change the engine note. Checked injector and seems to be firing, checked the coil pack resistance and all good. The coil pack connectors are new and spliced in. On this particular coil pack, no 5, with the connector removed and ignition on I get 12v on middle pin and 10-20 mv on the outside pin, but on all the others I get 12v from centre pin and exactly .5 mv on the oute…

Hi when welding the bottom corner rear were bumper bolts to also rear arch by petrol cap do uses remove petrol tank as I was going to sheld it with a piece of pry wood an wrap a wet cloth around petrol filler neck thanks

Hi all after spending ££££ on my Z, I hear they are expanding the ULEZ zone in October 2021. This will then cover where I live, so I am thinking of options which aren’t many seeing I only want to drive my 300. i assume all major towns will follow or have already.

Many of you will have seen the many updates on Facebook etc, but I thought it's about time I posted up here a proper update on the black Z. Following the knock it had, I put everything back together but made the choice to buy a new shell as it felt like the all round best, and safest option. The welding the old one needed meant the engine would have had to come out etc anyway, Plus the rest of the car underneath was generally a bit poor. So I bought a low mileage car which many will know as NED the ZED. Note the name Hasn't stayed!!! The car only has like 54k miles on it. Rust free etc so felt like a great buy. Was a little gutted it's a Series 1 car, but …

Hello Anyone heard of a broken camshaft on vg30dett? Mine is running on only 5 cylinders after a big bang. The engine was blokked a short time. Checked compression and it looks not so bad. Not bad noises now. Before i take the valve covers i will ask here. Thx a lot.

My ABS light is on constantly, ran through the diagnostics in the service manual and it seems fine except the power to the control unit. With the ignition on, pin 1 should get battery voltage, but I'm only getting about 6V. I measured the battery voltage as 12.5V. Anyone got any ideas what could cause that?
