Hi all. I am looking to change the wheels on my '94 Jap import. I believe fittings may be different for Jap import. Please could I ask for advice on sizes, fittings I need in order to get some. Would love to fit some 18" dished 5 spoke I've seen on line. Ad says they fit 300zx but not sure if that includes Import models. Thanks in advance.

A titanium key that is. Full set of locks complete with titanium key. Also have another grand worth of new parts to fit including door seals with a few other goodies. A new pair of keys to be cut too so I'll be back up to a rare 3 key zed.

Hi guys I’ve seen a few power steering pots looking like new. Is draining the power steering fluid relatively simple? How have you got the new finish? Is there much to worry about when it comes to refilling the system? Same sort of questions for the HICA unit. Obviously it’s not painted, how would I go about getting this removed and refurbished? After selling my 300 five years ago to fund a Jaguar XKR , I'm back in the club and back in a shorty TT targa. The jag, as beautiful as she is just didn't cut the mustard as a drivers car. After removing the air ducts from my car, in preparation for a good clean, I was left thinking that I must have missed something as they looked really ineffective. I took a look at the drawing of the system and it really does look pointless. Does the air ducting really just “draw air in” from the top of the front quarter panel? If I’m using a cone filter is there any point in retaining the ducting? Cheers, Chris.

Hi guys I thought that while I’m busy cleaning up the front of my car I’d have a look at reinstalling the headlight washers. Personally I love the look of them. Has anyone got a drawing of how they are installed and a list of parts I will need? The only clue that I think where my plumbing should start is a blocked hose coming off the washer tank. Good evening all, With my insurance renewal looming I thought I'd do the usual rounds of phone calls and price comparison sites. However, given my past experience of insurance companies and market values, I'm keen to insure with a more bespoke company with an agreed valuation. Question is, how do I calculate how much my car is worth? Now I have an idea of what it would cost to replace the car, however if anyone else can shed some light on how they determined the value of their zed then I'd the input. Thanks

With all the poor quality master brake cylinders out there today ..... does anyone have any data, or experience, with some of the better top quality master brake cylinder manufacturers (Bendix, Wagner, ACDelco, Centrix, Cardone, Raybestos, etc.)? I have been looking, for quite a while, for a replacement master brake cylinder for my 1990 2+2 300ZX (Non-Turbo). Since Nabco Nissan no longer manufactures a OE master brake cylinder (which I would purchase in a heart-beat), I have been on a quest to find the absolute best quality replacement master cylinder .... one that will last many tears without breaking down. I have heard horror stories from far too many …

Just a bit of advice please. I'm after changing all the brake pipes round the Z.. Does anyone know how much a garage should charge to renew them. Thanks in advance for any help Lou

Hi Guys, I might have an issue so just after some pointers really, I seem to have an intermittent issue with the power steering. Some mornings it won't kick in for the first couple of minutes of driving and the last week or so I've noticed a slight whine on wheel turn. This afternoon I checked the level which was a little on the low side so topped it up and gave it a little drive around the carpark, the whine was still there but the steering felt fine. Are there any common issues with the power steering? Or anybody have any ideas what could be causing this? Thanks for the help again!

Morning all, I don't suppose anyone knows (or has 2 spare) the spec of these radio fixing screws? (And why do people keep bodging their stereo installs when it's got a mount for the units and if you take the mount out properly, there's a lot more room to work?)

Hi All Took Zed for MOT today Garage Phoned me last thing this afternoon with the bad news it Failed !!! broke the news gently.... 1: Fog lamp out. 2: Needs welding (Lots i think) 3: Will not pass any of the Emissions tests (all readings in Red) !! The welding i will be having a discussion about when i go to see her on ramp in Morning, but the big thing they cannot sort out is the emissions they have tried Everything but cant see why it is failing all, any suggestions welcome. I have had this car 11 years or so and do not want to scrap her if it can be helped, she still runs and pulls great and is pretty standard (1995 Pearl white) and how do you value it…

I thought I’d document this as I have a funny feeling this little project my spiral into something a little more interesting than a tidy up. The initial plan is to remove what can relatively easily be removed to clean it, powder coat it or zinc plat it. There absolutely nothing that NEEDS to be replaced as the car is/was working fine before I started this job. However in the interest of doing things as well as I can I’ll be replacing some minor bits and bobs. Anyway here’s the car on the stands with the bumper removed awaiting its first job...
