Some of you may know I am on the hunt this winter for new wheels, I have found the ones I want but have some questions, for the rears I am looking at 18x11 with a 20mm offset, does anyone else have this on rear? Thanks, Dan

My Z has some sort of Piranna alarm on it for at least six years now, it has a single button fob which locks/unlocks the doors and arms/disarms the alarm. Just recently the button will only arm/disarm the alarm and not work the door locks. I can manually do it with the key which will lock/unlock both doors. Sometimes it will work and sometimes it wont some something is playing up... Any ideas? Thanks Dan

Right the electrical geniuses i have a problemo.. Got my zed realised radio, interior lights and few other items you no the score. wasnt working. kept blowing fuses 4X20amp every time i turned the ignition on etc. so stripped out the radio disconnect the clock process of elimination,nowt so build all back together as it was getting dark, stuck 25amp in yep worked then smoked then blew the fuse. it smoked from the passenger side. stuck a 20 back in radio clock now works But the headlight are now on hi Beam, no dipped light, side light, tail lights, folding mirrors dont work and the heated mirror lamp is on permanent, i have checked all the fuses and relays t…

Noticed my rear screen had molten metal marks in the glass forgot to cover it when we welded the holes up what the spoiler left behind . Don't suppose I can get these out how much is a rear screen for these haven't got it insured at the moment as it's of road doesn't matter if is a uk screen it has dark tint film on .which I know I will need to replace thanks Taff

Hey guys its been a long time coming but im hoping to get the engine in this weekend, not really a problem however.. when i pulled the engine, im sure i seperated the engine from the box and pulled them seperatly. ive been thinking about it and obviously its nicer if i can fix the box up to the engine and bolt it all up nice without bashing too many knuckles etc and swearing at the clutch spline with 70kg of box on my chest so three options box and engine seperate box and engine in through the top box and engine bolted to front subframe on trolly then drop shell over as per factory anyone got any real world experience, ive pulled two engi…

Is there a difference between manual and automatic ECU' s? I have removed my auto ecu and wandered if it is compatible with my manual car. I would of thought that engine management would be the same as there is the separate Auto box ecu. If they are different, what functions are? Thanks in advance, Tony.

Was just wondering what peoples views on this are. i've got welding to do so to tack a plate in place and ditch the rear wiper and motor isnt really an issue. i know there's a weight loss to it, and obviously the smooth look. so what does every body else think?

Can anybody tell me how you remove the ignition barrel from the steering column please. Thought it was going to be a 5 minute job until I saw the 2 fasteners that clamp it to the coumn???? Thanks in advance. Tony.

Recently it appears a few Zeds have joined the 500bhp club, and apparently with seemingly minor mods. Two questions; how much does it cost to turn a stock zed into a 500hp zed and is a tuned 500hp zed really a contender along side a car with 500hp out of the box in terms of reliability and drivability? If so it's gotta be the cheapest serious performance car on the market when you consider what any standard 500hp car will cost to buy.

Hi First Sorry for my English lol. In the french 300zx Forum , we spoken about rebuid manual gearbox. The parts seems to be the same that Nissan Patrol and we can find its on EBay. stripped off my calipers to get refurbed at bigg reds ,any one used them before ?,do they come back like new? do thay strip all the old paint off I know they will repaint at cost thinking of repainting myself what do you think get them to paint or spray myself

Well after nearly eighteen months of being laid up & repairing the bent suspension arms etc, I finally got her off the axle stands on all 4 wheels & she started on the second attempt no probs. All seemed fine no smoke & she was purring like a kitten, however, after about 5 mins of being on tickover I noticed smoke from drivers side exhaust and quite a lot of it. Gently revved the engine to 3K and held it there smoke cleared & was fine again walked away leaving her ticking over, turned round a minute or 2 later & smoke again :-( I might add there was a little white smoke from passenger side but hardly any & not always there. I did change the oil…

A above when I do the body work I'm thinking of getting rid of the standard arial, welding a plate and smoothing over. And body used one of these window mounted ones that go in the rear window? If so any good. I don't want to loose the aria las I lists to the radio quiet a lot so need one... CheerZ Neil

Noticed on the way home last night that the gear change was quiet heavy as in it took some effort to move the gear stick in to each gear. Now my DD is a 2.0 Zafira and the gear change is nice an easy, this is the first manual Zed I've had the last 2 were both Auto's so have nothing to compare it against. Is there a problem or are they just like that???? CheerZ Neil

If I wanted to get one of these done, who would I speak to and how much would it cost. Just looking at a standard rebuild as I don't know the history of the gearbox as it's a conversion that was done by SE a good few years ago. Would like a drop off and pick up service tbh. CBA with taking it out myself then refitting it. But if it saves LOADS then will do it lol CheerZ Neil

not driven my baby for couple of weeks ,came out today battery totally flat no dash board lights nowt put my 10 amp charger on went right over to max still there 3 hours on still there my thoughts are if the battery seems not to accept a charge its knackered rather than a drain on the system ?? last time i was under the bonnet i changed the coil pack brackets would i have disturbed a connector down the back ?? any ideas welcome

Anyone have larger diameter wheels on the back than the front, it's an option am toying with whilst on the hunt for new rims, would love to see some pics... Cheers

with the car being off the road for nearly eighteen months, went to start her up today but the alarm/immobiliser wont arm or disarm. New battery in car & in alarm fob. Led just keeps flashing, when I press the fob the led stops flashing and goes off for few seconds then continues flashing again???.... Dashboard lights up when turning key but obviously because the immobiliser hasn't disarmed I get nothing. Anyone with a Clifford alarm had the same problem or has anyone got any ideas?.....
