This post on TT.net shows the installation of a Nismo Euro Spec Oil Cooler Kit: http://www.twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/general/view/2212694/Nismo-Euro-Spec-Oil-Cooler-Kit-21305-37P00K.html It is the same as installed on my car from the factory (the pictures are clearer than I can take the moment with all the other stuff in the way). This photo shows the power steering cooler taken through the bumper. It is fitted on the mounting bracket you can see in the pictures in the TT.net post. This is the parts diagram for UK/Euro power steering piping (hydraulically actuated Hicas): -Andrew

Its not often i post in here asking for help lol, but sometimes a problem shared and all that. Here goes: car ran fine, then recently started chugging on tickover, which i thought i had pinned down to the temp sensor, the clip was missing and wasnt seated tightly, sorted that issue and all seemed fine. Then this week kept stalling on me and hunting, gave the throttle a blip and stayed up for a while, but tickover was lumpy, power down until past 3k or so revs and eventually pulled well. So i decided to do a process of elimination and some connector checks. All the injector plug terminals had some green corrosion, even though i had used dialectic grease on them p…

Hi all, I have been told before who to see about potential body work jobs, but being new and having a brain like a sieve I can't remember who it was. Can't remember their name or username on here  need a quote from someone for a bumper respray and some sill/quarter panel work. Plus it's my daily car so the less time it's off the road the better :)

Hi All, Coming back home last night I started to get a squeak/thud from the front suspension area. It has stiff Eibach suspension on and that side has taken a few big hits over the years. Anyone know if this suspension uses stock bushes or can I get some upgraded ones instaed and anyone know who stocks them. Cheers in advance. CT

Heya Guys, I notice a few of the regulars still posting so thought I'd put this up for some honest advice. I pretty much live in France now chasing surf and am back for 3 months to finish a long list of left-behind projects. I'm 100% going to shift this 300zx of mine (The White one I used post loads of pics for and as far as I could tell was always in the top 5 power-houses in the UK) -- I don't say this to start a debate!! :) So, I haven't even started my 300zx since JapFest a few years ago, it's sitting in the same garage it was always in. AND There-in lies the Rub - House is no longer mine and the new inhabitant ( Mother-in-Law) is F'ing a…

A couple of months ago, my viscous fan coupling decided to spit out all it's oil, I replaced it with a second hand one (very kindly donated by bruce300). This also has now decided to spray it's oil content all over the surrounding area.... Is there something causing this to happen or is it a pretty common occurrence? What's the best way forward - another viscous fan coupling or go the electric fan road?

In the Zed community where let's face it news travels very fast especially bad news, I have been sitting on this info/pics for about 3 weeks now and I get no pleasure from it but only to inform you all. I was shown these pics and more of this car and it dawned on me that I had seen the car before, not having to look far I found it and it belong to a very high profile active member on here..........Paul C had owned this UK Zed 11 years, sold it earlier this very summer and within weeks.....well see below for yourself - now a Cat B, apparently 'the rear kicked out on a dual carriageway and the driver lost control'. Sorry Paul if you didn't know bud, I guess the fo…

Hi guys, yesterday my car developed strange noise. It sounds something like when you put a small metal ball inside a plastic cup and shake it. I'm not sure if the noise is coming from the top of the engine or the back of engine. My car is an automatic, I can always hear the noise when I put the car in drive, and only sometimes in neutral. Her is a video of the noise (it's dark so you wont see anything but sound is ok.) Normal engine noise is up to 29 sec, then I put the car in drive and you can rattling noise start. Hi All, You may remember my thread a few months ago when I joined the forum (http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?171494-Hi-from-Berkshire!) , when I was looking for a decent TT. This weekend I drove a few hours across to Wales to meet up with Dean (Sir Charles) and pick up a Slicktop that needs no introduction on the forum. The car is a credit to him, and its former owners and I hope to keep it just as fresh and tidy and keep adding to the spec list. Dean is a fantastic bloke, genuine and friendly and I would not hesitate to do business with him again. This is my first 300, but I have previously owned S14a and S12 Nissans, a X308 XJR…

My old Zed did not have the HICAS elimination but this one does - it was like that when i bought it. I was just wondering (after watching that 300ZX video that princeking uploaded) why is the HICAS eliminated seeing as it looks so clever in the promotional vid. Nissan must have gone to all the effort of fitting it for a reason one would think. Then we take it off again? Rich

Dont know if its a common fault or maybe im missing a bit of trim , but as the heavens have opened , when opening the boot fully water falls down side of the bootlid and right into the rear speakers... not ideal, I now obviously dont open the boot fully to avoid this but telling the misses this seems in vein as it just goes over her head. Is this a common problem and is there something i could cover the speakers with the avoid this, or is it just a case or never fully opening the boot? Thanks in advance Alex

Have done a few tech posts concerning recircs leaking via the diaphram internally giving poor boost issues etc. well this tech concerns a spin on that, whilst looking for the cause if a boost issue in a zed in the work shop the normal boost leak test showed a very large leak at the front under the afm. Luckily the zed in question had an induction kit fitted so was much easier to see what was going on. Initial thoughts were one of the pipe cuffs to the recirc was the issue as I could feel the air escaping in that air with my hand wrapped around it and inflating the inlet pipework. However once I had better access I could see the cuffs were ok but the metal vacuum in…

Is the main engine loom the same on the auto and manual cars. The reason I ask is because there is part of the loom inside which goes to a connector block, which I guess probably heads back to the key ignition switch. I am just asking because I am reshelling from an auto converted to a manual to a manual? Thanks gents!!!!
