Hey, does anyone have any suggestions to how I separate the thrust bearing carrier, from the thrust bearing? Do I need a garage to press it out / in? Also, lubrication wise, I was going to use a high temperature lithium grease? - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CARLUBE-LM2-MULTI-PURPOSE-GREASE-500g-TUB-LITHIUM-BASED-HIGH-MELTING-POINT-/320998109632?pt=UK_Vehicle_Oils_Lubricants_Fluids&hash=item4abcfa71c0

Is it the rain or is just the day? What fuse directly controls the dash lights? I thought it was the "accessories" fuse that was in the b"gger of a place to get to - behind the drivers fuse panel. Dash lights not working again. Replaced that blue fuse again, checked all visible fuses - all fine. Just still no dash lights. Any ideas anyone? A short somewhere? Battery is good and all pod functions work. Its stumped me! GT

I really want one, but I don't want to pay a fortune for one shipped from the US, and I don't want to change any of my locks or ignition barrel, Any Idea of any in the UK? there's some really nice silvia ones on ebay with a nice key ring. but no 300 ones. I know Z1 do them but would be a bit pricy to get it shipped after taxes etc are applied? don't suppose Si would be able to pick me one up when he's over the states? :whistling: http://www.z1motorsports.com/product_info.php?products_id=5236

  6. Aimed at the older members here but interesting to all. I own an almost new pair of purpose made 3 hole fitment decat pipes that overcome the age old problem of fitting Auto zeds without knocking the drivers side in with a hammer to fit and clear the bottom pan. The quality of the construction is the best out there and fit 100% perfect on the turbo elbos right back to the front of the catback including the OEM hangers from the bottom of gearbox. These pipes are special in the respect that they retain the turbo elbo,s not like the divorced type that needs you to fit down pipes from the turbo housing, they fit turbo and none turbo, manual and auto. They were supplied by an old…

Hello guys found myself in a spot of bother, when i brought my zed it only had one key (not an original) so i went online and got myself two new blank keys and went to the local hardware store to get then cut, at this point the guy told me that the keys didn't mach and couldn't be cut. i went of home thinking i had brought the wrong key but from looking at photos online it looks like i have a copy of the valet key. dose anyone know if a valet key can be cut to normal key? thanks in advance :D

Does anyone know of this car - the guy says he is a member on here but not particularly active. Friend of mine very interested in it but it is too far to go just to look at it http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/300zx-FULLY-CUSTOMISED-500bhp-AWESOME-power-UNIQUE-car-kit-car-/231077836989?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item35cd4ff8bd

  12. This is a general warning for those in the south of England, looks like we might get hit with gale force winds up to 80mph, might be an idea if you park your zed out side, to leave it well away from tree's or area's likely to flood, we have a high precipitation chance for Sunday night / Monday. Id hate to see a post of someones car being crushed by an up routed tree, 80mph winds are strong enough to cause that, especially mixed with heavy rain that would saturate the ground leaving it in prime condition for a tree to be up routed.

Hi everyone, After putting my larger wheels on (18") the wheel alignment shop said that its caster was out on the front. They said perhaps it has had a shunt or crash! .. which it has definitely not. Could bigger wheels affect the caster? Also to correct the caster do I need to get some adjustable tension rods? The issue is that the car pulls to the left at the moment Kind regards, William.

This is probably one for Funkysi or anyone else who regularly goes to the US. Having a SWB means exhausts are bloody hard to come by. I could go get a custom job, but it's always a risk as to what kind of sound you end up with. YouTube vids don't really offer much help as the cameras used are crap and the folks using them don't have a clue. So, for those that have heard SWB na's with aftermarket exhausts (Labree/ AMS/Borla etc) which one sounded best in your opinion ? I can't afford a B&B exhaust so don't recommend them! lol. and I prefer the double twins look.

Not a thread for moaning about the cost of fuel before anyone takes it off topic. Just wondering what sort of mpg people get from there zeds. I worked mine out as an average of 16.45mpg purely round town type driving. thats with venom555 injectors fitted and boost only being used around the 7psi range(read from avcr). So how does others compare? would be good to see if its running efficiently or badly compared to others.

Is it only Z1 that do this kit? (Link below) I have been looking and searching for a while and cannot find anyone else who manufactures this product. Can anyone enlighten me to a supplier (in black)......... Cheers, Alz. http://www.z1motorsports.com/product_info.php?cPath=6_541&products_id=2845

  20. I'm sure I saw somewhere on here a while back a conversion on the bonnet using the tailgate struts ? Or did I dream this up?! As the bonnet is so much lighter than the tailgate one ought to do the trick I would think. Anyone done this? Also anyone done a single wiper conversion? I hate the after thought look of the wipers on the Z. As I never drive it in the wet I could just throw them away

  21. Well having put up my brake light flasher thread yesterday to mixed reaction but mostly a  to which I totally agree, I set to work and finished my newest creation and I challenge you not to like !!! I have lit up reverse panels for a while now but this takes it to a new level. When 'off' the red 300ZX on mine is redder than the genuine one and mine even lights up, you can surely not get better than that :cool3:. So here is the video of it against a genuine one - can you tell the difference ? And because the video camera doesn't seem to pick up the redness very well I took a pic so view that lower down. Recently did a basic chip analysis for someone which highlights the issues of running unknown chips in UK Zeds. The comparative map is 41P13 JDM Auto upon which the modified map is based on. Fuelling & Timing Differences: Fuelling is pulled in a very basic manner. One thing that the tune does have going for it is the fact the final load column is actually increased to compensate for the additonal air flow (load) caused by increasing the boost levels. Unlike the JWT chips. Timing is advanced in an equally simplistic way. Typically +4° advanced at high load & +5 or +6° advanced in the transitional region (coming onto boost where knock is m…
