I have just purchased some front and rear leather seats that were originally from a UK spec 300zx, I have an import, and there are differences that make it a bit difficult to fit/use. Firstly, my original JDM seats have the seat belt clip connected to the seat, the UK spec ones dont (is it as simple as transferring them over?) The passenger UK seat has electric movement, my JDM ones didnt , so the connected appears to be a 3 - pronged connected on the UK seat whereas the male side from the car only has 2 prongs? This is also the same problem with the drivers Any help will be very appreciated Alex

As stated in the title, I did about a 150 mile run today , and (what I assume) is the cat temp light was intermitenley on / off. I did notice that when i got home the armrest was a tad warm which i guess would be just above it. What could be the cause of this? and what could be fixed to sort this out. On other note, i dont know if this is linked or not but performance was very rubbish between about 2.3k - 3k rpm. it seemed to really struggle in 5th in this rev range. Is that linked? or could that be down to the MAF needing to be replaced? Hope someone can shed some light Alex

I made an error a while back putting my tubs onto my manifolds before putting them onto the block not realising you can't access a bolt underneath. The pressed steel gasket between manifold-turbo and turbo-elbow has been squashed so do I need to replace them or can I reuse them. The mounting faces were all very clean before clamping them previously

These look unusual, I haven't seen these before.. are they really rare like the guy says or is it just I haven't noticed any before? I have Ganador mirrors on mine which I really like, and are also pretty scarce I believe, but somone may be interested in these I guess... auction ends tomorrow afternoon http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Jdm-Bomex-Electric-Aero-Mirrors-300ZX-Fairlady-Z32-SUPER-RARE-/331052752892?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4d14481ffc Rich

Opened the lip today bud, all is well. Didn't realise how much flex it actually has, It really is a good quality bit of kit. However it won't be getting fitted for a while now due to other problems, but I can't wait till it's finished. Big thanks again though Mike for sorting it all out.

Happy 1st of the month to every one. :) Ive been looking through suspension upgrades and TBH i am unclear as to what i NEED over want i can put on... i could quiet easily spend £1400 and change everything... i.e Traction Rods Tension Rods Camber Arms Hicas Eliminator Toe Rods Front upper Camber Front and rear adjustable lower arms But my question is this.. as a road going car.. whats worth changing and whats not... not point spending the money if it not going to give me and the way i drive the car any benefit at all. Now Hicas eliminator is def something i would do. so any advise please, that would be great. Thanks …

Hi guys, anyone know anything about adjusting the front windows so they close tighter against the targa rubber at the top? I'm sure I read you can adjust them, but can't find it. Thanks

After going to a mates scrapyard for some wheels for a 323, i got talking about my zed and he said his son had one a while ago that he broke up for parts, but he has another one he doesnt want to break, but doesnt have time for any more, so i said let me talk to him and see if i cant buy it off him. 10 mins later i bought it, a black UK J reg Auto TT with scorpian exhaust, solid sills, alloy wheels, 103,000miles, engine sounds sweet. Got horrible Fiat back lights which will come off, needs a bit of TLC, but perfect for my winter project, aside from the one im driving, project  Cant believe i found one so local to me and soooooo cheap  Didnt h…

I have Stack A pillar water temp gauge which the previous owner fit and it used the sender on the water pipe, the same one as the stock clocks gauge takes it feed from. The clocks needle sits just a smidging above halfway - perfect I am happy with that. But on the Stack gauge it was up at 205f when fully warm which is 96 celsius - clearly incorrect and I do know down to calibration !!! Not to mention too far along in it's range as I like the needle to sit somewhere in the middle of it's travel. So I experimented and found by fitting a resistor in line it dropped the gauge to 170f which equates to 77c, I don't have a conzult to test but my guess is this isn't too …

I bought a cheap £1.70 module from the far east and I've fit it inline, only takes 30 mins all in to do, just wanted to show you all, not sure if I'll keep or not but with it being only a slit of a light I don't think it's too in your face. I do know you can buy the ones that go solid after a few seconds but this one just keeps flashing and flashing and flashing. FYI....I replaced the 4 x clear stock filament bulbs that are in there with red 5 smd T10 ones a while back :cool3:. [video=youtube_share;mKZOCwVhsaw]

After a drive last night it may of taken a beating and after starting it back up I noticed it sounded a little louder at the front, so popped the bonnet and tried blipping the throttle and it sounds like it's blowing from under the battery somewhere. I'm assuming this would be the manifold? guessing the gaskets blown out, a bolts snapped or its cracked. Or could it be on the turbo side? Either way anybody had anything similar happen? How much of a challenge is this going to be? I really don't want to take the engine out. Also it's still apparently spitting flames of about 2ft, one side bigger than the other, I'm putting that down to over fuelling but I'm assuming if …

Hello fellow ZedHeads. Came across a 300zx for sale on gumtree (or scumtree as some would call it), ad claims it's 1998 but don't they have the later style bumper. Also mileage of 38000, can this be taken seriously considering the age, origin and price. Opinions, worth a look? http://www.gumtree.com/p/cars-vans-motorbikes/nissan-fairlady-300zx-twin-turbo-manual/1036546953
