After 3 months trying to fix an ECU failure-code 13, having thought it was a Temp. Sensor issue, I've now been informed that it's 90% likely to be a failed Power Transistor Unit. Does anyone have one for sale? Preferably the later model... Thanx, Drew

OK a question for the techy gurus out there. I want to know what I do next to get some more power. Here is what I have done so far. Sport 500 Turbos, 555 injectors and a JWT ECU mapped to match the new turbos and injectors. When the supplied boost jets were fitted the engine ran very badly so were removed and the engine is seemingly now running at 14.5psi. It has been suggested that the best thing to do is to have a boost controller fitted to do the work of the boost jets that JWT supplied. Is this correct or what course of action would be better? ------------------ John Newcomb www.geocities.com/jn300zxtt

Just read an article in EVO magazine about the Lotus 340R. The radiator failed just out of warranty - £220 for a replacement but to fit it the whole body has to come off. £750 labour! The dealer said the biggest joke is replacing the battery - £60 for the battery and the same £750 labour to swap it!! LOL There's also the company long-term test Ferrari 355 which has cost close to £6K in the last 2 months. My Z is so cheap to run! LOL [This message has been edited by ChrisC (edited 08-04-2002).]

After some research I think I have found the problem to my uneven tyre wear. Could old sagging springs, still the original ones I think, cause tyres to wear out one of the wheel. Any ideas on the cost of new ones? Any ideas for upgrades? CheerZ Stuart

Sorry to bore you all twotless but I've never done a bloody bean on my car and now I have started pulling it to bits and upgrading it I cant get enough - blame JethroTT Anyway I thought I'd try 130watt bulbs in the newly done lights - pah! (being a Jap) the solder on the bulb melted in pre race trials after about 10 minutes - so I tried this little trick: wiring the earth strap to the bulb chassis and it seems to be much more a sound way of doing it. I know that 130watters are stupid so I am gonna down them to 85's - has anyone else tried this:?? Seems like a more reliable way of getting the earth to the bulb.. Or should I not give up my day job…

93 twin turbo, no mods. The turbo boost gauge only moves to the 0psi position when foot right down. Does this mean both turbos have packed up? If only one how can I tell which one? Is there any maintenance I can do, or is replacement only option?

I know the evenings are getting longer and the nights are getting shorter but I think we should all take time to remember the inventor of one of the things which might just save our lives sometime. The Cat's Eyes (showing the road ahead in darkness) we know and love http://www.bbc.co.uk/nottingham/spotlight/science_week/fun_facts.shtml were invented by a Nottingham man. Just as well. If the kitty had been facing the other way, he would have invented the pencil sharpener! ------------------
