Hallo all you paintwork gurus - here's a couple for you. The success with repainting my wiper arms (paint has stayed on for two whole weeks now ) has gone to my head and I am now looking at fettling a couple of other bits. This panel between the bonnet and the windscreen is it easier to take off and paint or to mask and paint while on the car. It seems you just have to remove the wipers and undo a few screws but is it really that simple? Secondly, this front spoiler I was going to wave a bit of wet and dry at this then grey primer then Nissan silver from Halfords. But I noticed the surface is textured - do I need a special paint? Will…

WOW! After a few months of just plain bad luck......... my car is finally behaving itself! wah hey!!! I think that the fact the previous owner only drove it once a week for 4 years meant that when i started to use it everyday- a few problems seemed to come out of the woodwork! Dont get me wrong, the cars in really good nick but it has caused me some grief and cost me over 3 grand over 5 months. usual stuff really, you know, studs snapping off the hubs rear main bearing seal going TWICE!!! servicing, tyres, cleaning, loads of other small bits and bobs. For the first time since owning it im really really happy with the way its running- really smooth! …

Hi guys, Before I start, I don't mean for this to turn into a flaming post. Today I finished (almost, have to figure out which wire is for the reversing lights) my auto to manual conversion. What a difference! the car is much, much quicker than before (could be something to do with my shagged auto draining massive amounts of power from the engine..). Pull in third gear is phenominal, had a race with a brand new Subaru WRX STI, and beat him so badly from 60 up that I had to slow down just to make sure he was racing!, previously the same type of car destroyed the Z, beating me by a good 20 car lengths. Roll on summer! Brian

I noticed some nasty oil leakery when I removed my splash guards - thought it could be the dreaded turbo oil feeder pipe or something smelly and $$$ Turns out the pipes for power steering had loosened - quick nip up of them with a 10mm wratchet and no probs They seem to work a little loose in the same way as the petrol pipes over time so next time your bonnet is up get that 10mm socket out and tighten em all up folks. My auto box seems to be playing up recently - when I accelerate it has a bit of lag before the power kicks in. Could it be that the torque convertor is slipping, or that something else is wrong?? Any ideas?? Jay

I was coming down the M1 on Thursday in the middle lane just about to pass a recycling container truck on the insdide lane. Next thing I know some shit flies off the back of the container and hits the front of my car. I pull over, see the damage, then chase after him to pull hum over. I show him the damage and he says sorry, don't worry it will be sorted, so he writes down the name and number of his manager and said just phone him and explain what happened, so I thought no problem I'll do that. I ring the guy and he says he'll have to speak to his driver and assures me I won't be fobbed off. I rang him about 3 times that day and he keeps telling me he can't contact his dr…
