Rite Peeps this is all gettin very old fast. We all like to have a laff and when we meet in the real world generally a fucking good time is had by all! However when behind the keyboard and shit aint goin well people have a tendencies to snap and then all the shit goes down , on here on MSN, over the phone Etc. Now we are all sick of it and no one really wants to walk away or keep this site Tech only as its nice to have a place to come and chat about general shit we are all interested in. So in future can everyone try to - 1) Keep threats of violence to a minimum, If shit starts upsettin you reply via Email or MSN to avoid bringin other people into i…

Hi all, Please bear with me, I'm just trying to work out if some of my auto 300ZX's quirks are problems or simply 'undocumented features'. My Gear change is quite jerky from 1st to 2nd - particularly when cold, the clutch also 'honks' a bit from time to time when under heavy load. There's two yellow dipsticks at the back of the engine - is one transmission and one engine? One (LHS from the front) is completely clean and seems overfilled the other is a bit dirtier and also seems overfilled. I checked by pushing the dip all the way in - is this correct?? Cheers, RobH

Hey guys After having convinced my m8 James to buy a 300zx, the bloody power steering pipe blows up on him! he had the car on full lock and it made a gurggling and then just puked p/s fluid all over the floor. it came over from japan with the spec reading "strange noise from power steering" but when it arrived here it had a rip in the hose going from the back of the pump to the rack. I gave him mine while the engine is out. then yesterday as he was going to park, on full lock, it gurggled and blew up. he had been driving it previously for 2 days. any ideas??? i think it may be a pump but how do i tell?? if it was a pump wouldnt it have blown t…

Come on people, I know i havn't been very active of late BUT I have kept an eye on posts when I could. WHATS ITS ALL ABOUT! Ive noticed less and less people are posting regularly and this stems from childish antics by some members. If we dont all chill out then I can only see more and more members going or Craig and Nico throwing in the towel. WHAT A WASTE! We all like a laugh BUT come on its getting VERY BORING. I will be back with a vengenance next week, so please behave!

It's none of my business (and if anyone agrees with that i won't take it lightly), but what has happened to the lot of you, administrators included??????!!!!! Anyone new coming on to this forum is going to think it's a pisstake or nothing less than world war three. Okay you guys may think its funny slagging each other off 24 hours a day, is it a jealousy thing, but think about the people on the other end having to put up with constant verbal shite..... I can't come to Billing because of various reasons but I really wish I was, that's if any of you actually turn up, what a spectacle and to other forums, what a laughing stock!! Everyday is like playtime at nursery schoo…

Hi, Excuse my lack of mechanical knowledge, I just wondered if anyone had a diagram of where to position a trolley jack/axle stands under a Z. So that I don't knock the tracking out or something? Regards, Mark H

Hi, I have read several posts on AIV's, that say you can drill a hole in the base of the unit, plug the hose, and my mechanic says rip the whole thing out. Which is the best option and why, does anybody really know? Regards, Mark Hanley

Bought a front set of cheapo tyres from Elite just to pass my MOT. After four days one went pop on the M25: Got that replaced and the next morning: Got Kwik Fit to check the valve and tyre for holes or cuts but the tyre checked out. I have now got a set of Richbrook anti-theft valve caps: but has anyone seen any better products as the little grub screw and allen key thing are well flimsy - has anyone got those flush fit valves? Cheers, Trev

I climbed into my z this evening after having a hard day getting roasted by my area manager for spending more time polishing my car than i do working, ready to go home, turn the key to hear a loud click ignition lights go off and the engine doesnt turn. Oh shit here comes a bloody big repair bill i thought. So in true unqualified self appointed AA man style i pop the bonnet and peer in giving random wires a waggle and scratching my head. Then i discover the possitive battery terminal a little loose give it a waggle ignition lights back on!! When i got home i tightened it properly with a spanner and take it for a spin, it now boosts better, changes (auto) smoother and goes…

I admit it - I give up!! OK it's forum technical not car technical - and yes it's a dumb question. NZR = ? My best guess so far is Not Zed Related. I think I worked out from the general forum that ATTN: = A Tiny Titheaded Nobrain? (oops - only when posted by Captured, I should have said) [This message has been edited by Gio (edited 09-04-2002).]

On Channel 5 at 19:00 this evening. Looks like it is a repeat of one on the other night which had an item on a 400bhp Pulsar and shows it dumping on Dodge Viper (!) driven by Vikki Butler-Crumpet. Plus Quentin gets all righteous and indignant about speed cameras - he is your friend after all.
