I'm considering having a km/h to MPH conversion carried out on my car but I'm not convinced that it's technically a good move. I have a couple of doubts about it. 1. I've been advised by one supplier of a speed convertor /de-limiter that they use a 2/3 factor of the speed sensor signal to change the speedo read-out, surely this is a pretty poor approximaion of the correct 5/8 factor. 2. Also, the 2/3 signal is the fed to the ECU for delimiting purposes ( the speed limit data is held in the ECU?),surely this will result in incorrect operation of speed controlled items (Hicas, auto transmission power steering) as the electronics will think the car is travelling 2/3 slow…

my 300zx TT auto is just cutting out on me, when it reaches idle revs, and having major problems restarting...when it runs it has a flat spot, and very low revs (1-2000)..but then seem to pick up through the rev range fine...anyone have an idea on it pls guys?

Hi All, To continue on with Timmys theme on car pictures, my calendar buddie and myself have come up with a potential idea. At this stage we are only interested in finding out how many people would be up for this. Basically, we arrange some sort of car meet where my mate will take photos of your car with a couple of professional (page3 type) models leaning all over the car. We were thinking on the lines of a Bikini/Wet T-shirt style / washing the car sort of thing. The photos will be taken on a digital camera and then sent out to you on CD once they have been sorted and processed. We would be looking to do the photo session in the summer possibly…

Been offered a rear shock by amerkarim to replace my dodgy one, but it for an NA. Is the rear shock for the NA the same as for the TT with all the HICAS business?? Jay ------------------

I borrowed my Dads Kodak digital camera a while back, installed all the software onto my CrapTop, also the Mrs T bought me a minature digital camera for Crimbo so I installed that software also. When I got my Olympus last weekend I removed the other two sets of software, installed the Olympus software but when I click on "My Camera" it trys to connect but complains it can't communicate with me Olympus!!! So I checked in the Digital Camera section of the Control Panel and it is still showing the Kodak congifured. How do I get rid of the previous cameras configs??? It won't give me an option to remove the Kodak! I can download pics from the camera via…

Following on to my last post, what mpg would you expect to get out of a standard Z32 while commuting? No traffic jams and a few roundabouts used as launch pads.... Just trying to figure if I have a sensor/regulator problem, a heavy right foot or a normal thirsty Z ;-) I'm struggling to get 250 miles on a tank full to empty, long motorway runs however can yield 350 miles on a tank... Hopefully the Blitz kit might improve things. All, I am having to wave goodbye to my beloved Zed. Kids and long legs + Zed dont work! Its going to a good home (Michael Shanks from the forum). I hope he enjoys it as much as I have over the last 18 months, Ive had a blast. Every time Ive drove its brought a smile to my face and will be sorely missed.
