NZR - Calling all PC swami's oh and digi cam related aswell!

I borrowed my Dads Kodak digital camera a while back, installed all the software onto my CrapTop, also the Mrs T bought me a minature digital camera for Crimbo so I installed that software also.

When I got my Olympus last weekend I removed the other two sets of software, installed the Olympus software but when I click on "My Camera" it trys to connect but complains it can't communicate with me Olympus!!! mad.gif

So I checked in the Digital Camera section of the Control Panel and it is still showing the Kodak congifured.

How do I get rid of the previous cameras configs??? It won't give me an option to remove the Kodak!

I can download pics from the camera via PSP by connecting the camera, selecting D: Removable Disk then clicking through the directories to where the jpeg pics are.

Failing that, it may not have done a clean uninstall - have you got anything like CleanSweep?

If not, make a copy of the Registry (to be on the safe side!) and then do a search in the original for all references to the Kodak camera therein. Remove same. Re-boot.

right try : control panel ,then add new hardware (put your driver disk in the disk drive ) and when it ask's you to search auto/or specify directory , specify your disk drive and that should do it .

if all elese fails update to windows ME or XP biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Big thanks to whoever suggested going into the My Comp bit and device manager etc. I did that, found that the L'Espion files were there and binned them off. But the Kodak camera config is still there.

Not that bothered since reading my cameras manual properly and talking with ChrisC, seems I can do most through Paint Shop Pro but still miffed that I can't use the Olympus software! mad.gif
