Just had a bit of a scrap with about 8 superbikes down the A30 between the M25 and the Crooked Billit roundabout, i got my arse kicked as i knew i would, but i think my little baby gave them a bit of a shock! I have no idea how fast i was going as i couldn't take my eyes off the road, well over a ton though. I got a couple of nods of approval from them as we pulled up at the lights which was nice. Man i'm still buzzing now! God i love my Zed.

Hallo all, this is a really completeist, pedantic post and a particularly nit-picky question. We have discovered that the DVLA figures about how many 300ZXs are registered in the UK are wrong. Somewhere between the street and your V5, they make big mistakes about what your car is - I suspect many of you have been registered as a Z31. Not having the correct figures is a) irritating and b) doesn't help negotiations with suppliers like insurance people. Me, I am not going to get involved with suppliers - that's for others - but I would like to know how many of us there are. I reckon this forum has a significant fraction of all 300ZXs in the UK which …

My mechanic said that its possible to use the same system as the Skyline does. That is: From 0..60Km or something 4-wheel drive and then from 60...and over 2-wheel drive. I want to know if anyone attempt to do this before. What u think about it?

I have had an HKS induction kit on my Zed for a while now and wonder how you guys rate these. I did read in the tech section a while back about them being troublesome if driving in very rainy condition, making the MAS sensor play up or something. A month or so ago I was doing some motorway driving in such conditions and the car started running like shit. The sponge like filter was drenched. Is this something other intakes suffer from?. What other one do you recommend and what prices (such as Blitz etc )? Cheerz Simon H BTW My HKS filter is now quite grubby, can you clean these things and how?

While I was working at the Ideal Home Exhibition I was talking to a guy who was working on a stand called MER products. They produce all sorts of car cleaning products but there polish is supposed to be unique. The polish can be applied to the car bodywork if it is wet or dry!. They advise to leave it on for about 15 mins then buff it off. The benefit (apart from the shine) is that water just will not collect on the paintwork (much more than normal polish). So much so that in furture washing of the car you don't have to dry it. Sounds bollocks but I watched the demo this guy did and it was quite impressive. I bought a small tub the other day and will give it a go tonight …

However when behind the keyboard and shit aint goin well people have a tendencies to snap and then all the shit goes down , on here on MSN, over the phone Etc. Now we are all sick of it and no one really wants to walk away or keep this site Tech only as its nice to have a place to come and chat about general shit we are all interested in. So in future can everyone try to - 1) Keep threats of violence to a minimum, If shit starts upsettin you reply via Email or MSN to avoid bringin other people into i…

Hi all, Please bear with me, I'm just trying to work out if some of my auto 300ZX's quirks are problems or simply 'undocumented features'. My Gear change is quite jerky from 1st to 2nd - particularly when cold, the clutch also 'honks' a bit from time to time when under heavy load. There's two yellow dipsticks at the back of the engine - is one transmission and one engine? One (LHS from the front) is completely clean and seems overfilled the other is a bit dirtier and also seems overfilled. I checked by pushing the dip all the way in - is this correct?? Cheers, RobH

Hey guys After having convinced my m8 James to buy a 300zx, the bloody power steering pipe blows up on him! he had the car on full lock and it made a gurggling and then just puked p/s fluid all over the floor. it came over from japan with the spec reading "strange noise from power steering" but when it arrived here it had a rip in the hose going from the back of the pump to the rack. I gave him mine while the engine is out. then yesterday as he was going to park, on full lock, it gurggled and blew up. he had been driving it previously for 2 days. any ideas??? i think it may be a pump but how do i tell?? if it was a pump wouldnt it have blown t…

Come on people, I know i havn't been very active of late BUT I have kept an eye on posts when I could. WHATS ITS ALL ABOUT! Ive noticed less and less people are posting regularly and this stems from childish antics by some members. If we dont all chill out then I can only see more and more members going or Craig and Nico throwing in the towel. WHAT A WASTE! We all like a laugh BUT come on its getting VERY BORING. I will be back with a vengenance next week, so please behave!
