Underdrive pulley

What is the benefit of fitting one of these under drive pulleys? Seems a cheap modification but is it for real? Where do I get one from and how much?

hi m8 they say you get about 20 bhp from fitting these i know stillen have got them on their web site i think you also need diffrent belts if you buy the set im sure some of the lads on this forum have them fitted

I have the SE underdrive pully (check my rides section you can just about make it out). I found the differences were more with bottom end pull away driving. Made my Z slightly nippier pulling off onto roundabouts etc. I have found that you get more noise at top end as it doesn't have the harmonic dampener. My rolloing road figures showed 15 BHP increase max.

I am happy with this product but do some searches as i believe some have concernes over engine longevity with underdrive pullies (from any supplier).

£160-£200 pulley and shorter belt. umm not sure whether the risk is worth it, 15bhp against damage to engine.

Thanks Guys.
