Hi Guys, i have sold my BMW and am now in a position to by a Zed, i shall put the obligatory wanted in the classified section but thought i'd start it off with a Thread, So i'm looking for a LWB pref a NA but would consider a turbo, Would prefer Auto but would also consider Manual. I need the car to be a runner with some tax/mot. I've got about £1500 so if you know of anyone or have one yourself, drop me a line. Regards Richard

Hi guys,i just got my car goin again after a few years and noticed that the headlight bulbs and dips are very weak like candles,i was just wondering what bulbs would be good to buy,as dont really want do go down the HID route.Any advise would be great guys.Thanks

We have changed the Cam gears, Cambelt, all cambelt pulleys, Cambelt tensioner and CAS unit. We also have run the car with no auxiliary belts. It does get better when the engine warms up but never clears. Wondering if it is the Oil pump but oil pressure is good. Thanks Dan

Has anyone got a red or black bonnet in half decent nick they are prepared to part with for less than say £40 I need one fairly quickly. I'm all over the place this week do if there's one near where I'm working that's ideal.

a wide body thats been done rearly nice and proper, that would hold its value if mint mind and flawless. and has there ever been some proper ones or are they just bolt on jobbies. i ask because i would like but dont know much about them and what to look for? any pics welcome new and old .or someones you think look nice.

i just got a call from the powder coaters that are powder coating my petrol tank saying that after thay baked the tank and them removed all the bungs there was a melted what look liked plastic in the bottom he said it stunk bad now i removed the plastic box thing that the fuel pump sits in and didnt see any other plastic in there. does anyone know or have pics of a 300zx tank that's been cut open or have any idea what other plastic parts are in there that would have melted ?

Hi guys, just been reading the different threads on this and the wiring and there is some amount of discussion over the past few years on this never mind which way to adjust the timing after its all done. So as my mechanic is about to do this on my na 96 car, do I need to print off loads of threads about reseting the timing, get the ecu from the doner car, or get the manual loom. Pin 44 seems to be an issue as well as its being connect to the neutral on the manual box then the other bit to earth, some haven't so getting a little confused. God help the guy as this is going to be fun getting her to run and idle correctly. any clarification would be great.…

Been reading a few writeups on manual conversion and a few mention changing the alternator wiring loom, can anyone verify this? Not sure why it's needed or if it's really needed or can the existing auto loom be adapted as required. This is my next job on the list.

Ok, got a very strange issue, the other day i gave it a little bit of beans, after coming off the gas, i had a pop out the rear of the exhaust and the car ran like it had just 5 cylinders, i gave it a quick rev and it was back to normal and driving lovely and was all the way up till parking it up last night. This morning id decided to get the laptop out and check error codes to see if there was anything on there, started the engine and the idle is lumpy as hell, i have no smoke coming out of the exhausts, the engine temp is fine, but there is a noticeable shake to the car now, took it for a quick spin to see if it would sort its self, but had to come home as it was …

Three things I am undertaking with the new Z . Looking good set of 18 " alloys to fit a na /zx . Do I got with the front fitment for back also . 5/114 35 ?? .. Also looking polished lip with gold bbs style inside . Been looking at affordable coilovers or is it best to sting to conventional shock spring set up ? Discs and pad s all round . Are these same fitment in the na / Tt etc . As have been asked to measure to confirm from provider ?? . My car is a 91 300zx na 3.0 v6 . Really any help would be really appreciated

Guys i have a question about the timing marks,how many times will i have to rotate the engine by hand(plugs out)to get all 5 marks to line up again,would i be correct in saying 6?Thanks guys

Hey guys, I need some advice on whether or not I'm looking at a dead MAF sensor. I've been having erratic idle and stalling problems for the last 2 months and Today I have tried to record my problem via Conzult to show what my sensors are reading to help give me a clue as to whats wrong with my Z. In the last few days my Z has been stalling constantly when at low revs. It also has a hard time starting in the mornings when the engine is cold. Hi everyone, I have remembered or should I say realised that my Z is most definitely......... NOT my Front wheel drive SAAB 9-5 Aero estate ...... It is a rear wheel drive (I want to go sideways) devil in disguise........ I keep making the mistake of forgetting which car I am driving and pulling away a bit toooooo quickly for the road and traction to handle....... basically sideways (unintentionally)....... I love Lancaster Classic Car Insurance!!!!! I just received a call back from them in regards to insuring both our Zed's the LWB and SWB. My LWB has had to go to the underwriters as I have declared all mods, but the guy thinks it will not be much more than the SWB, but the shorty at the moment is standard but for it's wheels, and I got it on a classic policy with 3000 mile limit (more than enough) agreed valuation of £5,500 for the grand sum of £150.10!!! Brilliant, well happy. So give Lancaster a try when renewing your policies.

Hi has anyone fitted 4 point harnesses at all? I have 3 point installed at the moment but to install a 4 point it looks like I need to install or have made an harness bar? You can buy a universal kit for this but I wondering what anyone else did? Cheers Dan

Guys as we all know the GTO boys have always looked at our cars with envy :) Anyway there are some good guys in their community and I have been discussing ten of the best with a few of them and I have challenged them to a team competition. Yes there will be some big power cars but mostly it will be normal guys with a few mods looking to have a bit of fun. We are thinking a maximum of 8 entries per team to count to the points and we feel that to help it work we will allow Saturday times to count on the 1/4 and top speed run. Hi, been using the new method of adding parts for sale, and noticed a quirk, when you add an attachment, or get an error in posting, when you go back to your post, some of the selection you have made (delivery, listing length..) have reset. I personally haven't run a quarter mile before, I've looked at those various events and Rwyb Sundays, which are obviously the easiest way to get a go at it. However, I'm guessing from previous pics etc it's damn busy, getting 3/4 runs a day, that sounds boring. One fat long traffic jam. So what's the deal? Is it always that bad? Is there a quiet time or a way we could get a few of us together on a weekday for a zed only session? Also it says that if your expecting to run +110 mph passes you need a helmet? I'm assuming that it would be wise as that is potentially possible?
