As you all know ive posted a lot threads on here wanting help . I intend to keep the car till its dying days , ive spent a fair amount of money correcting things , thing which are stressful and some which make me feel better, it seems that soon as I fix one thing another turns up lol. expected though I guess as she's 25 years old. Changed the auto gearbox oil the other day, oil came out really black, however there where no metal deposits in the sump it was just oil. nothing stuck to the swarf magnet either. after the change it ran fine, but now its starting to take a little longer to change gear, almost like its reving really high to about 4000 + before changi…

Hi, I have just sent the zx in for a full service and check suspension - I had a call today saying that the is a feint knock at bottom end and they recommend re-build. Can the big ends be done with engine in or has it to come out - I suppose if it needs to come out then perhaps its time to have other work done - at the moment I have moderate upgrades - divorced downpipes - full stainless system - apexi air induction and ecu upgrade from zedworld several years ago- - have uprated clutch as well. Ideally I would love to be able to get more bHP without stressing the engine but not chasing mad power so I suppose 400-450 BHp max- I was toying with bigger turbos and bigger…

Thought I'd have a quick peek at the steering wheel issue I have this evening, and it turns out no matter how tight I tighten the two 13mm bolts either side the wheel still shifts from side to side, after further examination I noticed that there is two alloy V shaped sleeves on each bolt which the plate slides into. do these or used to have some form of plastic bush type or rubber? as mine are totally bare. if so where can I get some from please? ;)

  12. Hi guys n gals I bought some 600cc Injectors from PFI in Canada that are supposed to be a direct fit for my fuel rails They came with some adapter collars for earlier series Zeds (which is mine) However Lee Dent says that they will not fit because my car as the earlier type injector caps and I need the newer type Quite honestly though Lee has described as best he can I can't quite figure which bit I need but here are two pics he sent - the first pic looks to me like one of the injectors I bought with the adapter collar fitted - the second one (the little flat thing) is apparently what I need - he calls it an Injector Cap Can anyone help? So, I have removed the knckered gear knob as far as I can. The leather and plastic underneath it came off easy. Still cannot get remaining metal part off. I have heated it up, twisted it in both directions until it starts to twist the actual stem, stared at it (willing it to come off) and it still will not budge. My only thought is that it has been threadlocked or superglued on. See pic. Any ideas? I have been through old threads on here and tried everything bar replacing the stem. Cheers Greg

I tried to test the timing on my Z today and cannot see the timing mark on the pulley...... painted it white and on the timing marks.... Started her up, timing gun set to 15 degrees and there is NO mark visible on the top or sides of the pulley..... I can't see the mark anywhere? I had loosened off the CAS to adjust it and now have sod all acceleration...... bloody nightmare.... Starting to think the timing gun is faulty...... I did have to do a bit of moving the 'pick up' to get any strobing at all...... It almost looks like the timing is 180 degrees out, but couldn't be that as engine runs and ticks over nicely......

Hi, thought I'd spend some time on the zed today, as I had a water leak down by the ECU ( passenger foot well ) the leak has now been sorted I thought I'd check all the connections to all the stuff down there, basically unplugged everything carefully to check for any corrosion and to my surprise everything was clean and dry. so I just sprayed all connections with Pirelli electrical joint compound to make a good contact and to prevent any oxidation in the future............... now my car seems to be running faster than before???? any idea's?
