Hi Chaps. Making a start on cleaning up my new Zed, already removed the turbo timer. Found this device behind the panel under the steering wheel. Anybody know what it is and can I bin it? Thanks.

Cant really do a search for this as its throwing up completely the wrong results every time i search, so time for an explanation, (seems that this year is the year for problems to arise on my zed) Hard to explain this so ill try my best, the steering wheel its self shifts left to right, only by around 1/4 an inch, ive narrowed it down to 2 metal bushes, either side of the main shaft, directly behind the interior panel under the steering wheel, seems as though my steering wheel is no longer sitting in them correctly, ive undone the bolts to try and see if i can adjust the fitments, but if the steering wheel is sitting where it can not move, i cant get the bushes to li…

Does anyone know if a TT diff flange will fit a NA diff? Wanted to use TT prop instead of NA as its quite a bit larger and stronger.

Ok, so, I put the AC fan from my 92 NA into my 90 TT shell. The NA fan looks better, plus I sheered a bolt on the TT one...hense why I'm using the NA fan, rather than the TT one. Anyway, went to connect it today, and it has a different plug / socket, with two wires, whilst the TT one has three - NA Fan - TT Fan - I'm tempted to snip the plugs, and wire it, just ignore the green wire, but does anyone know why there is a third green wire for the TT fan? Hi guys I'm a noob on here having recently become the owner of a 1994 UK spec TT Manual. To be fair the car was in a bit of a state when I got hold of it but the plan is to slowly bring it back to life. It had started to be stripped for parts so I've reinstalled the interior and done the usual maintenance like sparks, cleaning all the connectors, new fuel filter and checked ECU for codes but getting the 55 code so all good. When I start it up if will fire but idle really rough before cutting out. I've checked for boost leaks etc and nothing. I tried disconnecting the MAF and car idled perfectly but wouldn't rev past 3k. Fitted a new MAF but the problem…

Hi guys so i just installed a new thermostat and i let the car reach 82 desrees C,and still the water in the rad is cold,What safe temp can i go to until i shut the car down.Thanks

Hi guys i seem to have a problem with the hicas,when i turn on the engine after a few seconds i hear like a rush of fluid and air from under the car.Would there be air in the system,and how can i bleed it.Also the hicas light is on on the dash.Thanks all

Hi guys,i have a question about the timing,so i got a consult cable and free software along with it.On the software it shows IGN TIMING and in a box across from it 0 BTDC,My question is,can i set the timing going buy the software so it shows 15 degrees BTDC on the software,as i dont have a timing light.Thanks guys:pint:

So I've had a pesky oil leak for some time now, it's got to be dealt with. Sadly it's in just about the worst place possible, the oil filter tree. So today I started, I've learnt a few things already. It's damn near impossible to remove the top bolt of the starter motor without a 1/2" UJ, I say damn near, I did manage it. Next up the top two down pipe bolts also require a 1/2" UJ (guess what I'm off to halfords for tomorrow afternoon) In summary, the actuator arm completly blocks the top bolts of the filter tree, and the bolts to remove the actuator are also in a PITA location, hopefully removing the water pipe will allow access. Hi Guys, my handbrake is in a state of non function. no matter how high up you pull it, it just doesn't work. i have removed the rear wheels and adjusted the "star" wheel as instructed but this does nothing to improve the efficiency of the brake. Now im reading about a nut under the brake handle itself, now before i dismantle the dashboard and console is adjusting this nut going to help or do i have a REAL problem. Rich
