Hey guys, I new to the Z game, so I thought I'd check a quote I got. My car is producing a LOT of blue smoke. I have been told to try replacing the PCV valves. Failing that, it's Turbo reconditioning time. I also require a new clutch. I believe I was quoted £250 for the clutch, £600 to have both turbos reconditioned and £400 to fit the clutch and turbos. Seem fair? For £600, is it worth buying a pair of turbos and selling on my old ones as needing a recon? Thanks, Alex

So, went to fit my NA radiator into my turbo shell. It doesn't fit of course... So I need a turbo one, and I was about to buy one from Ebay. Can I just confirm that there aren't any variations of turbo radiator? Last thing I need is another that doesn't fit!

Sorting through some tech pics found some I had not used so enjoy: For anyone with manual gearbox noise in second and forth gear but quiet in other gears the most likely problem is just road and normal transmission noise getting into the cab area due to the lower and upper rubber gaiters coming adrift simply accessing these and ensuring they are correctly fitted will stop the noise. Electrical connections on the engine can be trouble some but a common mix up can occur where the det sensor connector and the nearside vvt connector get mixed as oddly Nissan made them interchangeable and located next to each other. The result of the senso…

Can anyone recommend a good mechanic or garage in the ipswich area that knows there way around the Z? Mine is running like a bag of shit like it's running on 4 or 5 cylinders? And strangely I don't have anything at all were the PTU normally goes on the cam belt cover?

Well i bought my alloy wheels 2nd hand last year and fitted them straight away but not having driven many miles or at speed for some time its only since i started running my car this year i noticed quite a bad vibration from the front end over 60mph. had the car aligned and all the wheels rebalanced to no avail until after some tinternet research turned up some comments about plastic spigot rings. I must confess all the alloys ivehad in the past on all my cars have ben more or less a direct fit so ive never come across these rings before. So while on fleabay i came across a set for £4.95 posted so took a punt and bought a set. So they arrived, a nice purple colour t…

last week my car was covered in tree pollen, was busy so i only had time to jet spray most of the pollen off and dame it don't half stick!! this week end got round to cleaning it proper only to find the pollen has some how eaten into the paint making it look like there's fine speckles of dirt over it. To top it off I only had the rear of the car resprayed late last year :cursing: (was starting to wonder if the bloke just used water colors to paint the car!) so if your car is pollen;ed to **** clean it immediately

I've just installed a profec B2 ebc. I've read loads of posts on here about setting it up and have been playing around with it. After lots of adjusting & testing my max boost is now steady at 13psi. Bearing in mind that the engine is stock apart from chip, exhaust/induction should I be happy with 13psi or can I safely up it further? It feels like a new car already. :)

Is this an easy fix? :helpsmilie: I think I have read that it is due to a weakening of springs, would this be correct? If this is the case, is there a write up somewhere? Also, is there an upgrade to the springs that I should also consider? Any help would be much appreciated as it is driving me mad!! Can't stand rattly engines.

Anyone removed the delay on the interior light after closing drivers door? I have fitted an alarm and if I set alarm straight after closing door it thinks door is open because light is still on, and it chirps 3 times which is annoying at late night.

Ok, Ive decided to strip my interior out of my Z, initially the seats and carpets and then... who knows what. Been in two minds about spending some money and making the car perfect but at the end of the day its a NA Auto and will never recoupe what I would need to spend to get it how I want it so... Ive done a couple of sprint days and have to say I really enyoy it, the Z's a bit long and heavy which makes it a little clumbsy but with a few adjustents it could be even more fun, being auto wasnt a massive issue but may have the conversion done when funds allow. Also I'd like to see how much I can improve on the 16.6 drag times. Not sure if there is any value in t…
