Well guys, I have managed to secure a good deal to get the sill repairs done and have that issue put to bed. Ive noticed driving her that the odometer and trip isn't going up. The previous owner said when he brought it to the mot last Friday morning the speedo stopped working. he turned the car off and restarted it and all ok. It has had a black box fitted behind the clocks for the kmh to mph conversion he said! Is this an easy fix or what's gone on it. Thanks Derek

i've tried using a rachet and 3 different types of spanners but i just cant get the nut of the bolt due to access. how do you professionals remove the part will obstruction spanners do the trick?

Hi All, in the North East and Yorkshire we have a meet arranged at York Raceway. There will be plenty of opportunity to get a good few runs under your belt. Its not as busy as the pod etc so should be a great environment for practice. we have changed the date as they had a clash of dates with their race cars so this will give is a chance to get a fair few runs in. we can camp there the night before if required. Hi all,i am having problems with the installation of my timing belt,i am fitting a gates timing belt all the cam notches are lining up with the belt markes but the crank mark is one belt notch out,should i turn the cams so the the notch lines up with the crank mark?Also my tensioner is seriously tight even with the 6 mm bolt that pushes back the tensioner piston i loosened the 3 bolts on the tensioner to get the belt on and still the tensioner has only 1mm of clearance instead of the 3.5-5.2 recommended clearance.Has anyone had this problem before,never seen a car so difficult to change the t-belt like the 300zx.:blink:

going over my new 300z and really admiring it and how clean she was. Noticed a bit of surface rust on the rear cill near the bottom so thought Id get a bit of G3 and clean it off................... then came the gut wrenching sight :scared:........................... filler and loads of it and not even shaped correctly, then I noticed it wasn't even stonechipped on that side before he painted it. Spoke to the guy I bought her off and he insists he paid £400 3 years ago for the repair and the guy told him he had cut out the rust and plated it.. he must have used a bean can if its gone that fast........ great finish to weekend. time to reconsider these cars..... :thu…

I've had the roof off the zed a couple of times this week and noticed that 60mph is pretty much the most I can go without the buffeting blowing my ear drums to bits, don't remember my last zed being like that. It's a 1996 model and doesn't have the pop up deflectors fitted, do these make that much difference?? Why did nissan drop them if so?

Hi People, does anybody know whether the 350z rear discs fit on a 300zx?

Is there a difference in the early steering wheels and the 96 steering wheel. Mine car has an aftermarket steering wheel and going to put it back to factory original Some idiot put a push button on the left had side of the steering column cowling where there seems to be a hole for another stalk. I assume this was taken off. It must be for the cruise control as I cant see any functions for it. The car is a 96 lwb.. thanks (any photos would be great)

The abs is giving trouble on my 90 tt swb, I have narrowed it down to the control unit. I've a 96 na 300zx that's a breaker, I looked behind rear seat but couldn't see the abs unit, question is have some zed's no abs or am I looking in wrong place?

What's this pipe for? It runs to the block then goes off to the clutch cylinder Is it needed? I plan to run a single pipe down to the clutch cylinder and do away with this bit of the pipe

ant got loads a money but would like to just upgrade my brakes cas there just shocking if im honest. like i say poss go look for some bigger secound hand calipers and disc but dont and wont spend 800 quid on a new set up . what u guys got for what and were to find. shall i ring up the breakers when me gets home or has someone got some stuff they maybe havnt fitted yet and could do with a bit of cash for there mothers daypresent, bless, cherrs any helps much appriciated of course.

I'm gonna be fitting hid's for my dipped beams.....but what do I do about the front fogs? they are old school yellowy colour...do I need another hid kit or is it just a specific bulb required?

Can someone please remind me of the bulb spec for the dip beam on a Jspec, is it H1bc? And any HID kit recommendations? my ageing eyes and the standard candles mean night driving is terrifying these days!

I have GT525 turbos, if i remove the dump valves completely (dont have a set of recircs) would my turbos be able to handle the extra strain when they stall as the butterfly closes? Second question. My after market boost gauge, is now reading just 10psi on full boost, nothing has changed, no settings have been fiddled with and the car still feels like its boosting at 18psi, yet the gauge is now showing a max of 10 instead on full boost ? There is no det sensor wired up, so cant see how it would be in safety mode, though i will check engine codes just to make sure.

Hi there can anyone tell me the part number for a cam belt kit for a z32 n/a 1990 auto, I got one off eBay part no ktb683 they say its the same as the one advertised which was out of stock but I told him it is too small and I got told its the right one according to his books been going on for a week now, thought if anyone would know its you guys.

As some of you will know Im looking for a good lwb (preferably) z with no rust and in good / mint condition, na or tt not a real issue. I've a very helpful friend looking at one this afternoon for me, but after getting a pm about one here in N,ireland, now two have popped up for sale.
