At long last I've got the road zed where it needs to be. Thanks to Jimmer who has put the final touches but it's been a long hard slog to sort out a load of really nice parts and put them together in such a way that it feels like it came out of the factory - just a lot quicker! It's running at 580rwhp but it's so easy to drive I'd be happy enough to let my girlfriend take it for a spin. We went out to blow the cobwebs and it felt right. Then went to the shops where she took the photos and yes they're not the best but we will take some proper ones next time the sun comes out :)

Been thinking about wheels for a while, and thinking about them is all I will be doing for a while yet, there's tried and tested ones that work and there's options that have something else about them. Without going down the route of the range of aftermarkets there are quite a few within the OEM for Nissan's tree that work well. For example the rays of a 350 look fantastic in fact there are a few of these options available that look great from that source. The R33 gtr ones are equally pleasing to look at although a bit smaller at 17". What I've developed a liking for though is the Advan AVS 5's off the SMZ, that idea has a sorta nice appeal. Anyone know much about th…

I've been playing around with Hydrographic Printing, or 'water transfer printing' with a friend So I thought i would post a couple of pics of a bit that we did (cheers markderby for giving me this to have a play with) I sprayed the buttons with a chrome rattle can to give it an extra shiny look I quite like this, will have a go at a few other bits (door handle surronds, fuse box cover) soon Also tried my throttle cable cover a couple of times but it did not quite come out right so gonna respray it and give it a third go There are lots of different patterns/colours you can print, Anyone interested in this stuff give me a shout and I'll put it in…

Hi all I posted on here last week regarding my z for sale, had her up for £3k but after some deliberation I have decided to reduce the price to £2700 willing to reduce further if the buyer doesn't want the expensive stereo system. I cant change the asking price on the classifieds page for some reason so heres a link to the new advert: http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/nissan/300zx/nissan-300zx-n-a--reduced/2107495 I need it gone guys as I have my eye on a twin turbo for sale and don't want to lose out on it, so all offers considered. cheers guys

Well, I suffered a breakdown in a new TT manual Zed I have purchased I was in Southampton. I contacted the AA as I am a member and they sent out a patrol to check the Zed out. He checked it, and found that the diff had gone, so I required a relay home. A AA mechanic/flatbed driver arrived, and the first thing he said is that he doesn't get many of these cars now, so I start telling him about them. He says I know I have one at home.....lol, so asking him if he was a member of any clubs/forums (I try and sell the club to any Zed owner), he said he is indeed a member of 300zx.co.uk, and his username on here is Pig!!! What a small world, anyway, Pig (Richard)…

  14. with the rarity of the sun shining today i decided to swap the seat over. so i start on the passenger side and immediately noticed the matt wet, checked the carpet at it was soaking!! so i continued with the removal of the seat and when i pulled the carpet up there was water just chilling there. not a clue how and where its come from. havent driven her as much in the past few days and day before yesterday took her for a spin and to fuel up. so i literally dont know where its come from secondly there is a hole in the floor im guessing maybe it could have come from there but the amount thats in there wouldnt justify it. should there be a rubber seal or something? idk i…

Hey Guys! I've finally got time to start working on my silver TT :) The rear hatch is currently getting filled and sprayed, along with a 99 spoiler. Could someone be kind enough to measure the position that the spoiler sits? probably best from the glass rubber to the front of the upright on the spoiler? if that makes sense! Pretty plz, Thanks CheerZ

  17. Okay, i know you're all expecting a garage load of spares from me for sale, but i'm going to have to knock that one on the head straight away, sorry. i only have a few items but quality makes up for quantity.. I'm still grateful for the chance to sell them, sorry its been a few days but things are... up and down at the moment. Before i do actually put something up for sale i need to know a couple of things. 1, How do you.... understand that the old sale/wanted/cars for sale are locked, but i cant see how to start a new thread in that classified section. 2, is there any way to differentiate whether a post is a parts for sale, car for sale or parts wanted at the t…

Yep shes ready for another year of fun having had to take her to a different place than my usual "understanding" mot station. My usual tester has tested my zed every year since it was imported but had the roof ripped of his garage in the storms and all his emmissions kit got fooked so i was a little nervous taking her to a new guy. No need to worry coz after Lee Dents sterling work she passed with no advisories at all and thats a first during my ownership theres usually always a small niggle or two on the list, emissions, brake imbalance blah blah blah . My favorite one was once i got told there was excessive movement in the back wheels !!!!!, until his boss mentioned…

I went round to the lock up and tried not to calculate how long it's been since I had a proper drive in my zed. The dirt in the first photo gives an indication of how long it's been which made me sad and meant I'd wasted my energy trying not to calculate it on the walk round. So I woke the grumpy beast She reluctantly agreed to come out for some fresh air We kissed and made up Then I nervously watched the front bumper scuff its way on to a truck (probably only made it due to the gradient we took advantage of in the car park) to wave it farewell for now as it heads down to Jeff for some loving after a Geordie transporter saved the day.…
