I've had a flocking idea for my glovebox. The glovebox on the Z is a hard and cheap looking plastic. As they're now getting on, the finish is not quite 'showroom' and I was thinking about getting it flocked so that it feels a looks a little nicer. When I mean the glovebox, I mean the plastic liner. My old E90 M-Sport had one and it felt quite nice. Wondering if anyone's had this done before? Would do mine in black, but possibly dark grey?

To try and get my stillen gtz front lip to fit, after I received it the other week I tried to fit and found it wouldn't, after successfully trying the fit on z32bolts car (thanks buddy) just to confirm that it was just my z being off. I realised that my smoothed bumper was the issue, the lip simply would not fit as the slats in the original bumper would not give enough for me to hook it over the ends of the bumper. ( other stock z's won't have this issue if you have the original stone chip) I think there was soo much hardener used in the paint the bumper simply wouldn't flex. So after some sun and working on different cars all yesterday I decided by 5 pm I would g…

on the light controls one screw hole was broken in half and wouldnt hold tightly so i used some quick steel and made it whole again :) it was quite simple fitted the screw all the way in its tightened place and then applied the quick steel over the missing half. then left i to dry and wallah!

ive finally replaced my pods and ill be damned if i start drilling holes in it!! the alarm light was on top behind the boost gauge and the rear fog lights switch was on the inside of the pod, both on the ride side pod. firstly id like to have a separate switch for the rear fogs on the control panel. theres a space for a switch which is for the cruise control. if someone can donate just that switch or one that would be awesome. if i cant have it the way i plan then how can i wire the rear fogs to the front fog switch. so that both front and back are controlled from one switch :)

At long last I've got the road zed where it needs to be. Thanks to Jimmer who has put the final touches but it's been a long hard slog to sort out a load of really nice parts and put them together in such a way that it feels like it came out of the factory - just a lot quicker! It's running at 580rwhp but it's so easy to drive I'd be happy enough to let my girlfriend take it for a spin. We went out to blow the cobwebs and it felt right. Then went to the shops where she took the photos and yes they're not the best but we will take some proper ones next time the sun comes out :)

Been thinking about wheels for a while, and thinking about them is all I will be doing for a while yet, there's tried and tested ones that work and there's options that have something else about them. Without going down the route of the range of aftermarkets there are quite a few within the OEM for Nissan's tree that work well. For example the rays of a 350 look fantastic in fact there are a few of these options available that look great from that source. The R33 gtr ones are equally pleasing to look at although a bit smaller at 17". What I've developed a liking for though is the Advan AVS 5's off the SMZ, that idea has a sorta nice appeal. Anyone know much about th…

I've been playing around with Hydrographic Printing, or 'water transfer printing' with a friend So I thought i would post a couple of pics of a bit that we did (cheers markderby for giving me this to have a play with) I sprayed the buttons with a chrome rattle can to give it an extra shiny look I quite like this, will have a go at a few other bits (door handle surronds, fuse box cover) soon Also tried my throttle cable cover a couple of times but it did not quite come out right so gonna respray it and give it a third go There are lots of different patterns/colours you can print, Anyone interested in this stuff give me a shout and I'll put it in…

Hi all I posted on here last week regarding my z for sale, had her up for £3k but after some deliberation I have decided to reduce the price to £2700 willing to reduce further if the buyer doesn't want the expensive stereo system. I cant change the asking price on the classifieds page for some reason so heres a link to the new advert: http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/nissan/300zx/nissan-300zx-n-a--reduced/2107495 I need it gone guys as I have my eye on a twin turbo for sale and don't want to lose out on it, so all offers considered. cheers guys

Well, I suffered a breakdown in a new TT manual Zed I have purchased I was in Southampton. I contacted the AA as I am a member and they sent out a patrol to check the Zed out. He checked it, and found that the diff had gone, so I required a relay home. A AA mechanic/flatbed driver arrived, and the first thing he said is that he doesn't get many of these cars now, so I start telling him about them. He says I know I have one at home.....lol, so asking him if he was a member of any clubs/forums (I try and sell the club to any Zed owner), he said he is indeed a member of 300zx.co.uk, and his username on here is Pig!!! What a small world, anyway, Pig (Richard)…

with the rarity of the sun shining today i decided to swap the seat over. so i start on the passenger side and immediately noticed the matt wet, checked the carpet at it was soaking!! so i continued with the removal of the seat and when i pulled the carpet up there was water just chilling there. not a clue how and where its come from. havent driven her as much in the past few days and day before yesterday took her for a spin and to fuel up. so i literally dont know where its come from secondly there is a hole in the floor im guessing maybe it could have come from there but the amount thats in there wouldnt justify it. should there be a rubber seal or something? idk i…

Hey Guys! I've finally got time to start working on my silver TT :) The rear hatch is currently getting filled and sprayed, along with a 99 spoiler. Could someone be kind enough to measure the position that the spoiler sits? probably best from the glass rubber to the front of the upright on the spoiler? if that makes sense! Pretty plz, Thanks CheerZ
