Ok done a good few targa drain tech threads but last week with a poorly zed showing lots of electrical issues and auto gearbox issues it all looked very connected and with the trusty camera on hand all was soon revealed. The auto box was not changing gear at all well, first to second was a huge shift at way too high revs, a previous check on the ConZult revealed a very high reading on the TPS ( throttle position sensor ) that could not be altered what ever adjustment was made to the tps, this would cause the gearbox to be receiving conflicting information, the car horn was also not working from the steering wheel but would intermittent start sounding when the car…

HI guys Can anyone recommend some good injectors around 555cc - 600cc and preferably direct fitment for the existing ones? Noz has done his best to try and pursuade me it would be better to fit some before he remaps my car with the GTX2860's fitted  I did see some 600cc injectors from a seller in Canada on ebay (PFI) but I don't know really if these are any good (apart from the fact they were Red :devil2:) and what I should expect should cost for a set of decent ones anyway. Of course as an off chance someone here may have a set of spare ones? cheers Rich

I took my Z out for a nice long run this evening and have noticed its only boosting up to 6psi. Over the winter I installed a front mount intercooler and have noticed when boosting at 6psi as soon as the throttle is released if I listen carefully I can hear air releasing (same noise as a dump valve only quieter) - it didnt make this noise before... Is this noise normal due to a larger intercooler and hard pipes? Or is something not right? I have read the codes on the ecu half expecting to see code 34 but it read 55. Where do I go from here? Boost leak test I guess? Thanks, Dan

My Z got complimented three times today , even when parked up behind a spanking new audi RS5. I am starting to get a bit jealous of her :thumbup1: I know we are all a bit bias as we own them but they truly are a good looker

Hi all, I realise this topic has been talked about hundreds of times, but I'm after a front brake kit for the Nissan. I has pretty much decided I was going for a 330mm Wilwood kit because it perfectly fit the spec I was after. When I enquired about the wilwood kit, it seems they aren't making them any more, and only the 345 kit is available, which won't fit under 17 inch wheels! The next price up is either D2 or ksport brakes (essentially the same) but that's really stretching my budget! Anyone got any ideas for a 330mm kit to fit under 17"s? I'm a little worries about the cost of replacing pads in the ksports/d2s, any experiences of this? …

When I took my gearbox off last year it was nightmare, it didn't want to separate from the engine...finally got it off after a couple hours! Anyway, went to refit it today, guess what, it's a nightmare to refit! The bell-housing is about 1 - 2 cm away from engine, I've managed to get a couple bolts in on the bottom, just a few threads to hold it. I can just see the edge of flywheel, but I just can't close the gap! I've been on all day jacking up different parts, getting it aligned, pushing and pulling on the engine, wiggling the gearbox like mad, but it nothing! I'm actually pretty exhausted! It's not stuck on anything, as far as I can tell, and the …

Difficult to see how in the dry on a straight road and in traffic that things can go wrong but they do, sad to see another zed in a bad way, still not sure to the full extent yet underneath but the o/s rear wheel is all at the wrong angle and the gearbox seems locked, insurance company and customer still in discussion over value etc. will see what they say and update as we go, again may sound over the top but be careful guys and girls, zeds and similar cars can bite even the experience driver in the bum. I was driving back to London from the Midlands a week ago when in the middle of Brixton Sat night traffic my clutch failed. Complete loss of pressure and couldn't engage any gears. Had to sit around for 3+ hrs for a low loader to come and carry me home! I've been out of the country since and unfortunately have shoulder surgery early next week and will be one armed til mid May! Is there anyone close to Surrey that knows their way around the Zed mechanically able to help me in diagnosing the fault this weekend? I would do it myself but a) I know very little and b) the car is in the garage which sits on an incline so I won't be able to get it back in after getting …
