Iv a misfire in cylinder 5 took the leads off the coilpacks 1 by 1 everyone dropped in revs except number 5 switched the plug from 5 to a good one no joy switched the coilpack with a good one no joy took the coilpack out with sparkplug and it sparked so it is getting power to coilpack have a spare ecu tried that no joy Any ideas what to try next injector? Or is there anything else iam missing Any help thanks

Well good couple of days getting the zed ready for paint,all welding and filling done. Now sanding ready to for priming,i have used 1200 sandpaper on old paint to key primer to the paint is this right or do i wet and dry it as well? I know between primer coats i have to wet and dry it using 1200 but do i do this before applying primer? How many coats of primer do i give before top coats and how many top coats would you say i apply? Any advice would be greatly appreciated:-)

As you can see from my previous thread ive tried various things to try and work out the problem Someone mentioned limp mode. Could this be the cause? If so how do you get it out of limp? Tried ecu diagnostic comes up 55 clear.. the reason why im thinking this is that when Im im in drive it goes from 1st to 2nd while im in 2nd a fairly high revs u can feel the car hesitating to change but doesn't then if I put it into 2nd you can actually feel the engine-gearbox take the strain as such. Hi guys, well i finally sold my gearbox damaged germanic pile of crap called a BMW to 2 latvian guys from sheffield. So with the sale done we started searching the auto websites for a decent Zed, Easier said than done, good ones to expensive, bad ones to cheap. Then on some obscure auto sale site was an advert, no picture, but an interesting description and best of all, just up the road in wisbech. Got started on manual conversion this afternoon, got brake pedal fitted, clutch pedal and servo fitted, down to workshop on Wednesday to get box swapped and plumb in the pipe work and sort wiring, then get props bolted together and get them down to the balancing company. Going to bhp show in 2 weeks so that's my deadline to have it done!

Does anyone know where to thread the tubing that goes from the back of a boost gauge through to the engine? I cannot find a single hole in the rear of the engine bay. Any pointers/pics? I want to install an after-market boost gauge in the car... Cheers, Greg

From what I've managed to learn, this wire is connected to a contact inside the barrel, which sounds a bong; if the door is open, with a key in the ignition - The barrel is from my 92 NA, now installed in my 1990 TT shell. There is nowhere to connect it in the earlier shell, so I'm guessing I'm going to be 'bong-less', I'm just going to leave it disconnected...no choice really, lol. Can anyone confirm that I have this right? Cheers!

Hi Guys, Just a quick question what is the best way to re torque the 27mm lower pulley bolt. Is it best to put the car in gear and hold it on the brakes or jam the fly wheel ring gear ?
