I required some throttle body gaskets so on searching the forum I came across a thread where Jimmer said he had some, emailed him and politely also asked about the idle valve gasket, he had this also - wouldn't accept any payment whatsoever :cool3:. A few weeks later I sent a pm to Znut, optimistically really enquiring if he had rocker cover gaskets and a plenum gasket, his reply said I was a lucky so and so as he had all 3 !! Result and again after practically begging him to pay he would ignore all my request for a paypal address !! I must also say that I did hold something for Brian that he wanted for many months, this what not a problem for me but the sale of his …

Hopefully some of the experienced members can help me, Looking for advice on tyres for different forms of motorsport It's the first time I've tried to build a car with a purpose, started after seeing Pete's na at japfest a few years back, now I'm turning my na into a "toy" for trackdays and occasionally trips to santa pod, Tbh it'll never see competition use but would still like to do it properly, So would like to know what I should be closing, I've currently got a few sets of alloys 8 oe alloys, set of 370, and a set of 9j 18's, unfortunately the oe won't fit over the brakes I want but wanted the 370 for road / show, the 18's for track, but guess I'd best …

Hi Guys. whats been going on is when the engine is warm/hot and i start it , it starts okay and the revs go about 800 -900. but when i put it in D or R the revs suck right down and sometimes stalls. inconvenient and quite frankly downright embarrassing. When the engine is cold, the idle is at 1100-1200 so when it sucks down it doesn't stall. No i have read LOADS of articles about this and the fixes are to numerous to mention. One thing i do not want to do is to go ferreting around, looking for the answer only to make a dozen more problems from disturbing 20 year old electrics. So is this problem of mine a common issue and all i need to do is increase the idle speed? On…

Hi, I am considering doing a NA diff conversion to my TT and would like comment from those that have experienced the conversion, the net is full of those for and against. My TT has a fully forged motor with Z1 GT675 turbos and has some big power potential although I am still running in the motor. Some time back I discovered that my TT diff had some back lash as well as my inner and outer cv's needed changing and the cost was massive due to the unavailability of spares in my country. On the net I found that the NA conversion was the way to go and some claim "best performance mod to a TT"and in my situation was the most cost effective way to overcome my worn out rear …

i all Need help with this. Managed to get into the cars gearbox ecu and everything electrical is functioning correctly. However according to the main ecu my timing is 15 degrees before top dead centre. And its not picking a load signal. Is any of this related to my gearbox issue? Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk

Here's my quandary: I'd like my ignition ring to light up constantly as soon as the car's unlocked and to turn off when the car's locked. Is there a way I can link into the central locking (or the alarm loom) whereby that'd be possible...? Please note: I don't want it to be an ignition live! Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Wondering if anyone is interested in this sort of thing - 3D scanning. I plan on scanning the Nissan in as much detail as possible as I strip it down to rebuild mine in the very near future. I'll scan the exterior, interior and underside then scan each part as I remove it. With scan data as the ultimate reference it's quite easy then to to take precise measurements, and overlay CAD designs. You can even start to turn the scan into Cad semi automatically but this is a skill set I am just starting to learn. I am quite happy to make the data available for the benefit of the community. An example rough and ready scan of the Twins front bumper I bought, data nee…

Right I've decided to start getting the underside of my car upto a bit more mischief potential. I started by buying a rear subframe assembly off Jaffa, all polybushed with some extras. So here the assembly as it arrived, I say arrived but that makes it sound easy. Jaffa wrestled it off his car onto his trailer drive it down to sunny bournemouth from bath, and we about 6 of us in total spent the next hour hoofing around some altogether heavier, that's his story though. Now I'm going to strip it down clean it up and give it a lick of pain, etc. Started stripping it down, having some trouble with the lower arm ball joint. What's the procedure with the…

Finally got around to doing a boost leak test the other weekend, was surprised at how easy it was to do. however didn't have much time with the compressor so it was just a quick test, and surprise surprise I have leaks. a couple at the top but that just appears to be where the connection has weakened due to old 24 year old hose. But there sounded like there was a big one at the back of the engine, definitely louder from the top than the bottom though so I don't think it's from the turbo's themselves although I could be wrong. Is there a decent diagram of just the boost system? just to make it easier to find possible leak points? I started panicking thinking it w…

Evening Chaps. Can anyone tell me for sure if the standard NA air box is exactly the same as the TT. I think it is because there is no separate listing for air filters, but want to be sure! I have access to an NA breaker that's all. Cheers...

So the question is what’s the widest rear tyre you can fit on a Z32 with standard body work? Rolled arches are permitted. Who’s got them and what does it do for the traction? I know I can fit 285s on my 9½JJ wheels, but will they then fit in the rear arches?

Hi there, needs some advice....I want to change my TT rear suspension to a NA setup (non HICAS) My question is will my TT "a" arms, upper arms and the link arm (not sure of the correct names) fit the NA sub frame and NA bearing carrier? I have deleted HICAS on the TT already. Reason is the NA "a" arms, upper arm and the link armare quite corroded as it was a coastal car and the TT ones rust free and have poly bushes fitted. I dont have both subframes on the ground to visually compare. Thanks for any info.
