Just wanted to publicly acknowledge my huge appreciation to Terry for helping me out massively by providing me some bits free of charge, to get me out of a hole with my dead bottom end and screwed block. You sir, are a gent and I definitely owe you a beer! It's members like Terry that make it such a pleasure to own a zed and be part of this club and community. Now, wheres my spanners...?

Nice long weekend and my Z is coming out of storage to get prepped ready for spraying and engine fitting. Now the question is do I show pics before, during and when it's done or just show the end result? Won't be a quick one as the Z is a 120 miles away from where I live now so will only be able to work on some weekends, but it's taken 5 years to get this far so it definitely has been a slow build!

Hi Guys, I have greddy oil temp & pressure gauges fitted. the sender units are fitted to a sandwich plate that will not take a genuine nissan oil filter without emptying £50 worth of silkolene all over the floor ! I have spotted 2 blanking plugs on the oil tree above the oil filter one of them has a 10 mm bolt in it the other has an allen headed blanking plug. Is it possible to use these 2 for the sender units and do away with this naff sandwich plate ?

So I understand that dumpvalves are generally a bad idea as they stall the turbos etc etc (or something along those lines) Someone told me that if I fitted hard boost pipes I may gate a more pronounced wastegate chatter type sound ? or is this nonsense :) I do need to get rid of my honking - - - Updated - - - the cars honking :)

Hey guys, I'm determined to sort out all the niggles on my vert asap, one of those niggles has been around for a while. It seems when I connect the battery something under the bonnet is hissing/ pressurising? It will do this until the battery goes flat so I'm constantly using my cut off switch to stop the battery going flat :(. I know something is wrong as when I connect the battery on my TT, it's silent and nothing happens until the key is turned! Any ideas where to start looking Cheers

Zed came home on a truck last night For those that missed my other thread, it's probably all related http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?176878-Problems-Problems-Problems I think I haven't bled it properly after changing the water pipe the other night, so last night whilst on a spirited drive I once again lost all the water, only this time it was smoking like a chimney, people 5 cars back were getting it through the windows, thick white smoke. My temp gauge never got in the red, infact I think it may of even been higher during Sunday's incident, although that could of been due to the speed I was going and the wind keeping it cold. …

Hi Went out in car lunchtime, got caught in big downpour - not sure if a factor but I have lost the indicators on left side only, right still working fine. I have checked and as far as I can see there is only 1 fuse, that is obviously ok as right side working. Has the car got 2 flasher units? or is indicator stalk knackered? Help please as nearly had a car rear end me lunchtime Rob

Anyone's on here and is this a realistic price tag? I have to say looking at some which have sold over the past year do look a lot better than this one but then again the investment put in by the owner is quite substantial Personally I have seen better looking Zeds about for less than half the amount requested.

  17. I need help please guys, especially from you xtd owners. Mark has fitted my 460ftlbs car with an xtd clutch and flywheel and has called me to say it slips in 4th and 5th. Now Phutumsh has 500 plus horse power and his doesn't slip. Will it bed in is my hopeful question, if so, how should it be bedded in. A bit worried, I don't think its a fault with the part just either it cant hold the power, or isn't run in. Thanks in advance guys.

Ok so checked the resistance on pinout 44 which is the neutral switch on the ECU, getting 8.4 volts from reverse and drive But no voltage on neutral or park? Is this normal? Plus I also purchased a new battery. I'm starting to think that this is coincidence! So looking for a gearbox. Hopefully the chap on here will get back to me. am I clutching at straws here? or could the problem be one of the following? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NISSAN-300ZX-FAIRLADY-AUTOMATIC-GEAR-GEAR-POSITION-SELECTOR-SHIFT-SENSOR-/331041429292?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Car+Make%3ANissan%7CModel%3A300+ZX&hash=item4d139b572c http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NIS…

Hi all, I have purchased a pair of brembo front calipers off ebay for a bargain. And have read up a few posts on here regarding the disks needed and brake lines and brackets for relocating the caliper. I was wondering if anyone had bought this kit off ebay and if it was any good? http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=221427525667&alt=web Or can anyone point me in the best direction to get the correct parts from. My main concern is the relocation brackets as I dont want crap ones and I know ebay sometimes sells dodgy stuff. Thanks jon
