:bow: Just like to thank the couple of people who have given me some suggestions on the Z....and the search i have done for Insurance company's i have rang round at least 12 plces and have found that the best quote i have been given is from ;) Houghton Insurance :D They seem to be the only place with a good quote for a modded twin t Jap import. All, I'm thinking (along with some others.....LOL) of ditching my HICAS...... What do I need and what is it going to cost me? I like the idea of the loss of weight from ditching it plus no more rear end turning! :) Any help appreciated as always. Matty.

I am posting this message on behalf of Smithy who currently doesn't have internet access. Long story short: Smithy's engine has gone tits up after his trip down to THOR Racing from the Isle of Man. It needs to go to RC Developments in Warrington for a rebuild tomorrow afternoon. However, they will not be able to start the job for another 2-3 weeks during which time Smithy's car needs to be securely stored (as he doesn't want to take it to IOM and then back again in 3 weeks time). He is requesting help from forum members who live in or around Warrington to find out if anyone can store his car until it goes in to RC Developments. Perhaps someone knows of a place …

Hi, I am in need of some of your opinions on which style of rear spoiler I should put on my car. The two I like the most are the high level one and the low level one being sold at the Z centre. http://www.zcentre.co.uk/spoilers/spoilers.shtml I do like the high level but can't decide if it is too over the top! Pun not intended! I am told though that the low level spoiler hides the blue lights on the Rozzer mobiles. Surely that is potentialy risky! :rofl: Anyway, what do you guys think, low or high level? H Guys, Have found that rarest of rare species,a competent, reliable, resonable mechanic in the south east! He owns a Zed himself and has worked on several for AndyZ, he also helped me to complete my NA to TT conversion on my convetible Zed. So if that isn't a baptism of fire I don't know what was!!! He also built a formula ford championship winning engine, the name of the team escapes me now! His workmanship is painstakingly meticulous, with him taking more car on my car than I would of done! what is the best uprated clutch for my zed, mines slipping when i boot it but not when driving normally? Ive got a decat powerflow exhaust and blitz induction kit with a se boost upgrade, thinking of getting a custom chip in the future. any thoughts would be appreciated cheers.

As most of us have got, I've got the standard auto gear leaver. Can I fit the newer type, I think 99 spec, one as in the pic below. And where could I obtain one? Dave

Hi everyone, first post :) I hope to be getting a Z soon, I currently drive a v6 ford probe, and have a set of CAM 264 Alloys, 18", with 235/35 tyres on. Could anyone tell me if my PCD 114.3 and offset 38 will be OK with the Z ? Also, is there anything to look out for when buying one? I would ideally like a manual twin turbo, how rare are they (like supra rare or what?) With my budget, 3-7k on car, totalling up to 10k with mods, How much should I expect to achieve with that money? This is my second Z and of course it's giving me grief, does anybody run these cars day in day out without problems for work or business etc. I love the cars but sometimes I don't altogether trust it to get me where I'm going, I've run big Scorpio Cosworths, Omega's, 944's and Supra's (older shape) and I never got that " I'm about to strand you in the middle of nowhere" vibe from any of them and they never did. What I would like to know really is have I been unlucky or are all Z's inherently unreliable and should they be kept strictly for the weekends.

I am trying to get an idea of the work involved in fitting wide rear arches (Paul Bailey / Z centre). I have heard that the original rear quarter panels / wings are removed completely and replaced with the wider items, is this true? If not, what needs to happen to fit them? Thanks. Paul.

I've only had the car about a week. I understand the heater except the 'auto' button. Also how can you tell if the air con is on or off? I guess it's off now cos it's cold but is there any way I can tell in summer or stop it soming on to preserve power / fuel? Cheers

Hi all, Does anyone know of anywhere in the NorthWest that has a conzult? I live in Bolton. Heres the problem, I went to see Jeff at Zedworld today. He put me some new shockers on ( Its like driving a different car, the old ones might as well not been on!! This has cured my skip to the side when going over bumps by the way). He also put his Conzult on which told me that my Knock sensor was knackered. He explained everything in plain english and said he could put a resistor in that would fool the system into thinking everything was hunky dory. Its not a solution, I know that and he knows that but its better than safety boost! Anyway on to the real problem, …

Can people help me? My car seems to be pulling to the left. I have had the wheels balanced and had them lazer alligned which has helped but it still pulls slightly. Can any one think of a reason? What is the next course of action? Get it on a Jig? Can any one think of what to check next? I have also noticed when I reverse and turn the wheel hard right, I get a grinding clinking noise. Could that have anything to do with it? Stuart

Hi, I went down to Southampton to have a peek at my Zed just before I pick it up on Saturday and found that I am gonna need a new rear spoiler as the standard one is all cracked as I know they are prone to do with age. I have looked at the spoliers on the Zcentre website and have decidedf to go for one of those Supra style ones. What I would like to know is what else is needed apart from the spolier. I know I will need the perspex cover along the back but do I also need the tailgate skin to cover the mess along the top of the bootlid? Also any idea how much the total project usually costs including fitting and spraying Thanks, Justin

hi all i was removing my headlamps today to give em a good clean inside & out and after removing the glass and trim from inside a small packet with 4 orange tablets fell out WTF are these and do i put em back in or bin em :confused:
