As my car should be ready again next weekend (fingers crossed) I'm going to be reinstalling the nut behind the wheel. I can see this being a real problem as my nut is likely to be very over eager from having no Zed for over a month. Why did the bloody weather choose now to have a bloody Arctic freeze wave??!!

I'm looking to replace the two 10mm ID (I think) hoses going to the oil cooler from the engine. The Nissan replacements are extortionate. Anyone know where you can get plain and simple oil hose from quickly? Is there anything different about hoses designed to carry oil compared to hoses designed to carry water, or can I just buy normal water grade hoses? Ta.

Anyone using or tried Ring Xenon Plus bulbs for dipped beam? Looking at ad they claim 30% brighter. Just brought some PIAA platinum white for £48 but realised now I'm home they have given me H1 types again not the H3's needed (all motor factors seem to get this wrong). Might trade them in for the RING type if they are any good as they're only £15. Can't aford time to take & send headlights away for the upgared at the moment.

Ok, i hve managed to get off al the bolts at the front of he alternator (By removing the rad). The belt is a little bit less tense but not enough to pull it off. How the hell do you undo the bolt at the back of the alternator? I can barely touch it, nevermind getting a wrench or socket in there! Am i missing something really blunt here, oris this job a total git? Any suggestions would be great, as id like to get it done tomorrow,if not i will have to book it in to a garage  Cheers

Is there a proper place to put the targa top blinds or the actual targa top panels themselves? I put mine behind the driver's seat but it doesn't seem the best solution. Cheers gents

Why is the stock one in 2 peices to start with? Is it so it can flex when going over bumps and cause less stress on the diff and box? Trying to think what could be causeing my speed related vibrations in my car. The tracking is correct as is the balancing. There is a possibility that one of the wheels has got buckled. The only other thing I can think of is the centre prop bearing. I was wondering if it is worth getting a 1 peice one. It is a little bit lighter than OEM and more than strong enough, but should save a few HP because there is no bearing to turn and no centre joint to lose power. What your thoughts? Stuart

Went to a scrap yard just outside Ipswich to get some trim and they had a gray uk TT with a 300zx.co.uk sticker in the side windows. They have left the targas off and looks like a good leather interior is now crap. Looks like it had new tyres as well. Had a bad off side front shunt. Who owned it? David.

Hi, I have bypassed the clutch boost tanks and just have the booster hose going directly to the clutch booster, do I still need to have the one way valve in line? There is a very small diameter outlet on the L/hand bulkhead side of the balance bar, what does this do and connect to? On the right hand side of the engine there are two small diammeter pipes running along side the base of the plenum, am I right in thinking these feed the AIV and EGR systems?

Hi All, I seem to be getting strange glug glug sounds coming from the wheels arch areas, I removed the AIV's a few months ago hoping to solve the problem but have had no luck. I can only assume that it must be oil related. Would a shot oil pump create these glugging sounds? cheers Jim

During the past few days, my car's been running a little jerky at low revs and not pulling as before at the higher end. Ran diagnostic today and the ECU threw up codes 33 and 34 :( . Unplugged and cleaned the O2 and det connectors and reset the ECU but the codes are still there. Warmed and ran the engine at 2000RPM for a few mins in Mode II and the LED didn't flash at all, indicating exhaust gas is lean on the left side sensor, I guess. Right side sensor flashed 5 times, so I guess all is well on this side. Didn't try any voltage readings, as I haven't got the equipment or the know-how. So what do I do next, short of buying and fitting new sensors? Just prior to the…
