Does anyone know if the coil packs on a turbo are the same as a n/a ? The reason I ask that is Courtesy do show a different part number for the turbo and n/a. Cant think of why they would be different, but I just noticed that the turbo ones are £32 more, well, if they are different, will they still fit? and if they will fit, will fitting just one turbo one cause any problems? Thanks John

Hi, The Engine starts and runs :D :D :D :D But slight problem with the clutch! Adjusted it to it's fullest extent at the pedal! Bleed the slave cylinder and bleed nipple on inner wing, used a litre of brake fluid! The clutch just about engages and lets me change gear, the mechanic reckons I should get a longer arm on my slave cylinder! Opinions wanted?

Right... I just put my viscous coupling in the oven! Sounds daft but I wanted to check it locked up when it got hot. However, the hotter it got, the easier it was to turn by hand. To me, this sounds like a bust viscous coupling. Any thoughts?

About to order some Goodyear Eagle F1s for my Z (235/45zr17 front, 255/40zr17 rear) Before I do, are there any other brands I should consider? I'm only interested in grip (i.e. staying alive in the wet), not wear. A little sideways incident in the rain yesterday told me it was time to take the utter sh1te off the rear wheels once and for all...

My hydraulic lifters have always been a bit rattly, but have become excessively noisy lately and don't quieten down at all now on the way to work which is a 15 minute drive through town. They only go quiet after about 20mins of motorway driving. It really does sound like a transit van now on startup - has anyone ever had these replaced? Got an idea of cost? Very hard to live with this noise for much longer - I was thining about an engine oil flush to try to unstick sticky ones, but as car has done 109K I'm worried it will do more harm than good. Cheers Alex.

My car has a tiny patch of missing paint under the front spoiler. I got the paint code (LP2 G) and went to my local Nissan dealer  They said they'd never heard of it. Any idea where I can get some paint? I'd prefer proper Nissan stuff. It's a very dark metallic purple called Aubergine i think. Thanks again guys

I've been told to get Uk spec spark plugs in my jap-NA 300. I went to my local Nissan dealer  and was quoted £84 for six plugs. I'm going to try a local motor store next. Is £84 way over the top? Also, what plugs should I get? I've been told NGK PFR6B11C Thanks gents

The dipped headlights on the Z are rubbish! I've adjusted them (up and down) which helps, but is there any way of adjusting them sideways? I believe that there is some kind of headlight conversion to improve the dipped lights. Can someone point me in the right direction? Cheers Ed

I've brought this one up before. Have spoken to the previous owner about the boost gauge which just sits at zero. He says that the Nissan dealer who replaced both turbos connected the vacuum pipes up wrongly to the control unit and they only way they can put it right is to have another Z to compare the installation with!!!!!!!! Anybody got any installation tips for me? Cheers Ed

I've just bought a powerflow exhaust system including back boxes & midsection, it's 2.5" in diameter. I was wondering what the diameter of the cat outlets are & if they will mate up with the new exhausts I've got  I don't really want to remove the exhaust until I know that the new pipes will fit as the car is my daily driver! Will I need to buy 2.5" de-cat pipes? Cheers, Shaun

As suggested in another post - Skyline type rear lights for the ZX would look great. However, the Skyline light measures 6" in diameter and the rear light panel of the ZX is only 6" so it means that the whole rear panel would have to be modified to accomodate the Skyline light. So here are the issues: 1. How many people are up for a Skyline type rear light panel? 2. Is there any expertise within the Forum to come up with a proto-type or a contact who could do the same? 3. Could someone come up with a computorised vision of the rear of the ZX? If there was a large demand for this rear end - then maybe we could convince Luke from the Z Centre to look into…

I'm sure my car can't be the only one with a wobbly driver's seat - then again, not everyone uses the back seat everyday like I have to! But I definitely have a screw loose somewhere, so I'm off to try to take it out for a look at today. Any helpful advice always welcome!

Just been around the block for a quick blat and as pulled back into my street noticed BATTERY light was on. Not only that the LIGHTS light the ANTI-LOCK light , DIFF OIL and MISS OIL Lights were all on. Then I noticed the temperature - in the MAX. switched off the engine and could here gurlgling noises from under the bonnet. About a litre of water came out from near the passenger front wheel. I let car cool down and just started up again to see. Car starts up fine but all them lights are still on. temp is now in norm. There is …
