I haven't had my Z long (N/A jap). Today it wouldn't start at first. After a while I got it going by turing it over and giving it some accelerator at the same time. Before it just fired up fine with no pedals needed. Is this anything to worry about? Cheers

Ok, can anyone please help me out here? TBH I think I may have two probs, I'll explain; Firstly it's a pain to start, it takes quite a few attempts to start it from cold. Its as if the fuel is returning to the tank, and its having to pump it back up before it'll start  Second, with the first problem, its draining the battery, not too much if I've used it the day before, but I last used it this week on Monday. When I got home from work this afternoon, I tried to start it, but as it didnt strike on the first attempt, it then lost the battery power and I just got a clicking on and off sound  . I've got a Scorpion alarm/imobiliser fitted…

Do the other types of cooking oil work as well as peanut oil for making your window seals swell? Thanks John

I replaced the t-top seal, the one that contacts the top of the window. But now it stands about 1/4" farther out than the old door seal, which it butts up to on either side. Cant believe the old seal had compressed that much. Now it seams I have to replace the door seal, has anyone successfully replace these seals ? seems they never go in right. John

Hi, I know the insurance questions have been asked over and over but... I have a J Z32 TT with the usual, air filter, chip, boost increase, exhaust and wheel modifications. I pay £585 with Privilege insurance. I'm trying to buy another Z with more power. J spec, manual with 350-400 BHP. The car is valued up to 14k. Now even with my age (30), full unprotected NCB, no convictions, no claims, clean license, limited milage (5k), voluntary excess of £500, cat1, trakker, garaged, domestic/pleasure only and a second car, I am being quoted.....wait for it.....£1800  That's with Adrian Flux. Tesco quoted £1812 (go tesco!). Hyperformance £20…

In a sketch ( I think it was one copied from Courtesy) on this forum it showed a layout of the fuel and vacumm lines. I am replacing all mine with the blue silicone ones, and also fitting new fuel lines. The sketch shows the vacumm hose going from the PR into the solid piping and exiting out using rubber tubing to somewhere down near the battery. Mine exits out of the hard pipe to some kind of switch on the right side of the engine (passenger side) Anyone else seen this? Is it supposed to be this way ? Thanks John

All, I'm thinking (along with some others.....LOL) of ditching my HICAS...... What do I need and what is it going to cost me? I like the idea of the loss of weight from ditching it plus no more rear end turning! :) Any help appreciated as always. Matty.

I am posting this message on behalf of Smithy who currently doesn't have internet access. Long story short: Smithy's engine has gone tits up after his trip down to THOR Racing from the Isle of Man. It needs to go to RC Developments in Warrington for a rebuild tomorrow afternoon. However, they will not be able to start the job for another 2-3 weeks during which time Smithy's car needs to be securely stored (as he doesn't want to take it to IOM and then back again in 3 weeks time). He is requesting help from forum members who live in or around Warrington to find out if anyone can store his car until it goes in to RC Developments. Perhaps someone knows of a place …

Hi, I am in need of some of your opinions on which style of rear spoiler I should put on my car. The two I like the most are the high level one and the low level one being sold at the Z centre. http://www.zcentre.co.uk/spoilers/spoilers.shtml I do like the high level but can't decide if it is too over the top! Pun not intended! I am told though that the low level spoiler hides the blue lights on the Rozzer mobiles. Surely that is potentialy risky! Anyway, what do you guys think, low or high level? Cheers, Justin :p

H Guys, Have found that rarest of rare species,a competent, reliable, resonable mechanic in the south east! He owns a Zed himself and has worked on several for AndyZ, he also helped me to complete my NA to TT conversion on my convetible Zed. So if that isn't a baptism of fire I don't know what was!!! He also built a formula ford championship winning engine, the name of the team escapes me now! His workmanship is painstakingly meticulous, with him taking more car on my car than I would of done! My only regret with this is that he won't have anytime to work on my car when you bums get hold of his number :D Hi name is Martin and he is a nice gu…
