Right - if you refer to my last post of "Duff Fuel" the problem has now worsened. I left car overnight and started up this morning fine. Just been around the block for a quick blat and as pulled back into my street noticed BATTERY light was on. Not only that the LIGHTS light the ANTI-LOCK light , DIFF OIL and MISS OIL Lights were all on. Then I noticed the temperature - in the MAX. switched off the engine and could here gurlgling noises from under the bonnet. About a litre of water came out from near the passenger front wheel. I let car cool down and just started up again to see. Car starts up fine but all them lights are still on. temp is now in norm. There is …

Or some similar kit at least, bluish in colour I think. Sorry for lack of detail, we passed quite quickly in the twisties as I headed up Castle Hill out of Farnham this afternoon (Saturday). Cool - is this the first actual 'was it you' post since this forum got renamed? :D

Hello all, I've done a search on here, but no-one seems to have reported the same symptoms that I'm experiencing, so I wonder if this is unusual: I have a 1993 manual TT 2+2 and when I change gear all is fine except except when I put it into top. It crunches unless I do it very slowly :( I'm no engineer – but changing down is not a problem, so I thought this can't be a synchro problem – can it? The car was tuned from new by a Nissan main agent to 340bhp for a lady owner. I bought it from them when she traded it in at around 80,000 miles and the car has now done about 90,000. Have had the problem for a while now – doesn't seem to get wors…

Hi came accross this in a search for rear lights etc. some interesting pieces of kit. The rear lights seem identical to the Z Centre Fiat Coupe ones except they're set in differently. The front twin light conversion is all in one piece instead of the separate units from SE. http://www.jacquemond.com/300.htm Geoff.

Hi, I saw an exit duct on Audi a while ago, but cannot remember the exact model. It looked very simple with what looked like a single peice of carbon fibre or black plastic acting as the vent, in a hole cut out of the bumper! Does anyone know which model audi it is?

Been playing in the Zed again today, and as fun as it is it is still missing a little something. Induction roar... I know how to fix this (I've done a search thank you) and bounced around the traders sites. However this is on eBay... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2457374721&category=36680&rd=1 Is it worth a look or should I assume that if I fit it then I will be rebuilding the engine next week? Not really that concerned currently about more BHP just a little more throaty. Many thanks.

I know some of you have these fitted already and I'm seriously considering one, but I'm after some idea of how cool the install can be. I've seen one that was just stuck onto the dashboard with the remote control dangling around off it - handy if you have to park somewhere where it might get nicked , but i really wanted a tidier 'installed' kind of a look. So get posting those pickies you guys (or links if you like!) Thanks in advance!

Right, I did a search for this earlier, and came up with this, that I thought would help me, http://www.twinturbo.net/ttnettech/glareguard/glareguard.html But this is the US version, without the side light included, so what I want to know is, is this the same procedure for removeing and replaceing a Jap spec fog lamp??? All I want to do is replace the bulb. I've found a screw on the front of the lamp unit, but that just turns and does nothing  The prob is that it was turning dark after I found this link, and couldnt be bothered to scratch around with a hand lamp :D Many thanks in advance for your help :) Dave :hyper:

Got the engine back in today. Also, put the flywheel and clutch on it and got the gearbox back on. So tomorrow is propshaft, exhaust, accessory belt stuff and engine electrical/water/oil connections day. So hopefully, fingers crossed, everything will be back working again by tomorrow night.

Some little twat has just lost control of crap heap and plughed into the size of my pride and joy. At least drivers side front wing, door (including mirror) and rear wheel arches are knackered. Clunch also seems to have become heavy, although this may be psychological. Since damage done by a third party who is 100% to blame (I have photos of the exact location, damage and puddle that he lost control turning in!!!!!), who has the right to declare my car an insurance write-off. Can I insist that his insurers repair it, taking legal action if necessery?

Hi guys, Eariler today I fitted an additional boost gauge to prepare for this months mods, fitting went well and was a nice easy job. However, i got a bit confused when I took it for a wee spin. Boost seems higher than it should be according to this boost gauge, standard boost I believe is 9.5psi, but with pedal on the boards this gauge reads that its boosting 10, sometimes slightly more (but I put this down to boost spiking). So im thinking, pah, crappy boost gauge (£70 one), not even accurate, so I took it back and got an apparently more accutarate one (another £40 on top of the other), and guess what, that sits at 10psi too?!? Boost jets anyone thin…

Hi, I have removed the EGR system on my Zed and believe that a few people have experienced detting at lowish rpm about 3K, once this is done? Did you have to get it remapped to get rid of the detting?

Ive recently fitted a new battery, radiator and a secnd hand alternator to my N/A 92 Zed. Everything works fine, the voltmeter in my pillar pod says 14volts all the time etc. However, jut went out for a long spin with my lights on heater on and stereo on, when i started getting into traffic it cut out twice! The revs just dropped so low they cut out. I have noticed that with the heater on the revs rise at tickover to about1000, when the heater is swithed off it drops down to about 400revs then backup to about 600 revs. Is this too low ? If so how can i alter it so that it ticks over at nearer 1000 revs? Or could there possibly be something else wrong with it ? …

Noticing the fuel gauge was very low this morning - I pulled into my local jet and put 45 quids worth of unleaded in. Pulled away and all was fine. About a mile and a half later revs drop and car starts stuttering and stalling. After furious pumping of the accelerator I can get it to tick over as long as I keep pumping the pedal. Car dies. Leave it for 10 mins - starts up fine. After a few juddery minutes down the road car seems to pick up and be fine again. another half a mile and car dies at lights. Many presses of pedal later I can get it to start and hop away from the lights. Then car picks up again and seems fine. Just managed to get home and car is revvin…
