help needed please guys - all suggestions welcome. on full throttle the boost rises to a tadge over 1 bar and then falls back to .8 of a bar. I cannot get a constant 1 bar boost. i thought it might be a problem with the boost controller (profec e-01) so tried setting up the boost manually. Even on 100% duty cycle it still couldnt hold 1 bar. Disconnected all inputs to the wastegates (done under very controlled conditions) and still not a constant 1 bar. 1 more symptom - the above boost characteristics are in 3 gear the boost pick up is smooth it just cannot hold 1 bar. boost in 1st and 2nd gear is much worse it feels like it is holding back all the …

Hi, Just before having the car serviced I started hearing the odd squeal whilst braking, had the garage take a look - they said pads were ok and cleaned the discs.. Now a couple of months later - it squeals just about every time I brake.. Dont know alot about the brakes - any ideas what i should be looking at, I think it is one of the front brakes... Hi, My Zed is due to be collected from docks at Southampton after laying stagment for the past 4 months due to shipping delays back in Japan etc. I have been told by someone that it would be really bad to drive the car too much after all this time. Somthing about the coolant going stale etc. Therefore I am in need of a decent place to take my new pride and joy to for a bloody good service. I will may also need a cambelt done depending on what the service history (if I have any) says. Anyone know a decent place in the South East or surrounding areas. I live in Camberley in Surrey so somewhere near there would be great:) Cheers, Justin

I've managed to use my trolley jack to raise my Zed onto axle stands. However, when I got under there I realised I had not used the correct lifting point (despite using the online manual :rolleyes: ) The section I have used was not badly damaged but there are a few pressure marks and indentations :( (see attached pic). Can anyone tell me what I've damaged and if there are any possible implications? CheerZ Steve

My Auto NA keeps stalling every, it seems to occur when the engine is warm and i am going down a hill or slope with my foot off the gas. Once i restart it seems fine until the next time i take the car out. I have clean the carb an the tps and most of the usual things but it still seems to occur. Any ideas??

I have a na 91 auto which is idling at 2K this symptom comes and goes also the box is not changing up properly and I am getting a flashing power light. The diagnostics I think are pointing towards a throttle position sensor, would a faulty tps account for both problems, the auto box problem also has come and gone over the last week. Is there a technical page where I can view the tps setup + test procedure. Apart from cleaning all the contacts is there any other servicable parts on a tps or is it a case of just junking it. many thanx

Evening Chaps A conversation with a tuner about fitting electronic boost control the other day suggested to me that my stock fuel pump in my z isn't up to the job and I will be running lean at 14psi. What do you think? I've not got bigger injectors - I'm not really planning to go above 14psi at this moment in time either. Thanks!

I have detonation all of a sudden in my jap import tt jap import, im running optimax with jap plugs, it sound's quite bad! I seem to be getting it and a code 34, would changing the plugs to uk one's make a difference. (standard boost) what can I do my good friends?? need help! Jim :cry:

All, I have a problem with irratic tickover. The car is generally great but occasionally, it sits just under 2000rpm when idling. If I turn the heater off it drops to about 1600. All the rest of the time it sits at about 800 perfectly. Strange one. I can't seem to put my finger on whether it's the weather or not. Am now keeping log ! Any ideas? Thanks, Ice

My z is currently running a 14psi boost upgrade, but was modified (before I bought it) using bleed jets and a fuel cut defencer. I want to sort this out with a good electronic boost control. I'm thinking of buying one of these along with some other bits from the US, but who would you reccomend to get to fit it and set it up? Also, I was told that with a car with 130,000miles, I should upgrade the fuel pump if I'm running more than stock boost. What do you think? Thanks for your input!

Anyone out there got a TEIN Flex suspension kit on their z? If so what do you thnik of it? And better still, is anyone using the electronic adjustment add-on? Just looking at importing a kit from the US and taking advantage of the old £/$ at the mo.!

Evening All Decided to have a spend on my Z. It has some corrosion damage to the rear panel (under the bumper) where it has had a crappy wing replacement and the moisture has got to it, and also a bit of rust underneath where someone has been careless jacking it up and the water has gotten under the paint around the jacking points. My local bodyshop, while they are competent, don't seem interested in doing anything more than a "We'll slap some paint over it and slow the rust down for a year or so..." as they say "It's an old car and isn't worth it!" :cry: As I am about to spend a couple of grand on suspension and brakes, plus electronic boost control, that ain't good…

I've got 3 Zed'S and they wont stop going O.K. Checked the PTU,throttle bodies, temp sensor and T.P.S. and they are all O.K. What can I do to break them?

Can anyone help me, i am trying to find some new 18 inch five spoke wheels which fit my 300zx tt 94 import. i've spoken to lots of different wheel companys and they cannot tell me a definate yes weather they will fit due to the wheel not clearing the brake caliper. It has turned in to a nightmare. My budget is up to £1000 for wheels and tyres. if anyone has wheels like these on there car could you tell me the make and model and where they came from. thanks.
