Does anyone else get what look like finger print marks on their metallic paint when it's freshly polished? The last few times I have given it a proper clean & wax, when the sun hits it at certain angles they seem to appear. When you get right up close you can't see them. I have tried T-cut metallic to remove them but this doesn't help. Just wondered if its my paint in particular or a general trait of the metallic black Nissan colour.

does anyone no if the rear wish bone of a 2/2 na will fit swb tt also if the rear bumper off the22 na will fit the swb tt thanks 4 your help

After all the talk about Skyline rear lights, I decided to check out the options. I was surprised that there seem to be a few configurations. I'm sure there's a Skyline expert out there who could shed a little light???

Hi, I'm about to replace all of the seals around the targas and the doors too. Before i go gung-ho! (and probably learn some expensive lessons) has anyone done this before, and have you any tips & advice please? (do they mount dry or is sealant used etc?) Thanks Leonard

How much to replace both rear Hicas track rod end ball joints!

Just got 2 of these BOVs, and gonna replace my recirc with these and use them as DVs for that lovely woosh :) Removed headlamp panel and induction kit and can see the original recirc's. Is there any easy or special way of removing them? UPDATE: Ive found a few places on web that say remove electric fan which is all good and dandy but the intercooler stops it from coming forward. To remove the bolts to move the intercooler forward means moving the oil cooler. These bolts are bitches. The right hand side one is free but the left is stupidly tight. One of the top 2 screws frmo the thermo fan sheared off and Im worried the oil cooler will go the same way. …

And what a difference, even driving around town, the car feels much more solid on the road, and they are a lot quieter than the Cobra (rear) and Bridgestone (front, Jap spec) that were on there... Plus they look the mutts nuts :)

Getting the dreaded blue smoke, hoping it's not turbo seals, seems to happen after a long run or when it's cold. Can someone give me an idiots guide as to what filters/breathers etc to check, where they are and how to clean them to rule them out before I have to have a look at the turbo seals. Presumably there's no way of telling if the turbo seals are gone without a horrid garage bill? Car has done 55k miles by the way.

hi all i have a problem with brake sqeal the z does it every time im out in it does any one no how to cure this as its becoming a pain as every time i come to traffic lights or junction they start to sqeal.

Right if all goes well should be starting my zed up tomorrow, but i still have to get some oil now what oil do i want, i've always used Comma Syner-Z Fully Synetic 0w-40. is it ok to stick with that? as i've never had any probs with it, and every motorfactors i hve been to have all recomended that oil! :confused:

Started stripping the HICAS off today while I was in there doing the timing belt. Basically found that to get rid of all the hydraulic pipe, solenoids etc. isn't too hard. You can use an N/A pump as I have, or by the looks of it open up the second chamber on the TT one and remove the veins from the impellar. NA is neater and much lighter though. For the resevoir you could get an NA one which would be neatest or use the TT one, block off the HICAS return line then modify the TT pump intake to fit the NA pump (Blank off the second inlet that would go to the HICAS section of the pump). Obviously you need the eliminator bar too! Will try to get some Pics tomo…

Me being polite thinks ill move over then nail him for his cheek moves over and wot goes past but a McClaren so me thinks bye bye i aint even gonna try ( just have to win the Lotto ) and then race 1 :rolleyes:

Hi all. Just went to start my z today to take it to the bodyshop and it is completely dead, cranks at a very healthy speed but just doesn't fire up. I guess it's the infamous ignition transistor module. Where's the best place to get one? Courtesy Nissan? I can't find them on the net anymore, do they still exist? Cheers :(

Noticed today that the right hand side of my new radiator moves backwards and forwards about 1cm in total. I know there should be a little give in the mounts but the left hand side seems a lot tighter. Has the garage missed off a bolt or two on it, or shouild it move that much? Cheers.

What does a dump valve do how much are they and do they make any difference?????????????

Anyone know how where to lube or how to sort a sticky throttle. Every now and then you have to push acc pedal dreasonably firmly and hear a click before revs climb. also when changing gear at high speeds and high revs throttle seems to stick open for half a second making gear changes embarrissing

Hi, Had to do some mods for the power steering belt from my NA to fit the TT engine I put in the convertible! The trouble is the stock PS belt now is too big for the the system, I think the stock belt has a 920mm circumference, I need something smaller and wondered if anyone might know of a source?

The engine will be pulled out tomorrow. Where is best to attach the sling. Does any one have any pics of where to put it?

Strange one this, My air con stopped working about 2 weeks ago, car has just turned 10 years old, I presume she needs to be regassed. Anyway even with 10degrees set on, the dial hot air seems to come from vents to windscreen. This hottish air is fogging the windscreen making it impossible to see until I turn on air con full and 40 degrees on screen and drive with both windows down.(too cold this time of year) I presume whats happening is petrol fumes are being sent to windscreen. There is a slight smell but nothing much. Whats the solution? Re-gas the cylinders and hope the lower temp air prevents fumes from vapourising or go through fuel line f…
