im hopefully buying a 3oozxTTon saturday and want some advice on what to check for on the z coz i dont want to buy a f**d 1 its on a 92kplate and has 50k on the clock and is manual in transmission looks the b**locks though and plz the best advice on checking turbos r in good knick cheers

Why would my steering wheel be slowly moving out of true position? (It's an after market momo).

I'm getting a whisleing sound from the engine when i'm accelerating or cruseing, its pitch changes with the presure on the throttle and it dose it before the boost gauge reads boost. anyone know what this is? Hi there, I changed my cam belt and all was ok until i started the car. The cam belt job was a good un' but my electric fan at the front has come on and won't go off. I think its a n intercooler fan(is that right??) .Should it be on constant as i pulled a piece of paper/carboard out of it or should it come on after a good thrashin'. I have never heard this before and i've had the car 6 months. Why o Why do these thing happen. Just as you conquer one thing another happens........ :( :cry:

hey guys! :bow: does any one have any engine hoist brackets i can borrow? have ordered nissan ones but on back order(6-8 weeks), have started taking engine out and cant find any other suitable place to bolt craine etc! any help gratefully recieved!!!! steven

Willie O - are you out there? You replied to me a couple of weeks ago when I was trying to find a garage and you mentioned Hypertech. Having gone through some threads, I see there is a guy called Colin Dick who has had some work done and I am wanting to get his opinion on them. I'm sure there are lots of Colin Dicks out there but I used to work with a guy of that name at Scottish Widows - same guy? Pushing the car Quite hard round a fast sweeping left hander when it felt like a lump went through the steering wheel. Followed by arse end coming unglued and a short fight for survival. Once I regain control of the car the steeing wheel was at least 20 degrees out of true. the tracking seems fine and having had the car on the ramps there is no obvious signs of any thing wrong. ????? Anyone Please

am I correct in thinking Red wire - connect to 12 volt constant Green wire - connect to ignition wire white wire - Conect to secondary ignition or accessory wire

Someone's probably asked this already but what exactly does a dump valve do apart from make a nice sound???????

In the back i have 275/35/18 and i found a pair of 235/40/18 front for a very low price. All tyre guys suggest that if u have the 275/35/18 back u should fit 255/40/18 front basically 2 sizes bigger in the width and 1 size bigger at height. Will i have any probs if i fit the 235/40/18? Anyone that had problems with tha same setup? :confused::confused::confused: Thanks

I really like the look of these and want to get some before billing, however I've seen the conversion done on peoples cars with the 99kit from the states, has any one got any direct side to side photos? I think I prefer the DIY jobs because they don't have the black lines on them. Where is the kit available from?

Silver Z spotted in Romford crossing the A12 heading into Romford, anyone from here?

Guys I have nice shiny polished stainless exhausts but - if I clean them, after only a couple of days they are covered in black again. Is this evidence of a fuel mixture problem or just normal ? Mark

Do i have a boost leak? I get whistling sounds as soon as the boost starts to build and it pulls a bit then loses power then pulls then loses power then pulls and keeps pulling! :confused: also i noticed blue smoke as i was backing into works carpark, is this just oil burning off dew to the rebuild (only started running the car last night (done 150km so far) ) or is it the dreded rear seals going? :confused: :cry:

For those of you that are looking to go for one of these! ...But don't want these! ...You could do this! All you need is 2 bulb holders from the standard side repeaters, 2 orange bulbs, Drill, some choice drill bits and a steady hand. Just though I'd share that with you.

Will it free up much power? Considernig the exchange rate at the moment, it is rude not to buy some more stuff ;) I was thinking about a lightened Flywheel, maybe the segmented one. Do you think it is worth the money? Is it a good investment? Stuart

Hi, I have got an oil cooler which I believe is the same as the one luke at the zedcentre sells! The only problem is the fittings to connect it to the oil hoses are too big any idea where I might get some smaller fittings from?
