You may have noticed some serious solid advice from Smithy in response to a question I posted about after market tubs. I'd be well happy to hear from anyone who's upgraded or replaced their tubs to try to get some more background while I save up for the BIG SPEND!!! I just can't decide between stage 1 or stage 2 spec. :hyper:

I have standard uk rear wheels with 245's on, anyone know what is the maximum width tyre I can put on the rear? Thanks.

Is there a BIG difference between a cat back custom stainless system or just having custom stainless back boxes fitted?? (besides price ;) )

Just got a set of new tyres for the rear - car feels odd for handling and a bit leery!!! Whats the rule of thumb for bedding them in to remove the coating thats on new tyres?

I've just cut the wires to the solenoid on the key barrell so that I can remove my keys when the turbo timer's counting down, and that now works fine...but for some reason when I now put the car into reverse, the beeping has suddenly become really really loud with long tones, rather than the original short, quiet beeps that i had before I cut the wires to the ignition. :confused: :confused: As such, I now need to stop this beeping! Can anyone tell me which wires to disconnect?? thanks again guys. Ch ;)

Hi Guys N Gals Ive got a problem with the zed and its really starting to pee me off now! Its a twin turbo manual and i can only describe it as 'popping' basically when i start it in the morning and its cold it idles lumpy. When you walk round the back of the car - because of the after market exhaust you can here it irregular popping! like a miss fire! - and it revs high as well. When you rev it it sounds beautiful. and when its warm everything seens ok! Last week i changed the plugs, fuel filter, and air filters. I havnt done the throttle bodies yet - could this be the problem? Thanks Tom

what is the cut off point where imports have to have cats fitted. I know its 1995, but what month is the cut off point.

I have the standard Nissan radio unit and don't get any sound from the front speakers. I pretty sure it's not the radio since I have swapped it with another and get exactly the same behaviour. I've check the resistances from the conector that plugs into the radio and get 4 ohms each side so it looks like the speakers and loom are OK. I also get a bit of a hum from the front passenger side speaker even with the radio switched off. I thought that the body shop might have disconnected something when they replaced the driver side door, but then I would have still expected to get some sound from the passenger side speaker Anyone got ideas because I'm preple…

I have looked around my engine and cannot see it anywhere. Can someone tell me where i can find it please. IT's a 94 tt import if thats any help.

I have been quoted £500 to replace the rear brake lines on my 92 tt auto UK spec Z, apparently the subframes have to be dropped and the transfer box removed. Does anyone know if this is right or is there a better way(cheaper).

Any one know where I can get a car jigged in the North West area? Preferably in Liverpool or Manchester area. Or Wigan/Warrington/St. Helens way. Thanks Stuart

Hello all, I have just taken some readings from my throttle position sensor and wondered if any of you could confirm wether my problem is the sensor itself or the wiring leading to it, going into the side I have white/red 0v green/red 11.9v and white/black 0v, coming from the bottom I have Black 0v white 0v red 0v and moving the sensor itself made no difference to any reading, car symptons are that when slowing down for corners it sometimes dies on me, the car itself is a 1990 n/a automatic, cheers Richard.

Hi, saw you flash but had the missus nagging at me so didn't get to flash back in time.

just did a search and got plenty of different answers so dnt know what to do! first of all is it safe to drive th car?? will i screw up th engine?? wots a CAS? how can adjusting that sort out my problem? how do i adjust th timing? wots the standard setting? anything to help me out appreciated guys,there aint no mechanical wizards in leicester by chance?? ive got a uk head unit in my car but no raido as ive found the arial in my car will not fit the head unit??? it has 2 prongs on the lead as its a jap spec. can i buy a adapter to convert it to fit my head unit or do i have to buy a new arial???? :confused: :hyper: :confused:

Hi, Just wondering if anyone knows an easy way of wiring up a remote engine starter inside the engine bay. I would still want the key in the ignition, in the 3rd position. I just want to be able to start the engine without bothering to move from the engine bay. Cheers Vijay
