Hey all! I need to know of any cheep but half decent bodyshops to get rid of a few dents and a full respray in the South East Essex area. Getting embarrised driving my lovely Z with dents in her. :cry:

does anyone have or know where i can get a steering wheel hub kit that will work with the hicas? i have just bought one that is supposed to be for the 300 and the connector on the back is totally different. if i remove the hicas sensor the hub will fit but the horn sounds every time i turn the wheel!

Quick question if the above error codes are permantly present I presume that the car will be in permanent safety boost 34 = det sensor 42 = Fuel temp circuit Ryan

Hi folks, not sure if this will interest anyone on here, but here goes! For those of you that may want BOVs, but dont want to pay the 300+ that it costs see below! Me and a friend of mine fitted some Apexi BOVs to his Z the other day, and it ran like poo, anyway, it turned out one of the BOVs was faulty and sticking open a little bit, letting air out/in and freaking everything out, so they are been sent back. Anyway, after taking them off and putting the Re-circs back on, I suggested to him that I thought of a cheaper way to fit dump valves (all he wants them for is the whoosh noise, ricey, but his car). Anyone tell me what the cheapest options are for repairing leaky turbo seals? I hear that I might as well get the turbos re-done or replaced at the same time and I was wondering what the options might be without spending a fortune. All helpful suggestions welcome.

Following my turbo seal disaster of last weekend which has temporarily halted my wide-arch project and new intercoolers depending on the total cost...the car is going in to get the engine removed, the turbo seals replaced and the turbos reconditioned in two weeks time. I've asked the garage that is doing it to replace the PCV valves whilst they're at it, and check all hoses and replace as necessary. Anything else sensible I should get them to go whilst the engine is out of the car and life is relatively easy? Cheers

Strange problem after going sideways and up a kerb at the weekend. Had the car on a ramp and 4 wheel aligned and everything ok. Checked everything - ok. When she's cold it doesn't seem to want to go into gear at all. When it's in gear it seems to be creeping foward like the clutch isn't clearing properly. Could the impact have caused this? Doesn't seem to be any damage underneath. After she's warm seems to almost fall into gear. Is this air in the clutch fluid system? Or low fluid? Does anyone have a pic of where the clutch fluid reservoir is located? Cheers Ivan

right i have this problem if i accelerate from a low speed i get a poping sound (could be Det! :( ) from the zorsts, the car also will not pull even thou the boost gauge is showing positive boost! now this is the interesting part it dont do it all the time! only sometimes. Could this also be connected with the whisle that i can hear from the engine? could it be a leak in the inlet before the turbos? Someone must be able to help me! please? P.S. running stock boost. and ECU shows code 55 all clear Mathew

i only just got car and first off started car this morning idled to about 2000rpm few secs l8r clouds of white smoke from exhaust when oil temp reached normal ,revs went down to 900rpm and no more smoke was noticeable after that driving was fine any help,gurgling soung on tickover but i think thats the reed valves is this curable the white smoke that is!!

How long do parts from Courtesy take to get here by air ? Do they use the postal service or someone like FedEx or UPSair ? Thanks John

Is this the intake manifold bit? or Is it the big aluminuim thingy on the top! of the engine? is this the same bit? Do they polish up? Cos Ive got a spare one of these thingys & if it polishes up it would look nice! Arthur

can somebody with the wide bodykit and fuel tank extension tell me if the fuel tank is still pressureised?? i dont get any hisss when the fuel cap comes off and dont know if thats cause of the bodykit or whether the fuel pressuriser on the engine is buggered

Hi guys, I'm new to Zeds and just wondered if you could help me out... When starting the engine from cold (or after leaving it for an hour or so) I get a quite loud clicking/knocking sound coming from the passenger side of the engine. It is in time with the engine revs ( I press the accelerator and it gets faster), it also seems to be louder when the car is moving. The sound lasts for about 4-5mins (until the engine has warmed up I presume). Another thing that may or may not be related is that I get a strange whining sound from the gearbox for about the same amount of time too but this was there a few weeks before the knocking sound appeared. Yes this seems common. Done away with the cats and now has smoke from the left zorst intermittantly on idle. Could the PVC be the problem? I've seem a lot of posts about them. If worst case, Where's the best place to have my tubs reconed? Full symptoms: - Does it more when cold, only on idle, no smoke at all when moving? Only from the passanger side, drivers fine other than usual steam type. Sometimes its fine once warm. When it does smoke, hold the revs at 2k and it stops. Smoke as soon as the engine was started after new zorst. Zorst fitted Friday now Monday. Help? :cry:

The stock induction system seems OK but what do you buy that will give you an excellent sound alligned with increased BHP? Budget of £300. :confused:

This is the radio end of the wiring loom for my Pioneer cd player. What I want to know is, is this the puka connector, or is it an aftermarket one. The main reason for asking is that if it's been added, then they did a proper job. The cars loom is the female side of this one, without any thru-crimps, straight into it, and this side is then straight upto the head units connector. Shame i'm gona rip it all out and put an ISO connector in :D. Anyway, if anyone can answer this, I'm just curious :D Thanks Dave

went sideways round a bend on full boost and s*it myself but felt in control one question as its an import the clocks r in kph which i hate r they easaly calabrated and does the change to mph read accuretly after cheerz happy car owner fast as ****!!!

OK, so been looking at Det again toady. Bear in mind, Thor O2 sensor clearly showed that this was leaning out not timing. This was on both my car and Leigh (Friday's) mine with various maps. So today, replaced FPR with new one (thanks Leigh) and connected up fuel pressure gauge. Result: 3bar with atmospheric on vac line, constant 3bar + boost under load, similar story on Leigh's car. So no pressure problem, but STILL DETTING! Other stuff done - EGR system disabled by removing sol valve. EGR valve works OK as applying vacuum to line when idling does make the engine run like crap. Returns to normal when pressure relased so no sticking. Possibility that val…
