January 28, 200422 yr Geoff Tell me what you want from the controller and i'll tell you which one is suited to your needs and budget :) I'm using jets at the moment - it runs ok but I'd hope for a smoother response with a controller. I suppose I'm not looking for anything too complicated: just the usual stuff. I also want one that's not too complicated to fit. Geoff.
January 28, 200422 yr Profec B all the way then Geoff. http://www.getgreddy.co.uk/shop/popup_image.php?pID=29 Very simple use with non of the complex functions that the other units have. Very small compact unit as well that can easy be placed in a din slot. I have the silvers in stock so any more questions you have let me know :)
January 28, 200422 yr Chris - thanks for that - what other colours do they come in. Can you give me the dimensions. Do you supply it with ALL the parts needed to fit it. How much for me as subscribed member???? Thanks, Geoff.
January 28, 200422 yr Measures 80mm wide by 85mm deep comes with everything ready to be fitted. The units are on special offer at £260 as the normal price is £275. Best i can do on it is £245 delivered :)
January 28, 200422 yr Chris, I'm very interested too, as a boost controller is probably my next purchase. - I was hoping that I could find one with a good clear 'live' display of boost level as I only have a stock boost gauge and don't really want to fill my car interior with bolt on bits. I know that some people have fuel controllers too and swear by them, but there's a newish one out with a big display that everyone seems to recommend (can't remember which one now! - duh!). I'd also like to have 3 boost settings (low - for the missus, normal - for everyday and 'BOOYAH' for everytime I see a Scooby!) - all advice (and prices) most welcome. I keep thinking that it would be great if someone could do a comparison table of all the available kit because this topic keep croping up on the forum and although I read all the threads, I still don't know what to buy!
January 29, 200422 yr Chris - I've been trawling around your web site to try to do some research on Boost controllers and it seems that you stock the following options.... APEXI - AVCR (£399) BLITX - SBC I-D (£450) HKS - EVC (£525) GREDDY - PROFEC BII (£260) GREDDY - PROFEC e-01 (£420) Then I note that the first two have optional additional plug-ins (fuel controllers??) and I soon get very confused! Are they all similar in cost and complexity to have fitted? The display on the e-01 looks the business, but I'm not sure where it would fit on the dash, or where I'd want the remote control unit! (I saw one of these in the flesh and it looked like a 'temporary' install). Then I like the idea of the BLITZ's 4 preset levels, but I guess I'd need a good boost gauge to go with it (running out of space on the dashboard again!) I know there are plenty of you out there that have gone through this process - so any advice and experiences would be very welcome.
January 29, 200422 yr Nigel all those price come down quite a bit for members ;) I'll contact you later on as i gotta shoot out for a couple of hours so speak to you in a bit :) It's Zed time for me :D
January 29, 200422 yr Have fun! Looking forward to hearing some more on this! :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:
