Hey folks The light in my boot's staying on when I close the boot. I guess there's a litle switch somewhere that's sticking? Any idea where it is? Or do you think the problem could be something else? Cheers! :nana2:

Yesterday I started to notice a change with the engines response time relating to the change from normal driving to full throttle - it felt like the engine was holding back and then i noticed what felt like a mild missfire or rumble with the pedal on the floor, I was going about 40mph at the time and during this the car only managed to get to about 60mph - deffo not normal. 5 miles down the road and I tried it again - this time all was ok and the car pulled nicely with tonnes of power and turbo spooling. could this be a coil pack related problem or something more nasty?? I havnt a clue where to start looking and best of I have a new job to start on Monday! …

...and this one actually has an engine in it...er...albeit one that is "slightly" poorly. Despite it being a crackin' motor, and although I'd just bought a 200Tdi engine and ALL the bits to swap it in (can you sense an undercurrent of exasperation here? Lol!) my other half just wasn't getting on with our Land Rover 90. The plain and simple fact is she's just too little for a Landy and it was a bit on the difficult side for her to drive. I can't moan though as she's just bought me the mother of all presents ( http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=103596 ). So knowing how much she loves Z's I've just bought petey099's NA for us (mainly her TBH). All being wel…

Right, I am fitted new springs and dampers as well as camber adjustment arms, front and rear + front tension rids all from powertrix. What other suspension bushings really need to be replaced? I am getting new hicas arms for it, but would like to know what additional bushings I need. I guess I also need the gaskets too between strut top and turrets.

Hello All Sorry for repeating this but looking at previous posts my problem may be different, not sure. Basically it's the old chestnut of key won't release out of ignition barrel, the little push button will not push in at all, the key still freely rotates both directions so i can still turn the engine over or turn it off etc. the car is an auto jap 92, i've tried moving the gear selector, it's in park of course but can't free it up by giving it a slight wiggle, steering lock isn't on either, so i really don't know. used to get this occassionally but the key always released after you turned the engine over again or drove somewhere etc. any help grea…

This lot turned up today from the US. The Powertrix stuff is simply fantastic. Amazing quality and was worth the money just as bits of nice engineering to look at LOL! Had no idea the top arms were that big. They look tiny in the photo online.

As many of you already know, we've recently had a problem with subscription notifications, resulting in many of our members still logged as Subscribed Members well after their annual subscriptions expired. We have recently sorted out this problem, however, as a result, we have had to amend approx 180 Subscribed Members back to Registered Users. We obviously want these members back, as this problem was no fault of theirs. By way of encouragement to re-subscribe, we are making the following offer. I was thinking about selling it - although I'm not sure. We've got the baby now - it's not the most family friendly car! It's unusual as it's a genuine 1999 car with all the 1999 spec refinements (different front and rear bumpers, lights, white dials, stiffer chassis, uprated brakes etc etc etc) 300ZX Z32, genuine 1999 car, NA, auto, 2+2, targa, very nice late spec fabric interior. Standard and mint except very nice 18" wheels, Apexi intake and stainless twin exit exhaust. Original Skyline metalic purple, 63,000 miles, full (specialist) service history since it's been in the UK. So.... what's it worth? A couple of 1999 BMWs for …

I have a whining clutch - the sound disappears when i push the clutch pedal down (even in neutral) but then reappears when i let go (and increases in pitch when i accelerate). Does anyone have any ideas what might be causing this? And secondly, would it make a huge difference to the acceleration? For some reason my Z (SWB TT Manual) just doesnt feel as fast as it used to - im not sure whether this is just me getting used to the speed or could be due to the clutch. cheers in advance!

I know you are all going to say the stock oil pressure gauge is buttons dont worry about it and i am not as i have an aftermarket gauge too but it is a nice to have and it is good to have everything working especilly when i come to sell it. since my last oil change i noticed that the oil gauge is slow to respond and even more accurate than ever and struggles to show higher pressures. At one point it was actually reversed (going up when the oil pressure was going down and visa versa) but this was solved by the old electrical fix of turning off and turning on again. Have i knocked something when doing the oil change? where does the sensor sit? anyone ever experien…

hi there chaps i'm about to up the boost slightly on my twin tub, and haveing already planned for this on my other car (a 2.5 v6 twin tub mitsi) the chaps that know their onions with the VR4's have advised that the stock re-circ dump valves will likely leak as the springs and other internals weren't up to the job and are likely slightly weaker with age too. so is this likely to be the same with the Z32?, afterall my car being an october 92 is five years older than my 97 VR4. if so, what dump valve arrangement is best? replace them where they, or get the hard pipe kit as per Z1 motorsport HKS thingies? thanks guys shrew
