General Discussions - 300ZX Related

I have a JDM 2+2 Auto TT. I have put a new engine in and I am ready for the start up except one hose! From a previous post it seems maybe only certain models have this hose. Below the alternator by the metal bar across the under side of the car there are two metal pipes facing the front of the car. One hose from these goes to the bottom of the rad on the passenger side and carries water. The other is an oil hose, it is about 1 1/2-2ft long with a '?' shape at the end and is about -10mm bore. Now I have filled the oil in the car it does leak oil if not blocked off. Does anybody know where it should fix to?? I can't find anywhere and it is the only thing stopping …

Just a quick post to introduce myself. I live in the North East, and will be looking to purchase a z32 after the expense of christmas has passed, preferably a manual twin turbo. I have had a couple of Silvia Turbo's (s12) in the past and loved every minute of owning them. So no doubt closer to the day I will be posting franticly for buying advice and help!. Hey Saw a Red Uk what seemed to be a TT with 99 spec rear lights. I got abit excited lol Was in a black Saab with the Missus Ste.

After conductiong a boost leak test on my ZX I found a lot of air was being lost around where the brass "cross section" fits to the main body of the valve... now would this be a common are for the Zed's to lose boost pressure from? Also the gasket has seen better days, so will be replacing that too... Pics to illustrate below:

Well one nut or bolt was bound to do a runner while i am working on the zed. Still getting better :rofl: What type of nut that secures the steering arm bolt to main wheel disc, suspension frame thingy.

I've finally got my zed back after five months off the road. I'll post some pics when I've given her a clean, because I think she's looking lurverly! :bow: Today I went to meet up with a guy I used to work with for a pub lunch and catch up and on the way I ended up dancing with a Corvette for a while. Couldn't wipe the smile off my face all afternoon. :D

:rant: Any ideas...... When I get in the car & start it up ... my brake lights dont work. Switch headlights on, and the back lights work - its just the brake lights (the warning light comes on in the dash when pressing brake) ....... half way through the journey the warning light stops coming on and my brake lights work again :confused: Fuse - checked Switch on brake pedal thing - checked Bulbs - checked they arn't blown or loose Wiring problem maybe? Anyideas where to check first?

Anyone ever heard of these? Looking for some for my car, basically so that when the car is unlocked, the drivers door "pop" open a little bit.

Is there a guide or a step by step to removing the front door cards? I am new to the 300 and dont want to brake anything ie. brackets, clips etc. Also what size speakers fit straight into the front pods with no modification? Thanks Dudes.

I've almost finished fitting the engine in, just oil/water to do and... The gearbox earth, is it bolted on with one of the top bolts that join the engine and gearbox or does it go somewhere else? Also I have one hose I can't find a home for. The small hose that goes from the lower part of the rad (lhs) to a pipe on the rhs below the alternator, at that point there is another pipe next to it which the hose that comes off it is about 18ins long with a '?' piece at the end, not sure where it goes? Any help appreciated, once these are done I can try and start her

I am going to buy a trim set for my car. I'm seriously thinking about a carbon finish but the question is that there are about four seperate sellers on eBay selling 300zx trim sets. Most have pretty good feedback but the kits differ a little in price and number of pieces. The sellers are Woodashtrims Autobum and Fortuna1223 Has anyone bought from these guys and know the quality of the product??
