Hi all, OK....... If you have bov's fitted (dump valves) and the spring rating is too high for the boost pressure to vent the valves (in the bov's), would this be bad for the tubs/engine etc. Al.

Ok......need to mod my rides section with pictures as stella has nominated me for car of the month........but the flaming pics are apparently to big:|:|!! how am i meant to get them smaller? P.S I give my permission to be nominated.

My mechanic has taken it for a spin, he says he can here a slight rattle from passenger side tub whilst driving, could this be? The boost still goes to 1 bar fine and still pulls ok, I cant hear anything, I had a smoke leak test done and he says he can see smoke comming from both tubs but passenger one side more than the other, Its booked in to have the manifold/turbo gaskets replaced, hes going to have a better look then, the turbos I have are jwt530bb tubs which have only done a few thousand miles, I hope my tubs are ok.

ive had my volt tester on the car. i tested the loom in the engine bay where it meets each of the injectors (i have removed the standard yellow connectors as were full of the green gunk, and replaced with speaker spades) they both showing 12+ at the loom, when connected to the injectors :eek: disconnected the loom from the injectors, then tested again, one of them shows 12+, the other shows 0 (when engine off) as should :) then the negative wire shows -8ish (fluctuates) then when turning over. as should :) ive tested the wires at the ECU also, and results are same as above. When importing parts from the US is there anyway of knowing or working out just how much import tax and additional charges i would be forced to pay when receiving my items. I know its sometimes just a chance you take , sometimes you can get away without being charged others your not so lucky but ive heard people saying that if you get the sender to mark on it as being a gift or marking the value down then you're more likely to get away with it, is this true , or is there any other ways around it. I dont want to spend a couple thousand dollars then get hit with monster import fees to collect from local post office. :mad:

Would this make a difference in the running of the car if both gaskets were shot?

Hi all, I'm going to sell the Zed, as I haven't used her yet this year! She is an H reg TT Auto LWB in black with black leather, about 80k, and loads of nice servicing done including regular oil changes and timing belt service. Just had a secondary oil cooler put in too. I know it probably doesn't add much to the price but she is sitting on brand new KYB adjustable gas dampers and eibach springs, brand new drilled and grooved discs with red stuff pads at the front, braided hoses, new tension rod bushes etc etc. Nice smooth ride, not crashed or thrashed! I've been looking in Autotrader and the prices seem to go from under £2000, which seems too little, up to…

Im curious on peoples thoughts. Personally i dont know if the engine would hold out and if the handling would be good. The only proper Zed drift car I saw was one being crashed on a youtube vid lol

I have had the car off the road since Febuary. Just started her up and the engine ran for about 20 seconds and then slowly stopped. Trying to restart, sounds like it wants to start but won't. Since it's been off the road i have changed the plugs, cam belt, water pump, radiator, oil, fuel filter, oil filter, removed hicas and A/C and fited underdrive pulleys and new belts. My gut feeling is that it is not electrical, and that there is no fuel getting to the engine. Does any one know how to check the pump is working? I disconnected the filter and there was a bit of fuel in it. Turning the engine over with the fillter off, no fuel pumped out - should it?:(

Hi All Jap auto tt Not sure whether related.. did an emergency type stop this evening.. all fine and drove off..however my boost gauge is reading 0. Was fine before reading in both minus and plus as expected. When the car is turned off the gauge drops to -7, start again and it centres and stays there. Idles ok, seems to run ok. Im a little new to the z so would appreciate any ideas/info Regards Daz
