Both of my alarm fobs for the Zed have the rubbers perished, so after a bit of digging I've contacted a seller on eBay, who sells the same alarm as mine and states that he is a fitter of many years, to see if he knew where I could get some or even if he had any lying around! Well he's just contacted me back and says that they arn't available on their own (not surprised as Scorpion have gone out of business) so the only way he can help me is to take a couple out of a brand new alarm box and sell me just the rubbers.... for £10 + £2 P&P = £12 in total! Do you think that's a bit steep (as I'm sure he'll sell the alarm, with the fobs (just minus the rubbers) to some u…

Jealous.......i think so.lol. only joking:D! Well i set off at 6:30 this morning and went through to edinburgh where my pal drove me down to sunderland to get my new toy. I comfortably feel ive bought one of the best examples of a zed that has been extremely well looked after. I would like to thank stella for being a top block and staying with his word he would sell to me as i showed proper intrest in the car and didnt waste his time after i gave him my offer on it. Cheers mate. So i showed off my impresive driving skills by stalling the car as i was leaving.............think the car felt sad.lol. But then it drove perfect for me coming home so i…

Turbo clarification, Just took the bumper off my red car to fit to my yellow run-around as its an NA bumper. I was able to see some writing on one of the turbos and I think it had M24. I have done a search and it comes up with garrets, would this be right or could they still be standard ones. Also are they any good??

Hi team! From what I have read on other forums it seems very possible to remove the EGR whilst the engine is in and whilst the Plenum is off - helps a lot as well. My question is: I have no desire or wish to drop the tranny or do do any major removal beyond where I am at now; so I need a backup plan. Removing the two EGR pipes to the base of the plenum looks easy enough, if I can get the two/three bolts out that hold the actual EGR unit to the engine - thats good - but what if I can't remove the connection to the exhaust manifold? What are my options at that point? I have made blanks to cover the plenum connections so need a plan 'B' in case thats a…

Had these fella's sat in the garden shed for about a month now. Decided i wasnt to keen on the BBS RX-2's that came on the car. That coupled with them only being 255 wide on the rear pretty much made up my mind that bbs's needed to be removed. Before: After: I spent about half an hour looking at the rear wheels from different angles deciding if they stick out too far. Looking from the front, they look fine but when I looked from the rear, they appeared to sit miles out.

Evening All, As this week-end comes closer to the end. Would anyone(s) be able to shed some light relating to turbo failure symptoms. My main question being: Can turbos fail without giving any smoke through the exhaust, and typical tell-tell signs.. If so..can you notice this by the way the turbo sounds under load whilst driving the car and will performace be affected? Regards Kash

put one side on to see how they sat. Andrei did say the tyres protruded slightly on the rears but is a little too far for my liking. Also after a good and suprisingly long searching through the brake dust found the rim size and offset which explains the rears overhang. Shame really cos I liked the design a lot and could have got new polished sleeves to set them off. C'est La Vie :(

Does anyone know the max size/dimensions of each of these that our cars can take without the need for modification to fit? Having had the engine rebuilt I was considering some bigger coolers/smics but not sure whats the biggest I can go. Any you have experience with would be appreciated too! Cheers in advance..

I can't get 3rd and 4th gear, looking through the manual, I have found 3 unit solenoid shift set, how would you test this set?.. rather than taking the gearbox to bits, is there any easy way to test it?.. and does the autobox ecu control it?.. Is it the ecu that controls the gears at speed range?.. and is it 3rd & 4th gear? Thanks

At the moment i'm staying in Nice in France and was able to bring the car along for a bit. Yesterday i went up into the mountains behind Nice and headed east across the Italian border before returning along the coast. It was the most amazing collection of mountains and valleys i've ever seen and has pretty much every type of road at some point or another. I've just had a load of suspension gear fitted and had it set up right by a race tuning shop so the Z felt absolutely amazing through everything from long fast sweeping turns to the 180 degree twists on the roads going down the sides of the mountains. For a 13 year old car i think it did pretty well. I'm pleased to …

Just been out to 'In N Out Express' at Cribbs causeway to get it regassed. Bloody system has a leak. Guys there can't find it via the engine bay and they only have shollow pits to inspect under the car. They are gonna book the car in with a specialist which is great. The downside is it could take all day to sort out meaning silly £££ :( Anyhow if any locals need aircon regassing, check these guys out. All very proffesional, clean & tidy - a bit like Protyre.
