While doing my engine rebuild i noticed that the knock sensor and loom looked as though they had seen better days. I asked in the wanted section if anyone had one, but 300 zedx thinks that if you have a chipped ecu this would cancel out the knock sensor safety mode meaning that i wouldn't need one? Does anyone know before i look to get one please. Thanks, Ant

Hello all, Quick gauge of people in the know, if I could - Clutch pedal was wrongly adjusted by garage, and through driving normally (ie cruising round town, not too fast) and not quite being able to tell what was wrong with the car exactly, I was driving with it for 2 weeks - broken! burning out the clutch. How much would this of damaged my clutch??? as they think I might now need a new one! and could the garage be liable? Thanks

My car has had all flipping tyers slashed and nearly every panel scratched, the car was an absolute minter. Having tyers put on later, the cheapest tyer available £304 just to get it moving again, god knows what its going to cost to get the body work right, I wont feel sorry the person after I get hold of them, they going to be in a much worse state than my car. Police have been called, my breakdown wont cover the cost of recovery and I would loose my no claims if i go through my insurance, looks like im going to have to pay out my own pocket.

Hello, I did recieve some very useful help on this last week, but it appears my garage has changed mechanics from the one who used to do all my work and the new one is nowhere near as good! Basically the clutch pedal went and they mended it, but didnt adjust the pedal properly so once i worked out what was wrong (via the site & its helpful fellows) i took it back and they mended it again using notes off this site as guidelines, (for free). I have now got it back and the problem still seems to be there but in the higher gears only. Now this could be due to the more powerful accerlaration in the lower gears making it harder to tell, but the higher gears seem to be …

  15. Hi guys! I'm a proud owner of a '98 Nissan Primera P11 (or '99 Infiniti G20) which is going to go SR20VE. I did a front brake conversion which results into having 280 x 30mm rotors along with the Z32/S14 4 pot caliper (Sumitomo). For daily street driving im using ProjectMU B-Force pads which is ok. Now im looking for a set of pads for trackuse (Nordschleife, Zandvoort, Zolder). Which do you guys recommend. I find it hard to find something usefull because i dont know what temperatures are reached. I find the ProjectMU pads glaze too fast (pedal remains hard). The car has a weight off appr. 2600 pounds / 1200 kg. Im already using ATE Blue Racin…

Oh, so it's been a while since we had an insurance roundup. I've just had a very impressive quotation from Lyndbrook who I'll be changing my insurance to next month saving me £200+ on my existing policy. I go from having unlimited mileage to a limit of 5k a year, which is no biggy as I do about that anyway, in fact, I probably do 3,000 a year. So, let's have every one's age, the state of their licence/no claims, what you're paying, what you get and who you're with. Funkysi: 30 : 91 JDM TT: Full no claims + clean licence. Garaged, limited mileage (5K on classic 2nd car policy), all mods declared £285 fully comprehensive. Lynbrook.

basicly ive had big problems with wiring up my stereo, most of the origional wires had been cut etc and replaced with otherones, i found that the switched live wire was the one from the cigarette lighter.... i had the radio working but then went to wire up my under seat neons the the same live and must have blown something. The fuses have been checked and are fine, but the cigarette lighter or my stereo doesnt work, possibly something stopping the switchable live, being live! any ideas what else it could be ???

Curious. 5 years or so ago, it was was understood that there were a high percentage of Auto's to Manuals in the UK, as the manuals were harder to find and more sought after a couple of years later, polls showed that Manuals had the slight edge compared to Auto. ...how about these days ? If you have a Auto converted to Manual, then choose Manual.

I am now struggling to decide what colour to spray my Z, I was going to go for a red, purple and blue flip paint or a kandy wine red. But I aint sure any more. I also like a metallic purple. At the moment I am open to all colours and would like to see some pics of your favourite coloured Z
